God loves the black sheep

Over the years I have come to realize that the fundamental Christian churches are full of family black sheep. The more liberal churches seem to have less family black sheep and more just plain mostly good folk. I often wondered about that, I wondered why the guy who never did anything wrong, wrong in the eyes of secular society I mean, most often chooses a liberal main stream denomination church to attend, while his brother, who was always in trouble attends a full gospel fundamental church.

So, when in doubt, why not just go to the Author of mankind and ask Him?

Me: "Lord, how come the fundamental churches are full of black sheep?"

Jesus: "Let me answer your question by telling you about something that happened, oh back about 1,970 years ago. It was a time in which I walked the earth as a man, a man called Y'shua."

One of the Pharisees desired that I would eat with him. So I went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat. And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that I sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at my feet behind me weeping, and began to wash my feet with her tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed my feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

Now when the Pharisee which had bidden Me saw it, he spake within himself, saying, 'This Y'shua, if He were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth Him: for she is a sinner.'

And I answering said unto him, 'Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee.' And he saith, 'Master, say on.'

And I said to him, 'Simon there was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?'

Simon answered and said, 'I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most.'

And I said unto him, 'Thou hast rightly judged.'

Turning to the woman, I continued by saying unto Simon, 'Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest Me no water for My feet: but she hath washed My feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

Thou gavest Me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss My feet. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed My feet with ointment.

Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.'

And I said unto her, 'Thy sins are forgiven.'

Does that answer your question? You can read the record of the entire episode in Matthew chapter seven."

So, the reason the fundamental churches are so full of black sheep is because, like all of us who are in fact the black sheep of the family, we have so much to thank God for that we have to be where His word is preached. You see, those of us who know we were serious sinners have a tendency to want to serve the Lord day and night, night and day. And we know that the only way we can serve Him is to understand Him and to do that we need fundamental churches where what God said is preached, not what He meant to say.

Are you like the woman who washed the Lord's feet with her hair, or are you one of those who thinks they have led a good life and have little to be forgiven for? If you think of yourself as a good man, living a good life, because you have abided by the rules of secular society, perhaps you should ponder this verse spoken by Jesus.

And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou Me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. (Mark 10:18) Are you God? Then why do you consider yourself to be good? Why don't you give the Lord a real present for His birthday this year? Why don't you face up to the fact that you are every bit as bad as me and the woman who washed the Lord's feet. When that fact finally sinks in, then find a solid Bible preaching fundamental church and start taking yourself and your family to it. Don't just attend on Sundays, get involved, go to prayer meeting on Wednesday, and work to make the pastor's life a little easier.

The Lord be with and bless you all, amen.

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush and Michael have, they, Rush, Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
