No Jesus, No Peace Know Jesus, Know Peace

No - Jesus, No - Peace

Know Jesus, Know Peace

Friday December 24th, 2004

Here it is CHRISTmas Eve. The night CHRIST was born in a stable behind a common Inn. What a humble beginning for the Prince of Peace.

Away in a Manger

Away in a manger,
No crib for His bed
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head

The stars in the bright sky
Looked down where He lay
The little Lord Jesus
Asleep on the hay

The cattle are lowing
The poor Baby wakes
But little Lord Jesus
No crying He makes

I love Thee, Lord Jesus
Look down from the sky
And stay by my side,
'Til morning is nigh.

Be near me, Lord Jesus,
I ask Thee to stay
Close by me forever
And love me I pray

Bless all the dear children
In Thy tender care
And take us to heaven
To live with Thee there

Sing the last verse and ask yourself, do I really know JESUS? Do I fully and wholly accept HIM into my heart as my one true LORD and SAVIOR? Do I want to dwell in HIS house or do I wish the alternative, a life in hell?

Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. (KJV)

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. (KJV)

Revelation 21: 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (KJV)

Luke 21: 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise. (KJV)

How much peace do you visualize in Revelation? How much peace is there in the words of CHRIST to the sinner hanging with HIM on the cross? Isn't it great to know that with HIS birth HE has given us the promise to "take us to heaven?" The promise that we will be with HIM in heaven one day. However, it is not a free trip. We have to open our hearts and accept CHRIST into it as the one true LORD. There can be no other god dwelling there within us but HIM.

As you look around the malls and shopping centers at this time of year it is easy to see many who seem to have placed money into the forefront of their lives. Have you and your spouse stopped and looked at the priority you have placed on shopping trips this year? Yes, it is more blessed to give than to receive, but are the gifts truly from your heart or are they simply something to be placed under the tree? What if God's gift to us, His SON was not from His heart, but was only one of many under the tree?

How difficult is it to receive the Peace of CHRIST? To be saved into HIS Kingdom?

Acts 16: 29-31

29: Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30: And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31: And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus CHRIST, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

See if it had not been for that birth in the stable that night over 2000 years ago, there would be no peace. But since God brought His SON to us that lonesome night we know that we can have peace through HIM. Amen

I would like to ask for prayers for our nephews Will and Joshua. The phone rang at about 11:30 last night (Dec 23rd) and it was my sister-in-law. Will is her son and was in a car accident on I-65 returning from Louisville. I do not know many of the particular circumstances, but he was not hurt although his Explorer is probably totaled. His brother, Joshua, was heading to pick him up when she called. Please keep this family in prayer. They have had some rough times over the past few years.

Now from a very snowy and cold Kentucky, I would like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry CHRISTmas.

What is CHRISTmas all about?

Who is CHRISTmas for?

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (training in love and fear of God and His teachings and ways.). (Proverbs 22:6 ACP/KJV)

May the Lord understand the importance of Mac, Cecily, Steve, and Rev. Jim Marstaller to this ministry. Lord I need them both healthy and able to continue to hold up their ends. Lord this cancer of Mac's is starting to get in the way, this ministry needs him whole, just a thought Lord, is all it will take, just a thought on Your part.

There is a young man, a veteran who suffers from some kind of chemical weapon exposure, in a Veterans hospital in Colorado, he is young, and he is Saved, yet his wife just abandoned him. Please pray for him, Lord, help him and deal with her and those who hurt him, we ask this of the Father in Your name Lord Jesus, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with and bless you all, amen.

The difference between a true preacher and a false preacher comes down to this. The true preacher uses God's word to convict of sin, the false preacher twist God's word to justify sin. The Lord our God, Christ Jesus be with you always, amen.

The Lord our God, Christ Jesus, be with you all and please keep your pastor and me in your prayers. Amen. My prayer daily is "Lord please bless those tenfold who bless me."

Pray for my friend Mac, pray for Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage. While the Lord does not need the platforms and audiences that Rush, Sean and Michael have, they, Rush, Sean and Michael and their audiences need the Lord.

Pray for the President, pray for Attorney General John Ashcroft, pray for me, pray for all those who open their mouths or take pen in hand in an effort to sway public opinion.

The Lord God of the Universe, Messiah Y'shua be with you all, amen.

It is better to be a horse fly in the stables of the Lord Jesus than the CEO of hell.

All Scripture quoted, in both sermons and daily thoughts, except when done by a guest, is from the ACP/authorized 1611 King James Version. The words in red are those quotes of God the Son, the Lord Jesus and the words in purple are those qoutes spoken directly by God the Father and the words in this sickly greenish color are of satan. But all of the Bible is spoken by God and should be viewed as God's handbook for us to run our lives by 2 Timothy 3:16.
