From this mornings news:
"MOSUL, Iraq - Iraqi teenagers dragged the bloody bodies of two American soldiers from a wrecked vehicle and pummeled them with concrete blocks Sunday, ... About a dozen swarming teenagers dragged the soldiers' bodies out of the wreckage and beat them with concrete blocks, the witnesses said. 'They lifted a block and hit them with it on the face,' Younis Mahmoud, 19, said. ... Television video showed the soldiers' bodies splayed on the ground as U.S. troops secured the area. One victim's foot appeared to have been severed." From: Yahoo news MARIAM FAM, Associated Press Writer
In a few days we will all be sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner surrounded by family and friends. We will laugh and joke, say Grace, and after dinner and desert while the women folk do the dishes, we men will retire to the living room and watch a football game or two or three. It won't be like that for the families of those two young men. No, there dad's will try to be strong and their moms will cry like babies, babies who have not been feed in two days. Not exactly a sobbing wailing cry, but one of utter frustration and giving up. One that only those who have lost children and God know. Cecily and I know this cry, we cried it throughout the summer of 1993. Our son Andrew was 18 then, he would now be 28, just about the ages of those young men pictured above.
What the parents and families of those young men are going through is terrible, but, it is not as bad as other things that have happened. It isn't as bad as the President of the Untied States denying the deity of Jesus Christ. For while the President was in England, a reporter asked him if he, as a Christian, and the muslims worshiped the same God, he said yes. George is not stupid, he knows that the islam considers Jesus nothing more than a prophet, a prophet minor to mohammad. By that simple 'yes' the president showed himself to be unsaved, for no true Christian could or would deny the deity of Christ for a few political points.
But, even the actions of the president are not as bad as the way Democrats will use the death of these fine young men to further their own political goals to undermine the authority of President Bush. The likes of Kennedy, Biden, Kerry, all of the contenders for the democratic nod on primary day, the entire US Senates Democratic members less Zell Miller, Barney Frank and his fellow communist in the House will all use the deaths of these boys as nothing more than fodder for their political undercutting of our Republic.
But even they are not the worst. The worst, by far, are those who sell out these boys, the lives of our military, Christ, our nation, and it's Republican principals for a few government handouts. And unfortunately they are the self same men and women that fought and won World War Two. I will not lump the minorities that vote 90+% for the communist US haters in the political arena, for they have never, as a group, ever done anything to further the goals and safety of this nation. But, those who fought World War Two and Korea should and do know better, but, they through their votes have done more damage to this nation than all of the corrupt politicians combined. For not one of those corrupt politicians or members of the news media could have gotten past go without the support of those willing to undermine this nation for a few food stamps and other government handouts.
I know the men of the 101st, as I know those of the 82nd, and the Marines. I know that while the politicians, the media and others make the deaths of these boys nothing more than political fodder, they will now redouble their efforts. I do not envy those who are responsible for what is pictured above, in any way shape or form. While the enemy has faced the overwhelming fire power of the US, they will now face the overwhelming determination of those men of the 101st, the 82nd, US Marines and the others of our Military who will not let the picture above leave their minds. Oh they will be angry for a while, but then they will get resolute, every bit as resolute as those who fought in World War Two. But unlike the World War Two veteran, they will not use this for political advantage, they will use it to win.
Unlike the president who doesn't seem to know the evil we are fighting, these boys, under the leadership of men like Lt. Gen. William Boykin, do. Unlike the leftist US haters in the media and political arena who serve the same god as those who attacked the bodies of these boys, our troops more and more are coming to know the Lord Jesus and turn their hearts to Him.
My prayers go out to the families of these two fine young men, and it will put a damper on our thanksgiving, for with each of our military coming home in a flag dropped casket, I can not help but remember Andrew. For Andrews goal was to graduate college and join the USMC as an officer. Andrew would now be serving his sixth year.
To the dads and families of those men and all of the others who have died in this war, I would say: You have joined a very exclusive club, a club that only those who have buried children can belong to, it is a club that all of us would prefer not to be members of. The president of our club, is one who like us, also lost a child to death, God the Father. And like all clubs, any and all members can go to the President of the club and aks for His help.
You fathers who have lost a child fighting in this war, have another thing in common with God the Father, for as your child died fighting to free people, the Son fo God, Christ Jesus died so that all could be free who simply believed on Him.
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth forever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill Me, because My word hath no place in you. (John 8:34-37 ACP/KJV)
My heart goes out to those families who will this Thanksgiving wonder what they have to be thankful about. But my heart goes even more to the President who denied Jesus, to the men and women who make up the body politic and the media who have turned their hearts to the god of islam. But mostly to those brave men and women who fought and won Word War Two only to sell their souls, their freedom and the futures of their children and grandchildren out for a handful of food stamps and other goodies given to them by corrupt and degenerate politicians.
Lord let us never forget that peace comes only through You, and Lord please help those families to find and rely on You. Amen.
Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.
The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.
The Lord be with and bless you all and may you all keep this very important point in mind. It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.
Lord I would also ask You to be with my friend Mac, and for the salvation of Michael Savage and Rush Limbaugh. Amen.
All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
