Wednesday October 27th,

There is nothing like the peace that comes from God's word.

No, there is nothing like the peace that comes from God's word. We live in a world and time of great pain, suffering and turmoil, here in the USA, as in the est of te world. Yet, no matter how bad thing are or get to be, and they can and will get mighty bad, mighty fast if John Kerry, a true and lasting servant of evil, is elected president of the USA.

But, even the election of John Kerry as president would not be as bad as that which my friend Ovide and his wife Nancy, their son Kevin and Kevin's wife Robin are now going through. For you see last Thursday morning Kevin called Ovide and told him that his wife Robin, while driving their car, with their three sons, 12,10 and 5 in it, lost control of the car for a moment, crossed into the oncoming lane and had been involved in a head on collision. That collision resulted in the death of the 12 year old, caused internal bleeding in the five year old, brain bleeding and swelling in the 10 year old who, as of now is still in a comma. It also resulted in Robin being seriously injured and may in all probability remain in an immobilized state in a hallow, for the next ninety days.

Kerry's getting elected would seem minor to them.

There is but one place, we who are Saved, can turn to when things get that bad, the Word of God and His word. For no matter how bleak things appear and are, the words we find in God's Holy Bible can only bring comfort to hurting Christians. It will be nothing but words, pretty words at times, but only words to the unsaved. But to those of us who are truly Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, it brings an inner peace that can neither be duplicated or for that matter explained to any who are not Saved.

Today, we are going to continue our study of the Gospel according to Luke. As yo read it, you'll find no commentary, an occasional note on definitions or to further reference, but no commentary. The reason is simple, after reading about Ovide and his family, you should be both in prayer for them and feeling a bit of their pain, reading God's word will speak to yr heart in such a manner as to help you understand that He will get Ovide and his family through this. Oh yes they will cry, they will miss their twelve year old, they will remember it for a long, long time, and they will, in the years to come, dwell upon it an cry about it, but, God, God's Word and God's word will get them through it.

It will not be commentary that get's them through it nor give them that deep inside feeling of "It's OK.", it is Scripture, God's Holy and perfect Word, the words written in the Holy Bible.

Let us read Luke Chapter Eleven, let us see and understadn thow this God is that we have given our lives to, lest us come to know our Master a bit beter and let us let our Masters words bring us comfort and joy. Not joy as the world knows joy, but the joy that only comes through knowing that God is not only in command, but that we are His, not just the work of His hands, but His adopted sons and daughters, joint heirs of all things with the Lord Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God yet, God Himself, coequal with the God the Father and God the Holy Ghost.

Luke Chapter Eleven

1 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said unto Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples."

2 And Jesus said unto them, When ye pray, say;

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him'? 7 And he from within shall answer and say, 'Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.'

8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity(refusing to leave, continued knocking and asking/demanding/begging for the bread,) he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? Well, 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him?

14 And He was casting out a devil, and it was dumb (the person who Jesus was casting the devil out of). And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. 15 But some of them said, "He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils." 16 And others, tempting (trying to ridicule or antagonize) Him, sought of Him a sign from heaven.

17 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. 18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. 19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. 20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: 22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. 23 He that is not with Me is against Me: and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth.

24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. 25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. 26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

27 And it came to pass, as He spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto Him, "Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked." 28 But He said, Yea, but rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

29 And when the people were gathered thick together, He began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. 30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. 32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. 34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single (focused only on serving God), thy whole body also is full of Light; but when thine eye is evil (focused on trying to serve God while at the same time trying to not offend anyone with His word), thy body also is full of darkness. 35 Take heed therefore that the light (the one you serve, the one you have true allegiance to) which is in thee be not darkness. (See Matthew 6:24 and Luke 16:3) 36 If thy whole body therefore be full of Light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of Light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

37 And as He spake, a certain Pharisee besought Him to dine with him: and He went in, and sat down to meat. 38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled (wondered, thought about) that He had not first washed before dinner. 39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. 40 Ye fools, did not He (God, see Genesis 1:26) that made that which is without (the outside of the body) make that which is within (the inside of the body) also?

41 But rather give alms (thanks) of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you. (See Acts 10:9-16)

42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

45 Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto Him, "Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also." 46 And Jesus said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers. 47 Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. 48 Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres.

49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: 50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; 51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge Him vehemently, and to provoke Him to speak of many things: 54 Laying wait for Him, and seeking to catch something out of His mouth, that they might accuse Him. (Luke 11:1-54 ACP/KJV)

As times get difficult and worse, as we come to times where even that which has happened to my friend Ovide, are seemingly pale in comparison, think of what God has told us just in this one chapter of Luke.

"Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil." Our Father is in heaven, His kingdom will one day come, He can and will forgive our sins if we are His, He can keep us from being tempted beyond our ability to endure and He will rescue us from the evil of this world.

"And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." We don't need to beg, to offer up sacrifices, to paint the church and give up our last farthing to be part of God's family, we have but to knock, too seek, to invite Him honestly into our hearts. To give ourselves up wholly and honestly to Him, asking for forgiveness and to be His. And He will receive us, not a bond servants, but as kin.

"He that is not with Me is against Me: and he that gathereth not with Me scattereth." Oh the peace we receive from knowing that there is but one way to God and that is by being with Jesus. No hard choices to make, no troubling about which denomination or religion or cult to belong to, just the simple fact that when we are His, we are with Him and therefore we are with God the Father and God the Holy Ghost as well. Praise God, for I am His!

"And it came to pass, as He spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto Him, "Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked." 28 But He said, Yea, but rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it." Oh the peace of knowing that we, who have put our faith and trust one hundred percent in the Lord Jesus, we who are truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, are more blessed than His very own earthly mother, Mary.

Throughout the rest of Luke From 37 and on, we see that our Big Brother, the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus is capable of putting anyone and everyone in his or her place. That He is indeed no respecter of persons, He will never put a president, a king, a judge, doctor or lawyer ahead of us, His humble car washers, wrench turners, nail drivers, or street cleaners. He will never let us languish on the side lines while He honors the religious leaders at the expense of the blind, the childish, the dumb, crippled or imprisoned. For He will exalt and protect us, His slaves, over the kings of this world, the leaders of this world, the highly respected and high earners of this world who serve the forces of darkness.

And He give us the peace to know that we don't have to buy our way in with gold, or silver, titanium, aluminum or copper. No jewels, or tribute is required, only:

"33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. (See Matthew 6:24 and Luke 16:3) 36 If thy whole body therefore be full of Light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of Light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light."

All we have to do to belong to Jesus is focus on Him and Him only. Not try to make man happy by looking for ways to justify sin, but by simply and honestly serving Jesus. Does that in itself not give you great and everlasting internal peace? Does not that make you worry less about who wins elections. Does not that give you rest from your concerns about the sins of this world. Does it not make you a little less worried about having the likes of barney Frank, Olympia Snowe, Susan Colllins and Ted Kennedy inseats of power?

Oh Lord God, Creator of all things in heaven and in and on earth, we give You thanks and praise for You are our Lord and God. You are the one who owns us and takes our pain and suffering away, oh how we ask You to comfort Ovide and his, to comfort all of us who are suffering in and at the hands of this world. Thank You Lord for giving us men who were willing to die for Your sake and for ours, bringing us Your word and You in a little black book we call the Holy Bible. Thank You Lord and help and guide us this day to be Yours and to do that which is right in Your sight. Amen.

May the Lord understand the importance of Mac and Cecily to this ministry. Lord I need them both healthy and able to continue to hold up their ends. Lord this cancer of Mac's is starting to get in the way, this ministry needs him whole, just a thought Lord, is all it will take, just a thought on Your part.

There is a young man, a veteran who suffers from some kind of chemical weapon exposure, in a Veterans hospital in Colorado, he is young, and he is saved, yet his wife just abandoned him. Please pray for him, Lord, help him and deal with her and those who hurt him, we ask this of the Father in Your name Lord Jesus, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with and bless you all, amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush, Sean and Michael have, they, Rush, Sean and Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
