Friday January 2nd, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter One ACP/KJV* But Lord if You love us, why don't you... More often than I care to remember, I hear some saying, "If God so loves us, why doesn't he send a cure for AIDS?" or "If God so loves us, why didn't he send a cure cancer, heart problems, famine, etc. etc. etc." Well, how do we know He hasn't? How do we know that when God sent the person who had the cure for any of those diseases above, his mother didn't just take him to a planned parenthood abortion mill and end his little life before he ever had a chance to take his first breath outside of her womb? We hear lots of reasons why a woman should be allowed to kill the baby sleeping peacefully within her womb, one such reason is that "she is too young and just a baby herself." Or, "she is single and would have no way to care for her baby." Today, let's take a minute and read Matthew 1:18-21. ...
Monday January 5th, 2003 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Two ACP/KJV* The Gospel according to who? I'm not sure how many times I have mentioned this, but, just to be on the safe side, I am going to say it again: "Every man, woman, and child is responsible for their own salvation. My responsibility as a preacher, is to preach the Word of God and answer your questions as best I can with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit. But, your salvation is your responsibility". For the lazy, that responsibility just got a lot harder. For years now we have had the Gospel according to the Hallmark card company. More recently we have had the Gospel according to Peter Jennings and his minions at ABC. Now, we have the Gospel according to US News and World Report. ...
Tuesday January 6th, 2003 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Three ACP/KJV* An open letter to the President of the United States Dear President Bush, Have you ever studied Matthew chapter three? I don't mean just read it, but studied it, really studied it, trying to get ever last bit of wisdom out of it? No? Well my little brother in the Lord you are in good company. For the vast majority of those who profess to belong to Christ, have likewise never really sought the true and full meaning of any of God's word. So what say you, I and any others who care to read along get into the real meat of Matthew chapter three this morning? Ready? Ok, let's do it. Let's do it with the same level of concentration you use when Secretary Rumsfeld is building his case for raising the threat level...
Thursday January 8th, 2003 God, husbands, wives, patience. I really wanted to do Matthew chapter four today, but instead, the Lord has impressed upon my heart the importance of doing another thought on the relationships of husband and wife. Lord, help me to get this right, amen. Which of you out there, when he hits his finger with a hammer, slams it in a door, or gets a splinter, amputates that finger? Which of you when you get dust, dirt or even a piece of metal in your eye, goes to the 'doctor' at planned parenthood and says, "take this troublesome eye of mine out."? ...
Friday January 9th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Four ACP/KJV* The best and most valuable of lessons. There are no lessons, we can learn, that are better than those we learn in and through the Word of God. We, in the United States and throughout the world, are on a cliff, it is a cliff hanging over a valley, a valley which thousands of feet below is lined with rocks and has a raging torrent running through it. While I am not a prophet, nor am I the son of a prophet, one does not need to be a prophet to be able to read God's Book the Holy Bible, and see that we are living in the times that parallel those spoken of by God's Old Testament prophets. Times in which the Lord God spoke to Israel and Judah through His prophets, warning them that unless they repented and turned back to Him, He was going to bring destruction down upon them beyond anything they could even begin to imagine. Many of you seem to think that President Bush is doing a good job in keeping terrorism off our shores. And I don't disagree that there is none of those seeking to replace him that could do even as good a job, never mind a better job. But,...
Monday January 12th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Five ACP/KJV* Are you meek, merciful, a peacemaker and pure of heart? Take a moment to look within your very heart, and then ask yourself these questions: Am I poor of spirit and seeking the kingdom of heaven? Do I mourn and seek God's comfort? Am I meek and do I seek to inherit the earth? Do I hunger and thirst for righteous? Am I merciful, seeking mercy? Am I so pure of heart that I look forward to seeing God's face? Am I a peace maker, one willing to suffer pain and indignation for the Lord? Am I the Lord's salt? Am I a light to this world for Him? Do I understand that Jesus came not to destroy the law and prophets, but to fulfill every last prophecy and requirement for the first coming of the Messiah, and that every other thing in the Bible is still 100% intact and in effect? Do I understand that to twist Scripture is to assure oneself of eternal damnation? ...
Wednesday January 14th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Six ACP/KJV* Are you using a check to tithe? Are you spending more time at Freerepublic than you are at ACP? As many of you know, I love asking questions. I guess that comes from being a somewhat unruly kid, a detective and then a newspaper publisher, for, heaven knows I do love asking questions. So, let's start today with some questions. Let's start by asking a simple question, are you using cash to tithe? If not, why? Why aren't you using cash? ...
Friday December 16th, 2003 So, what do you think about death? Today we are going to visit the Apostles Paul's letter to the Philippians, well not the whole letter, but a chapter one. In chapter one, Paul talks about two things we will look at today. He talks about how we should react to the blasphemy of ABC, the liberal churches, the Jews, Roman Catholics, Peter Jennings and US News and World Review. Paul also addresses the issue of Christians and death, another issue that we need to discuss. So, let us start. Most of us, including myself, have been most upset with the blasphemy preached by ABC, the...
Monday January 19th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Seven ACP/KJV* Judge not? How often we hear Matthew Chapter Seven twisted to serve the world of satan instead of being a guiding light for us who are Saved. The homosexuals tell us to not be so judgmental, the leftists in the pulpit tell us to be more tolerant and to heed the warning of Christ to not judge people for those who judge are hypocrites. While we are going to look at all of Matthew Chapter Seven today, we are only going to discuss how the entire chapter deals with judging and how and by what standards you are to use to judge. ...
Tuesday January 20th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Eight ACP/KJV* Where did Jesus live? Today's study is Matthew Chapter Eight. Before we go to Matthew Eight, let's think about the Lord and His life here on earth. Let's think back to all we know about how the Lord lived while He, God, walked the earth in the form of a man named Jesus. Did He have mansion? Did He have servants to wash His feet? Did He have air conditioning, central heat, a microwave oven, and a two car garage? How about color TV's? One in each room perhaps? Now, let's read Matthew Chapter Eight...
Wednesday January 21st, 2004 Just a thought about the United States and Maine today. I'm not going to go onto Matthew Nine today, instead I would like you to think about the State of the Union speech(s) last night. All of us had the chance to hear the President, those of us living in Maine had the opportunity to listen to Governor John Elias Baldacci. I choose to listen to neither. But, for two very different reasons. I choose not to listen to President Bush for two reasons. First because I have already decided that I would vote for his re-election. While I voted for Pat Buchanan in 2000...
Thursday January 22nd, 2004 Three more reasons why you must vote for President Bush. This is probably going to be one of the shortest thoughts I have ever done, but, if you follow the links, it will be one of the longest you have been involved in to date. Why you must vote:
If you don't vote, this man, John Kerry may be elected
Click the picture If you don't vote, this man, Wesley Clark may be elected. ...
Friday January 23nd, 2004 Tithing! Today we are going to discuss tithing, the practice of giving back to the Lord a bit of what the Lord has given to you. Let us start with Scripture. ¶ But this I say, he which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. ... Do you know what that means? It means that you should immediately empty your savings and checking account, sell your house, car and property, dissolve your 401K, convert all you own into cash and send it to me. But not just send it, send it cheerfully, with a smile on your face and enclosed with a note promising more as soon as you sell your first born. NO, that is not what it means, ...
Monday January 26th, 2004 Pray without ceasing. In his first letter to the Thessalonians, God, through His scribe Paul, instructs them to Pray without ceasing. I, unlike Paul, am not in any position to instruct you to "Pray without ceasing." but, I would ask you to spend time each day in prayer and to add these things to your prayers. Ask the Lord to protect His missionaries, those in the USA and those outside the USA. Ask Him to give them strength and courage and to insulate them from pain. Ask Him to be with my wife and her class, to insulate all Christian teachers and their students from evil, the evil one, his minions and his ilk. To give those teachers the strength and courage to use every opportunity to speak out for the Lord by word, by deed and by...
Tuesday January 27th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Nine ACP/KJV* How powerful is satan? As we move into the seriousness of the presidential race and I hear more and more of what the democratic contenders have to say, I can not help but be amazed at the power of satan. Jesus one time referred to satan as the father of all liars. Knowing that the Lord can only tell the truth and as such, makes all who are liars sons and daughters of satan, I can not help but be amazed at not only the power of satan but the size of his family. I listen to Senator John Edwards talk about how there are two different USA's one for the rich and powerful and the other of the rest of us. Problem is, Edwards is a very rich US Senator, he is the rich and the powerful. Yet, his lie, the lie in...
Thursday January 29th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Ten ACP/KJV* We today are to nice Today we are going to be in Matthew chapter ten. In it, you will find tons of great stuff. But there are two things I would like you to think about in particular. First, let's read chapter ten and then let's go back over two points I would like you to really concentrate on. Matthew Chapter Ten 1 And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. 2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3...
Friday January 30th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Eleven ACP/KJV* My yoke is easy saith the Lord. At the beginning of the year, I told you that I was going to do the thought in such a manner that you could use them as a Bible study that night and even for the next few nights with your family. Seems I have not made it all that easy for many of you, so let me try something different for this weekend and you let me know which way you prefer. Not which way is easier for you, but which way makes it a more in-depth bible study for you and your family. Keep in mind, I can not do it both ways, I simply do not have the time each morning. Today's study is: Matthew Chapter Eleven ...
Tuesday February 3rd, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twelve ACP/KJV* Good tree, good fruit. Bad tree, bad fruit. Today we are going to delve into Matthew chapter twelve. Chapter twelve is a study of how Jesus handled the legalistics of His day. It is a chapter that holds immense relevance today as it did back then, for today it is often times that we find good churches accused, by the liberals, of being too legalistic. Today we will see that those who were, and are today, to legalistic, are those who ignore the teachings of the Bible and instead put to much importance on commentary. Remember back in Matthew 5:18, we read these words spoken by the Lord: For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Well today in chapter 12, we are going to see the importance of studying Scripture...
Wednesday February 4th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Thirteen ACP/KJV* Are you wheat or a tare? Today we are going to look into Matthew Chapter thirteen. A chapter rich in the truths about salvation. The truth about how some are called to lead hundreds to Christ while others are called to lead fewer, but all are called to lead some to the Lord. We are going to see Biblical proof that dispels the claims of Roman Catholicism and others that Mary never had any children beside Jesus, and that she died a virgin. We are going to see a picture of heaven along with a description of what happens after the end of the Revelation of Jesus as recorded by John the Apostle. So, let us get to it. Ladies and Gentlemen, Matthew Chapter Thirteen ...
Friday February 6th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Fourteen ACP/KJV* Be not afraid There are a number of ways of studying God's word the Holy Scriptures. You will find methods at the front of every Bible. There are the one year plans and the two years plans. The five year and the seven year plans. But, having read the Bible many, many times now, the best way I have found to study the Bible is to read it and put it in paragraph form. Identifying who each pronoun is referring to and then starting each pronoun that refers to God the Father, God the Son or God the Holy Ghost with a capital letter. Back four years ago I started doing just that. We have come to know it and identify it as the ACP/KJV. ...
Monday February 9th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Fiveteen ACP/KJV* What is Mel Gibson's film 'Passion'? Today, as you study Matthew chapter fifteen, I believe you will find the answers to why no Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian should recommend or use Mel Gibson's film Passion as an evangelical tool. Now, I am well aware that most if not all of the Evangelical Protestant so called and in most cases self proclaimed, 'leaders' will disagree with me. But, let me ask you this: Can a cult lead the lost to Christ? Why would a cult want to take souls from their god satan and give those souls to our God Christ Jesus? Mel Gibson is not a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian, he is a devote Roman Catholic. Roman Catholicism and Born Again Christians are not the same, they are direct opposites. I am not going to address all of the things that...
Tuesday February 10th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Sixteen ACP/KJV* So, as a Christian, why don't you... Today we are going to look at and study some of the pearls of wisdom in Matthew chapter sixteen.. We are going to ask ourselves a question, the question is, as Christians, why can't we be as straightforward as the Lord? Why do we spend so much time worrying about hurting peoples feelings? When the religious leaders of the day tried to trap Jesus, He referred to them as hypocrites, today we allow ourselves o be called hypocrites. Why? When talking to Peter, first the Lord congratulated him and then the Lord came down on him like a ton of bricks. So why is it that we allow people to walk all over the Gospels of Jesus and...
Wednesday February 11th, 2004 Horse Dung! One of the nicest things about preaching on the web and identified as a preacher for men, is that I get to be honest and say things that are on my mind. Today's title is a good example, Horse Dung. Well, while horse dung is really much more polite than that term used by secular society, it still is a term you are unlikely to hear at Sunday services. But, horse dung is the best way to describe many of your comments regarding the last two thoughts. You seem upset that I am judging the Roman Catholic church to be a cult. You're saying things like, "pastor you are to judgmental." "Pastor the Lord tells us to judge not." Etc. Horse Dung!!! I guess what really has me so upset about these ridiculous comments is that it has been only a little over three weeks since we did Matthew Seven. ...
Friday February 13th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Seventeen ACP/KJV* What thinkest thou Ah, Friday the thirteenth, and here I am in the house with a black cat and another black cat is out side trying to have one of my chickadees for breakfast. But then again what do I care about black cats and the superstitions of black Friday the thirteenth. But I do like my little back cat, which really isn't all that black, he is really black with a little white on him. Now, you are probably wondering what a black cat and Friday the thirteenth has to do with today's thought. Nothing, nothing at all. For today, instead of looking at the superstitions of Friday the thirteenth, we are gong to be studying the truths of Matthew Seventeen. For who cares about the myths of black cats and walking under...
Monday February 16th, 2004 Three questions, two answers. Today I am going to ask you three questions, I am going to answer two of them, but leave the third for you to use as a long term Bible study. Question number one: Many are lining up to see the new Mel Gibson film "Passion", why? My guess is that you want to see the movie so as to get a better understanding of what the Lord went through for your salvation. Over the years, I like most of you have seen movies after I have read the book. After reading the book and seeing the movies, like most of you, I have left the movies saying, "The book was better." So, if you want to understand what the Lord went through for you, why not go back and study it for...
Tuesday February 17th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Eighteen ACP/KJV* 490 times or else you will rue the day you didn't Yesterday we looked at the politics of today, today we are going to look at God's instructions for us to live by. In our study today, we are in Matthew chapter eighteen, in which we are going to find the Lord giving us some instructions, instructions to live by, that by obeying, we can make this earth a bit nicer. Not for all, but for those who are Saved. Matthew Chapter Eighteen
...Thursday February 19th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Nineteen ACP/KJV* The eye of a needle. Today we are going to delve into Matthew chapter nineteen. As we do, I will ask a question or two. These questions are not designed to embarrass you, only get you to think. Before we start, let me publicly thank God for not allowing me, my wife and others to be killed or maimed while riding in my truck. Yesterday I brought my truck down to have it serviced by Ovide, and what he found broken could have very easily brought the truck to a complete and immediate stop at any time and at any speed. There is a nut that holds a shaft that runs through the transmission in place..This nut is behind and inside the yoke where the transmission connects to the drive shaft. That nut had...
Friday February 20th, 2004 President Bush is in trouble? Well, according to many Christian Evangelical leader pundits, President Bush is in deep trouble with Christians. According to a report widely circulated on Drudge, WorldNetDaily and other conservative internet news sites, the Washington Times is reporting that the President may be in serious trouble with Christians. Except: ...
Tuesday February 24th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twenty ACP/KJV* Lying there in his own blood, he said "Yes Lord". Like most of you, I too know men and women, boys and girls who have been true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians since they were 6,7,8,9 or 10 years old. And like some of you, I know men and women who have come to Christ and become true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians in their later years, some even on the verge of death. For some who have worked for the Lord day in and day out for their entire lives, the following verses, at times, seem a tad unfair. But for those with a lifetime of sin behind them who came to be Saved in their later years, theses same words are a true God send. For one of the things that the Lord Jesus, the Christ, God, is telling us, is that even those who come while laying in their own blood. Those with one foot in the grave and their life blood slowly yet insistently spilling onto and being absorbed by the ground, are equal in His eyes. ...
Monday March 1st, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twenty-one ACP/KJV* It is better to be a harlot or tax collector than a Scripture denying preacher. Today we are going to look at Matthew chapter twenty one. Chapter twenty one is the beginning chapter of the greatest study on the fickleness of mankind. Today in 21 we will see the people greeting the Lord as King. It won't be many chapters before theses same people are yelling Crucify Him, Crucify Him. ...
Wednesday March 3rd, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twenty-two ACP/KJV* Going to the wedding and I'm gonna be married. Yes, I am betrothed. I am, as I write this, looking forward to my up coming wedding, feast and marriage. And, like any other bride, there is nothing I wouldn't do for my dearly beloved betrothed. You see, that while I am on this earth I am a man, in the life to come, I am the bride of Christ. What about you? Are you working diligently to turn the eye of the Lord? Are you priming and primping yourself to be His? Or are you so wrapped up in the things of this world that you spend more time listening to Peter Jennings than you do the Lord God Creator of the Universe, Christ Jesus? Whose bride will you be throughout eternity,...
Friday March 5th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twenty-three ACP/KJV* woe unto you liberal Christ denying preachers But it is not just woe unto you liberal Christ denying preachers, it is woe unto you who do as they do. As I look around I see a society that is so decadent that I find it hard to imagine how it could have been any more decadent during the time of Noah. I don't see how Sodom and Gomorrah could have been worse than Massachusetts Providence town or Maine's Portland or Californica's San Francisco or New Mexico's Santa Fe. I see duly elected public servants that took an oath to uphold the law, instead trampling all over it by marrying lesbians and sodomites. I see politician after politician applauding those who break the law. In Maine the democrat governor of the state, John Elias Baldacci, through one of his flunkies, called those of us that oppose homosexual marriages "Cuckoos"...
Monday March 8th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twenty-four ACP/KJV* Take heed that no man deceive you! Today we are going to get into the meat of prophecy, Matthew chapter 24. While there is no way I can cover everything in Matthew 24, what we will focus on is the importance of what the Lord is telling us as to the signs of His coming and the warnings that you be ever vigilant not to let any man deceive you. How many times I have said over and over again that to each man, woman and child falls the individual responsibility of their own personal salvation. I am not responsible for your salvation, you are. No preacher is responsible for anyone else's salvation, only his own. Our job is simply to preach the Word of God and His word to you. But, there are many out there that lie, they deceive, they preach traditions, denominational garbage and politically correct deception instead of God's Word and His word. You must decipher for yourself ...
Thursday March 11th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twenty-five ACP/KJV* Let us today use our talents well. First let me apologize for not having put this up yesterday, but yesterday I had to take my beef from the slaughter house man and put it up to hang. This was not an easy job, thanks be to the Lord God I had the help of two younger and stronger men. I now have about 700 pounds of beef in quarters hanging up in my cellar. Today I will start cutting it up, but now that it is in the cool 38 degrees of my cellar, I can take my time in butchering it up. This will be our beef for the next three or four years. Thank You Lord. Ok, let us get started. Now, think of Matthew 23, 24 and 25 as being basically one continuos chapter. In 23 the Lord warns us of those preachers who talk a good game but are heathens deep down inside. We see them all the time, they preach good, but their lives are nothing but filth. In 24 the Lord against starts with a warning about false teachers and goes on through the time of sorrows, just before the tribulation and into the tribulation period. Today in 25 we will see the end of the tribulation period, the time when the Lord returns and separates the Saved ...
Monday March 15th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twenty-six ACP/KJV* Why grovel for life? part one As we took Matthew 23,24 and 25 as one continuous thought, so should we consider Matthew 26:1 through 27:50 as one thought as well. For as you will see, the Prince of Peace, the Lord God of Creation, the God of life, did not raise a finger to prevent His being sent back to heaven. Jesus, who healed the sick, chased out demons and devils, caused the blind to see and the lame to walk, raised the dead and fed thousands with less than a bushel of food, never raised a finger to prevent satan's minions from ending His earthly ministry and sending Him back to heaven. Yet so many of us, who call ourselves Christians, followers of Christ, fight tooth and nail to stay here and not go to heaven. Why?...
Wednesday March 17th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twenty-seven ACP/KJV* Why grovel for life? part two Two days ago we looked at Matthew 26, the chapter that discusses in detail the last days of freedom for the Lord, the last supper and His betrayal and capture. Today we will go on to His mock trial, torture, crucifixion, and burial. As we go through Matthew 27, try to focus on how horrible it was for the Lord and how, because He knew the glories life eternal in heaven, He did not raise even a finger to prevent those things that would end His earthly ministry and return Him to heaven. I am not trying to convince you not to use modern medicine to make your life comfortable here on earth, nor am I trying to convince you to end your life before it's time. What I am trying to get you to understand, as Paul so wisely stated in his letter to the Corinthians, that life in heaven is much better than life here on earth. But while we are here, we should...
Friday March 19th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Matthew Chapter Twenty-eight ACP/KJV* Fear not ye that seek Jesus. Well today we finish our study of the Gospel of God the Son , the Lord Jesus the Christ, as dictated by God the Holy Spirit to the Apostle Matthew. Over these last 75 days, we have followed the Lord from His birth to His death and now His glorious resurrection. In this last chapter, we will also see satan's, through his minion the high priest, last ditch effort to hide the Lord's resurrection and discredit the Lord's disciples. ...
Monday March 22nd, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter One ACP/KJV* Hold thy peace, and come out of him! Today, in Mark chapter one, we are going to see how absolutely blind and/or stupid they who said those things were. For as you will come to see, the very ones who blind the unsaved, know exactly who Jesus is, they know He will in His good time cast them into eternal suffering and they fear Him. Not as we who are Saved fear Him, but they are terrorized by Him, for they know what awaits them. ...
Wednesday March 24th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Two ACP/KJV* New cloth or old? One of, what some consider to be, the more difficult of the teachings of Christ, deals with the parable of old and new cloth, and old and new wine bottles. Yet, when you look at it the context of which the Lord said it, it really isn't all that difficult to see what the Lord is telling us. One of the nice things about studying the Bible by identifying the pronouns and putting the verses into paragraphs is that you start to see the context in which the Lord God Creator of the earth is talking. This new cloth/old cloth and new wine/old wine parable is a perfect example. Paul makes this parable even clearer in second Corinthians ...
Friday March 26th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Three ACP/KJV* The key to remember is that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost are all one and the same! As we go through Mark chapter three today, we will see many things, but there is something I would like to draw your attention to. And that is how those who believe had their wishes and prayers answered. That and how Jesus separates earthly/secular friends and family from true believers. Every once and a while you will see a prayer request on the top of the index, links, and daily thoughts page. I bring these important request to you because I know that most of you who come to ACP are true Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, smokey Christians indeed, but true Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians nether less. As we enter mark three, would be a good time to give you an update on some of those prayer request. Julia and Molly: Safe and sound...
Monday March 29th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Four ACP/KJV* Peace, be still, Why are ye so fearful? Today, as we go through Mark chapter four, you might notice that I have more commentary than normal. I've done this for a reason, the reason, is explained by the Lord, in verses 21 thru 25. What I have done, you too can do, probably even better than me, all you need do is try. One of the many nice things about both the Geneva Bible and the King James Bible is that they both cause you to get on your knees and beseech the Lord's help. To many of the newer so called version, attempt to make the bible so easy to understand that you need not seek the Lord's help, only rely on man's modern interpretation, and for that reason, I do not consider the others bibles, but commentary. Today, I am going to do something else I don't normally do. I am going to ask for your prayers right here in the beginning of the thought. I have something on my mind that I would like to do, only I do not have the financial or physical assets to do it. God knows what it is, I am asking you to ask the Lord to either take it out of my mind, if He doesn't want me to do it, or to explain to me how I'm going to do it, if it is of Him. Take a minute to just ask the Lord to, Help me understand. ...
Wednesday March 31st, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Five ACP/KJV* Miracle after miracle after miracle. To start today's study, we really need to incorporate the last verses of Mark chapter four. For if you were to read Mark four and five as one lesson, which you should, you would see how first the Lord explains Christianity in Mark 4, and then He backs it up with the doing of miracle after miracle after miracle to demonstrate that He in all reality is God and worthy of worship in the end of 4 and throughout five. So, let us start our study of Mark five by going back to Mark 4:35: ...
Friday April 2nd, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Six ACP/KJV* Remember "If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole"? Do you remember yesterday when we read about the woman with an issue of blood, who said: "If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole"? Well, as you will see, the things Jesus did had a way of getting around, and that makes what happened in Nazareth even more insane. But, what happened in Nazareth, what happened in Herod's court and at his party and what happened as 5,000 men and heaven alone knows how many children and women sat and ate, are no different than what happens today. Some today hear of Jesus and even when they see a miracle, such as my doctors, would rather have Jesus just leave them alone, or even worse scorn Him and me. Others today, like those...
Monday April 5th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Seven ACP/KJV* It's not dirty hands, it is a dirty heart you need to worry about. It is not the disease of AIDS that defiles a man, it is the moral corruption that started with lust in the heart that defiles him. It is not the sexually transmitted diseases that defiles a man or woman, it is the bankrupt morals, the lust of the eye, the lust of the heart, the adulteries, that caused him or her to get the disease that defiles him or her. Oh yes, the disease will ravage the body, but it is not that disease that caused the person to be defiled it was that which caused the action, the lust within the heart. How many tiems have you heard liberals tell you that Jesus is the God of love, that He would never tolerate a preacher yelling at someone or raising his voice or condemning and action? Well go back and read verses 18 and 19 again, would you tell me how that could be said in a nice not condemning manner. The lord was coming down on them like a ton of bricks. Go on and reread 20-22 again, can you not see the "let me explain it to you again" look on the Lord's face?...
Wednesday April 7th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Eight ACP/KJV* compassion on the multitude There are some very important lessons in Mark chapter eight. We will see the Lord telling the Pharisees "There shall no sign be given unto this generation." In it we will see the Lord asking "whom say ye that I am?" as well as seeing the Lord rebuking Peter "Get thee behind Me, Satan." But no lesson in the chapter is more important than the one that, for the most part, goes unnoticed in verses 1-9. For in those verses we see the compassion of the Lord towards His leaderless sheep,...
Friday April 9th, 2004 Do you believe in Easter? I am going to leave the Gospel as dictated to John Mark by God the Holy Ghost and give you a little something to think about this Easter. The following story was sent to me by Joyce Boos of Boos Realty in Harrison, Maine. ...
Monday April 12th, 2004 Edom is Esau and Esau is the muslims. Gentlemen, we are a nation at war! Yesterday afternoon I spoke to a senior intelligence officer with Maine State Militia. I was amazed that he, of all men, had not come to the realization that we are at war and that this is part of a war on Christ, Christ people and the Jews by the sons of Esau, those who are known as Edomites, the muslims. Because of this conversation, I am going to leave the Gospel as dictated to John Mark by God the Holy Ghost and spend today reminding you and instructing you. First, we as a nation are at war. While we may not think of ourselves as a Christian nation, the sons of Esau do. We can either fight this war in Iraq, Afghanistan ...
Wednesday April 14th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter nine ACP/KJV* Cut it off! God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit take a very dim view of sin. One of the worst sins one can commit is to lead others to sin, by twisting God's word for personal gain, satisfaction or even to make someone feel better. I think I'll let you all in on two little secrets this morning. First did you know that most of the Bible is written as a warning to preachers, a warning against twisting God's word? No? You didn't know that? Well now you do. For it is a fact, most of the Bible is written so as to let preachers know how and what to preach and that if they twist God's word, they are toast. Last night as I watched President Bush on televison, I could not help but notice how hostile every last member of the press corps,...
Friday April 16th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Ten ACP/KJV* Toss the baby in the air, listen to him laugh. Yup, that's right, before we go into today's thought, if you happen to have a little baby around, one three years old or under, go get him, hold on to him, lift him up, toss him into the air, catch him and toss him up again. Laugh while you're doing it and just keep tossing and catching for five or six times. Then put him down, notice how he is looking up at you, imploring you to pick him up and toss him up and catch him again? Notice the faith he has in you? Notice how he trust you? Notice how he instinctively knows that you will not drop him. That my dear brothers and sisters is how your relationship with the Lord must be. Today we are going to study Mark chapter ten, we will be focusing on the lessons of salvation taught by Jesus throughout this chapter. ...
Monday April 26th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Eleven ACP/KJV* Are we a nation of thieves? Have we become a nation of thieves? I'm sixty years old, in 1958 I got my drivers license and gas was 19 cents a gallon, today the tax alone on a gallon of gas is over 42 cents a gallon here in Maine. More in some states, less in others, but in all states the federal bite is over 22 cents a gallon. Are we becoming a nation of thieves? In 1976 the people of this nation sent James Earl Carter, a lying thief to Washington as President of these Untied States. In 1988 we tried to prove to ourselves that Republicans can be every bit as unhonorable as democrats, so we sent George Herbert Walker Bush to the oval office. In 1992, convinced Bush was not totally corrupted,, we scraped the bottom of the barrel of slime and we crowned the Clintons, just to see how fast and furious undermining...
Wednesday April 28th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Twelve ACP/KJV* Give not 5%, nor 10%, but 100%. How much of your life have you given to Jesus? As you must by now know, thanks to President Bush, liberal, left wing extremist, anti-child in the womb, anti-gun, anti-taxcut, anti-freedom Senator Arlen Specter won the Republican nomination in a very tight race in Pennsylvania. Had the President done what was right or just minded his own business, Specter would this very day be out looking for a job and every liberal left wing extremist Republican would be crying in his or her white wine, held with little pinky finger out, this morning. We in Maine would have hopes of being able to rid the nation ourselves, our state and the nation of the plague of Olympia, the queen of infanticide, Snowe and her fellow leftist Republican baby hating, pro-homosexual and lesbian marriage Senator Susan Collins. But, President Bush, putting politics ahead of Christ, giving 0% instead of 100% ...
Friday April 30th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Thirteen ACP/KJV* The signs of spring abound. Yes, even here in Maine the snow is just about gone, the ice has all but disappeared from the lakes and ponds, the ground is getting warmer, the frost less often and less severe, the buds starting to show and the summer birds starting to appear. Yes, by these signs we know that spring is here and summer can not be far behind. We can all read these signs of the seasons, we know when the snow flies and the thermometer dips that winter is coming, that when the thermometer reaches into the nineties that summer is here and that when the leaves on the trees are changing colors and falling that fall is in the wind. But what about the signs of the times? How good are you reading them? Do you keep up with the news? ...
Monday May 3rd, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Fourteen ACP/KJV* You only spank the ones you love. Would any of you doubt this statement: "Jesus loves the Apostle Peter." No of course you wouldn't. For it is obvious that the Lord God Creator of the earth loves Peter, for out of all the world, at the time, He choose Peter to be one of His twelve and as we will see, one of the three in the inner circle. Yet, as we will also see, when Peter messed up Jesus came down on him like a ton of bricks. As we go through Mark chapter fourteen today, I am going to point out to you places where the Lord made Peter's life miserable, absolutely miserable. Why? Because He loved Peter. Jesus loved Peter so much that when Peter stepped out of line, the Lord yanked on Peter's reins so as to prevent him from getting any further out of line. The United States of America is now right on 225 years old. During that time we have had 43 presidents, out of those 43, there are only two whom I would invite into my home ...
Wednesday May 5th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Fifteen ACP/KJV* No less than seven. In today's study of Mark chapter fifteen we will see no less than seven old testament prophecies fulfilled. Prophecies that, for one to be the Messiah, must fill. Prophecies that dealt with the torture and death of the Lord, absolute proofs that Jesus, Y'shua in the Hebrew, is the Christ, the Messiah. And how anyone in their right mind can ignore these facts of history is beyond me. But, most do. Some of you went to see the movie "the Passion of Christ" now that you have seen the movie, read the book. I don't understand how some have time to see movies and read commentary, even mine, but don't have time to read the Book. Let us go to the Book. ...
Friday May 7th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Mark Chapter Sixteen ACP/KJV* Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. God willing, starting this coming Monday we will be in the Gospel of Luke. Shortly thereafter we will see this written in Luke Chapter Four: And Jesus answering said unto him(the devil), It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. (Luke 4:12 ACP/KJV) Today, as we read Mark chapter sixteen, we will come back to those words spoken to satan 1,974 years ago. This is something we should well keep in mind today too. All to often, folks will step out without first going to the Lord in prayer and then they wonder why they get burnt. ...
Monday May 10th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter One ACP/KJV* And they hid them under a bushel basket. Like many folks today, there were folks back 2000 years ago that took the knowledge of the Lord and hid it. And like today, there were some back then that refused to believe what God told them, believing instead that God could only do things that they thought were possible. As we go through today's study, we are going to see Zacharias, the father of John the Baptist, a man who should have known better, doubt God. We will see folks see and know about miracles, yet, keep them to themselves. I, and I'm sure you also, know doctors who have seen miracles happen right before their eyes, yet instead of giving God the credit and glory, they instead say "well, these things happen". The President of these United States, a professing Christian, has yet to publicly...
Only Christ can get the Berg's through this. While he was brutally murdered late last week, the news and details of young Mr. Nick Bergs brutal death only came to light yesterday. Or at least only became known to the general public yesterday. Members of the Berg family, the administration, the US Military and the members of the House and Senate Armed Forces Committee's knew about Mr. Berg's death and the brutal details this last Sunday. It was eleven years ago that Mike Bemis, the York County Sheriff at the time, knocked on my door in Kennebunkport. It was ten at night and Mike was dressed in a suit with a freshly ironed shirt. Now I had known Mike for a while and headed up a committee for him, therefore I knew Mike to be an early to bed and early to rise guy, one accustomed to starting work a few minutes before the cock crew. So, seeing him dressed up at that time of night told me that Mike had gotten out of bed, gotten dressed up and driven five miles for what ever reason ...
Friday May 14th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Two ACP/KJV* If only I had a dollar... If only I had a dollar for every time someone told me that they simply don't have the time to do this that or another thing for the Lord. Today, in Luke chapter two, we are going to read about some guys who found the time. Funny thing is, they weren't even Saved at the time they found the time. Oh, they got Saved before they went back to work, but when they found the time to answer the call of the Lord, they were just bunch of unsaved heathens at work. ...
Monday May 17th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Three ACP/KJV* The Messiah had to be born before 70 AD! God promised both Abraham and David that the Messiah would be of their seed, direct heirs of both of them. God the Father made this promise to Abraham in Genesis and to David In Psalms, Kings and Samuel. How did Luke and Matthew do their research? No newspapers or video in those days, no family photo albums to go back through, so how did they do such accurate research, so accurate that Matthew could go back to Abraham and Luke back through Adam? They were given their information by the Holy Spirit, but others had to rely upon the official records kept in the Temple at Jerusalem. The official records, the only records that were kept so free of lies and deception so as to verify the Messiah, were kept in the temple in Jerusalem. That temple was ...
Wednesday May 19th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Four ACP/KJV* No prophet is accepted in his own country There is probably no tougher form of evangelism than that in which you try to reach your own immediate family, brothers, sisters, dad, mom, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc with the Gospel of Christ. There are a number of things we shall learn in Luke Chapter Four, but two of the most important are: As Jesus knew and demonstrated for us, family is very hard to preach to. And second, there comes a time when we must let them go and focus on the commission and the mission field the Lord has assigned us. I want to say this to you again, for it is good for you to understand and search for yourselves. There is not one verse in the Bible that indicates that any of Jesus's earthly blood relatives, other than His half brothers James and Jude, ever were Saved or will be in heaven. There is not one verse in the entire Bible that suggest that Jesus's earthly mother Mary is in heaven. I don't object to many of you referring to Mary as the queen of heaven I just cannot help but wonder what Scripture you base it on....
Friday May 21st, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Five ACP/KJV* How much blinder we are today. As we go through Luke Chapter Five today, we are going to see the Lord do more miracles. And we are going to see the highly educated religious and political leaders of the day scoff at them. When you sit down to think about the things Jesus did and how the vast majority not only ignored them but thought of them as being part of a circus side show, we have to admit they were pretty well blinded by satan. But I would submit to you that our world today, is even more blinded. Today we have sonagrams, X-Rays, CAT scans, and all kinds of ...
Monday May 24th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Six ACP/KJV* What is your faith built on? What is your faith built on? By that I mean, have you built your faith totally upon what Jesus did on the cross or do you have some other things built into it? The Bible refers to Jesus as being the Rock. To build your faith upon Him, is to build your faith upon a foundation of Rock, to add anything is to build upon shifting sand. Today as we go through the 6th chapter of the Gospel of Luke, Jesus has saved the best for last. So before we even start, let us go to verses 47-49 first. ...
Wednesday May 26th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Seven ACP/KJV* See, I'm human too. Today, let us skip the salad and get right into the meat and potatoes. Let us go right to the word of the Lord. Luke Chapter Seven 1 Now when Jesus had ended all His sayings in the audience of the people, He entered into Capernaum. 2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. 3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto Him the elders of the Jews, beseeching Him that He would come and heal his servant. Do you see how the centurion felt unworthy to go to the Lord in person, so he sent emissaries, emissaries that he figured would be...
Friday May 28th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Eight ACP/KJV* How blessed you are if you are Saved In His letter to the Romans, God tells us through the pen of His scribe the Apostle Paul that "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23. God goes on and through the very same scribe, tell us "And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." Ephesians 4:24 Now you might be asking yourself what that would have to do with our study of Chapter Eight of Luke. Not only is it very intricate to Luke Eight, it is likewise in our life today. We are in the midst of World War Three, I am amazed at how many do not understand that. But, those in politics and in the news media do. And it is them...
Wednesday June 2nd, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Nine ACP/KJV* Lord, who is greater, me or ...? Do you ever do that? Do you ever ask the Lord who is greater, who is the better Christian, you or some other guy? Well, if you have, don't feel bad, for so did the favorite apostle of the Lord God Creator of all things as He walked the earth in His earthly form of Jesus. Is it so bad? Is it so bad wanting to be the Lord's favorite? Wanting to be the one who does the greatest things for the Lord? Is it so bad, being competitive in the field of those working for the Lord, striving to be number one? Oh to God I pray that there were more out there in the competition. For while it is better to be a horse fly in the stables of Christ Jesus than it is to be the CEO of hell, it is better yet to be a prince in His heavenly court than a horse fly in His stables. A few years back, I decided that I wanted to write a book or two, but, being one of those with few if any new and exciting thoughts, one of those dumb preachers who just is not smart enough to know what God really meant to say in His book the Holy Bible. I decided to take the easy way out ...
Friday June 4th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Ten ACP/KJV* Man does not live by bread alone... Way back in Luke chapter four we read about the Lord facing off with satan. At that time satan tried to tempt the Lord with various things, one was hunger. For the Lord had been in the wilderness for forty days and nights without food or water and He was hungry. So, satan said to Him, "If You be the Son of God, change these stones into bread." Jesus said to satan, Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God! Now before we proceed, there are a couple of things I need say to those of you who visit Christianpatriot.com not for everyone, just you who come here regularly. Cec and I will be leaving in ten days for about a month. This year, thanks to her, I have a laptop to take with me, so I will, God willing be putting up thoughts and news. Over the years, Christianpatriot.com has become a very popular site, not only for Christians and those looking for fundamental preaching, but also hackers, porno operators, and those who sell e-mail addresses to spammers. ...
Monday June 7th, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of Luke Chapter Eleven ACP/KJV* Woe unto you, Peter Jennings, Bill Clinton and John Kerry. This past Saturday, President Ronald Reagan died. There is no better, modern day, example of hypocrisy than what you are now going to see and hear, as those hate filled leftist, who did nothing but attack President Reagan, now make nice speeches trying to link themselves to President Reagan's proven successes on the domestic and international fronts. You will, if you have not already, hear Peter Jennings tell us how he admired the President and his administration. You will hear john Kerry and his flunky Ted Kennedy tell how they worked night and day in a non trying effort to push through President Reagan's tax cuts and building up of the military. You will hear leftist members of both parties at all levels and branches and members of the press tell you how they supported the President. They are lying sacks of dung! Had it not been for the hatred filled rhetoric of the Jennings in the media and the Kennedy's Kerry's and the communist supporters in both houses of Congress, the cold war would have ended years earlier. Had it not been for the hated for the people of the Republic by the extreme leftist in the pro-abortion and pro-homosexual movements, the economic boom under president Reagan...
Wednesday June 9th, 2004 thru mid July, 2004 * This thought is a Bible Study of The Book of Revelation ACP/KJV* It is that time of the year again. Wednesday June 9th, 2004 till mid July. Once again we are off to visit a prison in Kentucky, kin and maybe an Indian or two in New Mexico and a preacher in Pennsylvania. I had thought about putting the new book up for you to look at, but, since it is not even close to being proofed, I have opted instead to put up one that is pretty much done. Ladies and Gentleman, I give you The Book of the Revelation of the Lord Jesus, the Christ, and I will be back mid July. May our Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus, bless you all, may He be with you and yours, keeping you safe and tucked under His mighty right arm. ...
Monday August 2nd, 2004 If you don't train 'em, on't blame 'em. part one.
Wednesday August 4th, 2004 If you don't train 'em, on't blame 'em. part two. So, you're sitting at dinner one night, you do all sit down to dinner together don't you? And as you tell about the events at work today, your twelve year old son announces to you that he wants to be a street evangelist for Jesus. Then your fourteen year old daughters pipes in with, "Dad, mom, do you remember that missionary family we had speaking at church several weeks ago? Well, their 16 year old son Danny and I have been writing back and forth. What I would like to do with my life is marry a missionary, have a dozen kids and be his helpmate in reaching the unsaved Indians of the South West." So, here you and your wife are sitting, your son wants to be a street evangelist and your daughter aspires to be a housewife and helpmate to a dirt poor missionary serving...
Friday August 6th, 2004 What is the November election really all about? So, just what is this upcoming November election really all about? Oh I know that it appears to be between President George Bush and ultra left wing extremist John Kerry, but is it? There is a lot more at stake than who sits in the oval office this coming November 2nd, there is more hanging in the balance than who controls the US House, Senate, and various other political offices. There is more at stake than Republicans versus Democrats. A lot more! Over the last 200 years, the greatest influences in US politics have been first the church and then the so called mainstream media. They have divided this power of greatest influence equally, the solid church having it for the first hundred plus years of our nation's existence and the mainstream media having it for the last 90 to 100 years. The fundamental churches in the country gave up their influence to the leftist leanings of the press with nary a raised voice. Once having that power of being the major influence in politics, the press worked diligently to secure its powers by making themselves almost indispensable to the politicians they embraced, owned and supported. But now there are some new players in the game for influence: the ...
Monday August 9th, 2004 Separate yourself. All too often I hear otherwise strong Christians saying "we shouldn't discriminate against anyone, regardless." They are of course referring to homosexuals and lesbians and others who are not heterosexuals as God designed us to be. To agree with them is to disagree with God Almighty. To agree with them and teach your children such sickness, is to not only disagree with God, it is to spit in His face and corrupt the soul(s) He has entrusted to you, your children and your wife. I am not going to bore you with all that God has told us about being separate and about homosexuality and other deviant sexual behavior, ...
Wednesday August 11th, 2004 If it were not so true and prophetic, it would be funny. Two days ago, the lead story for the Monday update on Christian-news-in-maine.com was "No Free Speech in Preaching, Swedish pastor sentenced to jail for blasting homosexuality." A Swedish court sentenced a Pentecostal pastor to one month in prison after finding him guilty of offending homosexuals in a sermon. The case was the first trial test of the national law against incitement as applied to speech about homosexuals. Last year during a sermon delivered in the east coast town of Borgholm, Ake Green described homosexuality as "abnormal, a horrible cancerous tumor in the body of society." He called homosexuals "perverts, whose sexual drive the Devil has used as his strongest weapon against God."In an editorial in the same issue, Mr. Larry Austin of Norway, Maine pointed out that "... Canada recently passed bill C-250. This bill makes any unfavorable mention of homosexuality hate speech which is now a criminal act. Now authorities are allowed to consider the Bible a form of criminalized hate speech and charge those who teach it with criminal offenses...." Now, you might ask yourself what could be so funny about the above reports? Well, nothing, ...
Friday August 13th, 2004 What happened? How did we get here? How in the world did we, the USA, ever get to this point? Adultery, homosexuality, abortion, drugs, and the list goes on. How did we ever sink to this place we now find ourselves? How is it that the USA could start life, as a nation founded on the premise of Christian Evangelization, and a short three hundred years later find itself in such a state as to have homosexuals in some of the highest offices of the land? In the late 1980's there appeared, from under a rock, a thing called Goals 2000. It came under the guise of "we need to do it for the children". This was a thing thought up in Washington with the able, determined, and family hating help of the National Education Association. Goals 2000 was designed with one stated goal in mind, they have since hidden that goal, that goal being, that ultimately every child in the country would be in the same place in the same book on the same day. For instance, if a third grade student left Bangor, Maine Friday night and went into a third grade class in Los Angles, California Monday morning, he would be on the same page and book in the LA class as he would have been in Bangor, as would his fifth grade sister and eleventh grade older brother. This Goals 2000 plan, thanks to the leftist input of the NEA and their ilk, also included a very pro radical homosexual agenda. Has it worked? If you are over thirty,...
Monday August 16th, 2004 Glorify Thyself in me Lord. For years now, people have enjoyed singing to the Lord. One of the favorites is "I Surrender All." Now we have a new song along the same vein, called, I think, "Glorify Thyself in me Lord". Fortunately, God sees the heart and knows the truth rather than having to just rely upon our words. For these are only words to us, not a pledge of any kind, and thanks be to the Living God, the Creator of all things, He knows that. For let us think for a minute what we are saying when we sing these two songs, and then let's look at what would happen if we were serious and then did not follow through. Lord, Glorify Thyself in me: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 ACP/KJV) Are you prepared to live such a life that all around you and all who come in contact with you raise their voice up to heaven in thanks to God for you and your works? These words spake Jesus, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said,...

Wednesday September 29th, 2004
What the President should have said:
My opponent has supported every form of infanticide proposed over the last 20 years.
My opponent has supported every proposition put forward by the radical left wing anti-family homosexual lobby since he first set foot in public office over twenty years ago....
Father, let Thy kingdom come, let Thy will be done, here on earth just as it is in heaven.
Oh Father, give me this day my daily bread, not the bread that puts weight and fat on my body
Lord, but the Bread of Thy word, for Thy Holy Son has told us that man doe not live by bread
alone, but by every word that proceeds out of Thy mouth.
Father, please forgive my sins, and help me Lord to forgive those who have trespassed against
me. For I know Lord that if I don't forgive others, You will not forgive me, but Lord at times it
is hard for me to forgive, so please Lord, help me to forgive others so that You can forgive me. ...
Wednesday November 10th, ... the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely
... Huh?
Well, today we are going to get into Luke chapter 16, the chapter that holds in it one of the most
difficult of all sections to understand. Or at least it would seem. I would like those of you who are
captains of fours, captains of sixteens, captains of hundreds and captains of thousands to pay
particular attention as we go through this. For being the day before Veteran's Day and Veteran's
Day this thought is of importance to those of you who have men's lives and souls in your hands.
Before we start, it is important for all of you to realize that Jesus never suggested doing anything
half way. He always wants 100%. He wants you put 100% into everything you do, regardless of
whom you serve, He wants you to serve 100% Now, let us get into meat, no milk toast today, real aged red meat. Luke Chapter Sixteen ...
Friday November 12th, It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck...
As true, Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, we are not the masters of this
earth, we are the servants, the slaves, the worker bees, the, as so many call us, Sheeple or Sheople.
But, is that so bad? Is it so bad to be only a worker or servant when we are living in someone else's
country? Someone else's land? Someone else's house? I think not. But, I do know that many of
you think it is not only bad, but unjust and unfair. You are certain that you could do a better job,
if only you were master instead of servant. I know many of you out there who are un content with your lot in life, unhappy with your material
wealth, unhappy with your station in life. And that saddens me. It saddens me because it makes me
realize how little I have taught you over the last seven years. Today we are going to take a closer
look at Luke Seventeen, it is my desire and my prayer that you will come, through our study today,
to realize that one; there is no purgatory and two; it is better to serve than be served, while in this
life on this earth and at this time....
Monday November 15th, they know not what they do.
As Jesus hung on the cross, He looked up towards heaven and said: Father, forgive them; for they
know not what they do. (Luke 23:34 ACP/KJV) Have you ever wondered to yourself just who and what
God the Son was asking God the Father to forgive? Who it was that knew not what they were doing?
And what it was that they had done? And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked Him, saying, "Art Thou the King
of the Jews?" And Jesus said unto him, thou sayest. And when He was accused by the chief priests and elders, He answered nothing. Then said
Pilate unto Him, "Hearest Thou not how many things they witness against Thee?" And Jesus
answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor greatly marveled. Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they
would. And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas. Therefore when they were
gathered together, Pilate said unto them, "Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas,
or Jesus which is called Christ?" For he knew that for envy they had delivered Jesus....
Wednesday November 17th, Lo, we have left all, and followed Thee.
Before we get into today's thought there are a few things I would like to mention, kind of in
reverse order, the least important first and the most important last. First; I would like to give you and example of just how out and out stupid the Christ denying
evolution believing fool is. The most recent insanity to come out of the evolutionist sewer
they call a mouth is that birds evolved from dinosaurs. What do they base this on?
Speculation. Speculation that dinosaurs may have, might have, could possibly have had
hollow bones. Well if they can speculate based upon stupidity, so can I. Do you have a
cat? If so go catch him or her, or it, if when it was a he or she you had taken him or her to
the vet for one of those operations to make him or her into an it. OK, got him, her or it?
Hold back his, her or it's ears and look into his, her or it's face. Does that face not look like
a snake's face? Look at the shape of his, her, or it's head, is it not reminiscence of the
head of a snake? A poisonous snake at that? So, my absolutely stupid statement based
upon flawed observation and a whole lot of absolutely insane speculation is that cats
evolved from snakes or maybe snakes evolved from cats. There, do you see how stupid
evolution is? Do you see how it takes more faith to believe in evolution than it does in
God's word the Holy Bible? Second; This is for all those combat Second Lieutenants, First Lieutenants, and Captains.
Get rid of the reporters! I am going to talk to you as if you were my son. Son, why are you
placing the liberal left wing anti US military reporters and camera men in with your men? ...
Friday November 19th, ...be patient with me as we look at portions of Luke, chapter 19...
When Pastor Bob asked me to use Luke 19 as a basis for a thought I was both humbled
and honored, but at the same time scared stiff. Our church has been praying every
morning from 6:00 AM until 7:00 AM since the week before the election, so this morning
in preparation for writing the thought, I had the honor of going to the author in prayer and
ask for help in what I should do. These early morning prayer sessions are made more
relaxing and comfortable through the efforts of a young home schooled man, Clayton, who
is a very gifted musician. He strums his guitar during the prayer time, softly singing his
praises to our Lord. I had talked to Bob many times about writing the thoughts and he
always told me the words were not really his, he was just the medium to convey them.
Now I am starting to understand that. On Wednesday evenings our local congregation has been studying the feasts of the Old
Testament. If Bob is willing I would like to author some thoughts later on with this material.
We have found it fascinating to say the least. Before I get started on Luke 19 let me editorialize a little. What do you all think of the latest
news out of Washington concerning Colin Powell leaving his position as Secretary of State?
He had said early on that one term was all he would serve and he was a man of his word
and is stepping down. I did not agree with all he did as Secretary of State, but I did agree
with much of what he did. It looks like we now have Secretary of State Rice. Will this be
a launching pad for a bid to the Republican nomination for President in 2008? Remember,
she admits to being pro-choice...
Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's
Wow, it has now been 41 years today, since John Kennedy was shot dead. John
Kennedy, a former president of the Untied States was shot dead in Dallas, Texas 41
years ago today. When Kennedy was shot he had a 28% favorable rating, he was
about as well thought of, in the Military as was John Kerry. Yet, two seconds after he
was pronounced dead, you would have been hard pressed to find anyone willing to say
anything less than complimentary about him.
What you ask, does Kennedy's assassination have to do with Luke chapter twenty?
Plenty, for you see, well before the doctors pronounced Kennedy dead, God had. And
Kennedy found himself knelling before God Almighty. Well, in Luke 20 we are going to
find that God is not going to let Kennedy slide on his acts of adultery, treason, lying,
stealing and failing to give His life to Christ, just because...
HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2004
A guest Thanksgiving sermon by:
Rev. Jim Marstaller
Pastor of the Cornerstone Gospel Church

Now it happened as Jesus went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of
Samaria and Galilee. Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten lepers,
who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have
mercy on us!"
So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And
so it was as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he
was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on His face
at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
Monday December 6th, 2004 Wednesday December 8th, 2004 Friday December 10th, 2004 Monday December 13th, 2004 Wednesday December 15th, 2004 ...when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
And, when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. That statement should end with an exclamation mark. Today we are going to delve into the first half of Luke Chapter 22. When thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren! ... 1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. 2 And
the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill Him; for(but) they feared the
people. 3 Then entered satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of
the twelve. 4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and
captains, how he might betray Him unto them. 5 And they were glad, and
covenanted to give him money. 6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to
betray Him unto them in the absence of the multitude. There are those within our
ranks, the ranks of the solid Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian
communities that underestimate the power of satan. Don't you be one of them, think about
Judas. Judas had spent just about 3 years with the Lord. He was with Him day and night,
just about 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for those 3 years, yet, satan got to him.
Father, if Thou be willing...
Yesterday was the 63rd anniversary of the sneak and supposed surprise attack on Pearl
Harbor by the Japanese. There is something we should have learned from that attack,
something not especially important to the liberals or to those who would rewrite history so
as not to offend. Something that the muslims, the abortionists, the leftist press and the
politicians they serve, should have learned and not hidden. And that something is that there
is no force on earth, amongst men, that is more powerful, determined and vicious than the
average American White male once he has been pushed too far. Ask the British, ask the
American Indian, ask the Japanese.
Today we are going to study the second half of Luke chapter twenty-two. What has what
I said above got to do with the second half of Luke 22? That might hinge on what I say
next. the reason I bring up the fact that there is no force, of man, on earth that is more
determined, single-minded, vicious and powerful than the Average white male citizen of the
USA, when he has finally had enough, is as a warning to the President, the liberals, the
leftist news, the abortionist and the muslims. The United States of America is not a melting
pot, it is a tinder box waiting to explode.
Back during the reign of disgraced and impeached president Clinton, there was one thing
standing between the Clinton administration's desire to overthrow the Constitution and
replace it with Karl Marx communist manifesto and the continuation of the ...
"Blessed are the Caregivers"
By: Steve Burzlaff
Although I was planning on a thought based on the feasts for today, Pastor Bob has sort
of redirected my subject to one that is very current and a very real situation for my family. 1 John 3:10: In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil:
whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his
brother. If we are not doing what God directs us, the whole world sees it and you can bet they are
ready to point fingers. How can we claim to love God if we do not love our parents enough
to care for them? First a little background: The caregiver issue for my in-laws has changed in the past five
years. At first they were generally able to handle their daily lives with just a little assistance.
There was a lady who came in and helped with some meal preparation and cleanup and
maybe a shower for my mother-in-law. Janice provided the majority of this as the kids were
younger and home schooling was simple. Then came more crises in their lives ...
