My, how I want to go home.

Well, here I am in Maine, winter is starting, it is getting cold and I'm in the midst of building an enclosed porch on the front of the house. By the way, the front is the north side of the house. Brrrrrr. Being the north side also means it gets the sun last and for the shortest period of time. Oh there was a time when I could knock out a 10'X8' enclosed porch in a day and a half all by myself, but those days are long gone. These days, it takes me close to a day just to cut out the lumber. Took me a day to do the deck, but thank God that part is done, now over the next few days, I'll put up the walls and the roof.

Forty years ago when I was twenty, it took a day and a half, now a days it will take me the better part of a week, maybe more. That said, can you see why I said "My, how I want to go home?"

Let's look at the Biblical description the Lord put in His book of me.

In the day when the keepers of the house arms tremble, And the strong men legs bow down; When the grinders teeth cease because they are few, And those that look through the windows eyes grow dim; When the doors are shut in the streets, And the sound of grinding is low; When one rises up at the sound of a bird have trouble sleeping through the night, And all the daughters of music are brought low have trouble singing for lack of breath and the use of the full octave of notes;

Also they are afraid of height fear of falling, And of terrors in the way fear of being out unarmed for fear of criminals that prey on the elderly; When the almond tree blossoms hair turns white, The grasshopper is a burden walking is shaky, feet hurt, legs hurt, knees hurt, And desire fails well, less desire for sex. (Ecclesiastics 12:3-6 NKJV)

So, there you have it, old age according to the son of King David, Solomon. And tonight, after working out in the cold with the wind and all, I feel every bit the description good ole King Sol gave. But, look what we have to look forward to. Keep in mind, this is not our home, earth is only a place we are sojourning at.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:

for the former things are passed away." And He that sat upon the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said unto me, "Write: for these words are true and faithful." And He said unto me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be His God, and he shall be My son."

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." (Revelation 21 3-8 ACP/KJV)

Here I have aches and pains, trials and tribulations, emotional suffering and turmoil to put up with. But, at home with the Lord, not only will I be His son, but there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain:

Here I have thieves, crooks, Muslims and Roman Catholics to put up with, but at home with the Lord there will be no fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, for they shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

For I have been born twice and will therefore die only once, but those who are born only once, will die twice. So, in the words of my old and dear Brother in the Lord, John the Apostle; "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

The Lord be with you all, amen.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
