Wednesday November 3rd,
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. 7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, 'Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?' 8 And he answering said unto him; "Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: 9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.' The owner of the vineyard is God the father, the dresser or gardener, is Jesus, the fig tree is a wishy washy Christian. God th Father tells Jesus to dig up the wishy washy Christian and to cast him into the lake of fire, but Jesus says, "let me try a little longer to open his eyes and his heart, and if by the time he dies, he still is wishy washy, then we will cast him into the lake of fire.
10 And He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. 11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. 12 And when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. 13 And He laid His hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. That bent over woman is us, we are wracked with sin, we are filthy sinners, bent over in our slavery and servitude to sin and satan. But, Jesus calls us, and if we go to Him, He cleanses us and we are clean, upright and His.
14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people; "There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day." 15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? 16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? Ah, the ruler of the synagogue, do you know who that is? He is none other than the leaders of the liberal churches, the cults the Jews and Muslims. The ruler of the synagogue is none other than all those who put rules, traditions and customs ahead of the teachings of Christ. But, Jesus tells us, He warns of such men, yelling that they are hypocrites, He reasons with us, He tells us that they are liar, hypocrites, workers of sin and iniquity, and if we will put aside our fears and go to Him when He calls, He sill loose us from satan's grasp and let us stand up free and clean.
17 And when He had said these things, all His adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him. And for those who refuse to harken unto the word of the Lord, will be sorry, the will suffer eternally. And all those who do harken unto the word of the Lord will rejoice in everlasting joy.
18 Then said He, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? 19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it. Over the years, what started with 12 men, one of which became a traitor, has grown to billions. True Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christianity, has grown and grown and grown over the years, millions upon millions have died as martyrs so that others could and would hear and harken unto the Word of God. Slowly but surely, just as a tree grows, has true Christianity grown.
20 And again He said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? 21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened. There are many places in the world where Christians can not meet in public, they have to meet in cellars or fields in the middle of the night, but, just as leaven grows and grows and grows, so does faith in Jesus. Look at the Sudan, at China, at those nations under the rule of islam. While Christians in those countries risk their lives to worship Jesus, true faith in the Lord grows and grows and grows.
22 And He went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. 23 Then said one unto Him, "Lord, are there few that be saved?" And He said unto them; 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open unto us;' and He shall answer and say unto you, 'I know you not whence ye are:' And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: work to be saved now, for once you die and see Jesus face to face, it is too late, for at that time, all will bend the knee and acknowledge that He is the Son of God, but, for those who had not done it while alive, it will be too late. Do you have unsaved friends and kin? The best thing you can do for them, the best show of your love for them, is to teach them about salvation through the Blood of Christ.
26 Then shall ye begin to say, 'We have eaten and drunk in Thy presence, and Thou hast taught in our streets.' 27 But He shall say, 'I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from Me, all ye workers of iniquity.' 28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out! Every man woman and child in Europe and the Americas, Japan and most of the rest of the world, has eaten and drunken with the Lord, for they have heard of Him they have had the opportunity to hear Him preached, yet, the vast majority have turned their backs on Him and they will suffer for it. Suffer through all eternity. I want to add something here.
I want to say something, I do not know how any that call themselves Christians can live through the week, in ths country, without the fellowship of other Christians, at least once a week. Cecily and I searched and prayed for years, looking for and in search of a solid Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian family. How is it that I, who spends hours each week in the word of God and in prayer, can not live without Christian fellowship, yet so many can?
29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. 30 And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last. Here Jesus is specifically addressing the unrepentant jew, the jew who stands on tradition and custom at the expense of salvation. The folks of the east and the west, the north and the south, are the non jews who truly repent, and go to the Lord on bended knee saying "Lord, I use my free will that Thou has given me to be Thy Bond Servant, please accept me."
31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto Him, "Get Thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill Thee." 32 And He said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. 33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem. Now, this is once again Jesus telling the agents of satan that he, satan, will do nothing till Jesus says it is OK. That nothing is going to take place till what Jesus had spoken thought the prophets had happened. Satan and his minions would have love to kill Jesus outside of Jerusalem they would have loved to do it by stoning Him or beheading Him, but Jesus said. No, it will happen where and how it has been prophesied!
34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! 35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see Me, until the time come when ye shall say, 'Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord.' How often Jesus wanted the jews to trust Him as a brood of chicks trust their mother, how He would love to see us today love and trust him as much as a chick does a hen, but, alas, most would rather not. (Luke 13:1-35 ACP/KJV)
Last night, we in the United States elected a President, we choose George W. Bush for another four years, but does that mean that the forces of evil will not try to steal the election and give it by use of their lawyers, to satan's minion Kerry? No, it doesn't. Can the forces of good overcome the Kerry forces? I don't know, God knows, but I don't. But this I do know, what ever happens will be by the will of God, not satan, not his minion Kerry, not Kerry's bond servants Barney Frank, Tom Allen, John Baldacci, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. What ever happens will be because God has willed it, God has ordained it, and we, especially those of us that read, understand and obey God's Word and His word, should thank God and Praise Him for whatever happens.
Lord, we thank You, praise You and ask Your blessings upon us and our work to bring others to Your truths.
May the Lord understand the importance of Mac and Cecily to this ministry. Lord I need them both healthy and able to continue to hold up their ends. Lord this cancer of Mac's is starting to get in the way, this ministry needs him whole, just a thought Lord, is all it will take, just a thought on Your part.
There is a young man, a veteran who suffers from some kind of chemical weapon exposure, in a Veterans hospital in Colorado, he is young, and he is saved, yet his wife just abandoned him. Please pray for him, Lord, help him and deal with her and those who hurt him, we ask this of the Father in Your name Lord Jesus, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with and bless you all, amen.
The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.
The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."
Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
