Today, if you don't mind, I would like, since it is the beginning of the new year, the year of our Lord 2,005, to hit on three and if time permits four things. The first thing I want to do is cover the Lords Prayer. Let us look at the context first and then the prayer itself. Actions have consequences.

With each action, there IS a reaction. Whether we like it or not, we are responsible for our actions. To dramatically show you what I'm talking about, I want to tell you a story and then show you a very brief movie and then get back to the thought. Off the coast of Puerto Rico is a little island called Vieques. This little island had been used for around seventy five years as a Navy aerial and sea target range, it was also used by the Maine Corp as a life fire training area. From about 1963 on, a group of Puerto Ricans with support from the leftist in our body politic, the infamous Republic hating ACLU, and Hollywood, set out to kick the Navy and the Marine Corps out. Well, right after President Bush took office, Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld gave them their wish and ended all Navy and Marine operations on Vieques. Shortly after that, there was a huge "Navy and Marine Corps out of Puerto Rico" party held and attended by all of the big mucky mucks in the Puerto Rican government. Not long afterwards, Secretary Rumsfeld announced that the Navy would be closing the Roosevelt Roads Naval Air Station in Puerto Rico. With no target range, what need of the air base was there? Now the Governor of Puerto Rico and others are lamenting the loss of 1200 civilian jobs, 700 military jobs and three hundred million dollars. ...

Questions, questions, questions, and even more questions.

We preachers always seem so sure of ourselves. Don't you wonder if we ever have questions? We do, or let me say, I do. Wanna see some of my ponderings? Some of my questions? Some of the things I go to Lord over with a "Huh?"? As we do, keep in mind these are not all of my questions and most of them I have no absolute answer for, some I do, some I'm not 100% sure of, so I lean towards the side that is most conservative. Does Christ hate all Roman Catholics or just those who evangelize and/or just those who are part of the hierarchy of the cult of Roman Catholicism? Should we be burning witches, stoning homosexuals and shooting abortionist? Can a person, who is not a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb bond servant of the Lord Jesus Christian get into heaven? How strict is God? Let's start with the easy ones, the ones I am sure of the answers. Question: Can a person, who is not a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb bond servant of the Lord Jesus Christian get into heaven? Satanic Attack

This is not what I planned on writing for today. This week our family experienced what could only be a satanic attack directed against all of us, but especially against me. Pastor Bob told me to be prepared, and I thought I was, but little did I know the ways of the devil when he sets his sights on you. He will find a weakness and exploit it for his own uses, all the while convincing you nothing is wrong. Only when you realize what is happening and summons help does he start to end the assault and even then he does so with great reluctance. First and foremost, we must remember that satan is not all powerful. He is a very powerful adversary; however, God does not leave us to fend for ourselves without His benevolent protection. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (Ephesians 6:10 KJV) We have to remember, that and be strong, remembering that He is on our side. We are told to "be strong and resist the devil." We are not told to "arm ourselves and go fight the devil" Why not? John 11:35 Jesus wept.

If your grandparents went to a public school, than your great grandparents made Jesus weep. If your parents went to a public school, than your grandparents learned nothing from the mistakes of their parents and they made Jesus weep. If you were sent to a public school, than your parents were every bit as blinded as their parents and grandparents and were the cause of Jesus weeping. And if you are sending your children to a public school in this day and age, than you too are responsible for this:

As a Christian parent, God has entrusted you with children. I am going to list proof that the public schools are an outright disaster, that they are responsible for the ills of society today to an extent almost equal to the responsibility and percentage of blame laid at the foot of the pulpit. If you listened to my old friend Rush Limbaugh yesterday, and yes Rush is indeed and old friend, how I wish he were a brother as well, but alas, that is in his hands. But, if you were to have listened to him, Sean Hannity, or any of the others radio talk show host, you would have come to the knowledge that there are those in the body politic that hate President bush every bit as much and with every bit the zeal as Osama Bin Laden. Many a teen is faced with that question. In today's promiscuous, easy going, everything goes society teens are not taught to wait for marriage, they are told, "it is ok, if you love someone". Ah, the new media, versus the old media. The old media, the old guard, the old breed are smarting after being creamed in the last election. They are not only upset, mad and fit to be tied, they are totally and emphatically confused, bewildered and bewitched. They still haven't figured out what happened. So, instead of sitting down and getting to know where they went wrong and the new breed went right, they instead call names. Ted Turner, the leftist who owns Communist News Network, has called Fox News 'Hitler". The big mucky mucks in New York along with a little help from Michael Moore have labeled every state that went for George Bush, Jesus land. As if that were an insult. There are many out there who claim to be either a Christian businessman, policeman, lawyer, doctor, politician, school teacher or other who is in a position of authority within the secular world. If you are in a position of authority within the secular world and you are successful, you are either one who has mastered the verse: Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. (Matthew 10:16 ACP/KJV) or you may just want to sit down and re-evaluate your claim to be a Christian. If you are not successful, and seem to run into one obstacle after another, you are in all probability a Christian who has mastered, as so many of us have, being harmless as doves, but have not or can not be a wise as serpents. The 1973 Roe vs. Wade decision legalizing abortion in America is simply about killing, but it is not only about the wanton killing of the 40+ million unborn children who have been sacrificed on the altar of expediency. Our Christian brothers and sisters cry out at the rising cry of these innocent ones fashioned in the likeness of God. Looking beyond this is another cry: the cry of a collapsing society. Not only did Roe vs. Wade show a symptom of that collapse it was catalyst the accelerated collapse. Dear Cory

So, you say, "who is Cory?" Funny you should ask, I was just going to tell you who Cory is anyhow, but since you've beat me to it and asked, I'll get right to it and introduce Cory to you. Cory is a youngster that attends Pastor Jim Marstaller's Cornerstone Gospel Church in Naples, Maine. Virginia passes a law about low cut pants.

Over the last day or so one of the big news stories on the internet has been a new law in Virginia, it is a law that makes it illegal to wear pants cut so low as to show ones underwear. This law carries with it a fine of $50.00. I want you to take a minute and think about that for a minute. The state of Virginia, the politicians of Virginia, have found it necessary to step in and make a law prohibiting people from wearing pants cut so low that they show their underwear. Now think about this, it is the politicians who have come to the realization that all of this low cut pant stuff is bordering on nudity is offensive. We are not talking about pillars of society here, we are talking about the people who have brought you legislation legalizing infanticide, legislation to legalize homosexual behavior. Not pillars of society by any stretch of the imagination. It is politicians who have brought us legalized gambling, legalized everything, opened the air waves to pornography and yet, these self same politicians are starting to say 'enough is enough'. Now I'm going to ask you to ponder two questions. First, what in the world would possess a father to let his teen aged sons and daughters go out in public wearing pants cut so low as to show their underwear? Second: what in the world would possess a husband to allow his wife out in public wearing pants cut so low that the entire world could see her underwear? I think the answer to both questions is simple, to much of the world gets married for all the wrong reasons. They do not get married out of love, hey, if they loved one another...

Do you care enough to miss a few meals?

Monday February 14^th, 2005 Most people call it, an ‘unborn child'. I want you to think about that for a moment if you would. ‘Unborn child'? Yes, that which is in the womb of a mom is a child, it is a baby, and I guess if you really thought about it, it is a baby that simply has not been born yet, so, in fact it is an ‘unborn baby'. But, let's go a bit deeper with our thinking, let's really think what it is that we so callously call an ‘unborn baby'. Is it not a baby? Is it not really a baby in the womb? Would we not be more accurate if we, instead of referring to it, as an ‘unborn baby', instead referred to him or her as a baby in the womb? Let me paint a word picture for you, describing what most of Christiandom simply calls an ‘unborn baby': A baby boy or a baby girl trapped in his or her mom's womb with nowhere to run, nowhere to hide and no one, other than mom, to protect him or her. The baby in the womb, a baby in what should be the safest place on earth, sleeping soundly in the supposed safety of his or her moms womb, waking a bit now and again to stretch a leg or check out his or her arm, hand or finger movement. Now, isn't that more like it? Isn't it better to call little him or her a Baby in the womb, rather than just an unborn baby?...

God Wants Us To Finish

When I drive to work in the morning I pass by adult bookstores, when I shop in stores there are magazines at the checkout counter that used to only be kept under the counter and in plain brown wrappers. Yes, I complain to the store management, I write letters to local government leaders about business licensing procedures and attend council meetings to voice my opposition, but satan is there wanting to dangle these temptations in front of us. ...

Prayer and Fasting

This past week Pastor Bob called us to fast. What do you know about a calling to fast? There are examples of fasting in both the Old and New Testaments. With what is probably the best known being CHRIST fasting for 40 days and while doing so reminded us to fast, using a simple phrase "when you fast" notice it is NOT "if you fast." There are some other examples of fasting such as Psalm 35:13 - But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. (KJV) This past week when Pastor Bob called for a 24 hour fast for the babies in the womb. How many of you followed his example? How many of you humbled yourselves before the Lord then turned to scripture and found Ezra 8:21 ...

You are either Pro-Life or you are pro-abortion, there is no common ground!

February 21^st, 2005 The day we celebrate the birth of the founder of our country, George Washington. On this day, we are going to look at abortion and how the so-called Pro-Life community seems to be made up of vipers, hypocrites and fence sitters. On February 2^nd, of this year, Congressman Duncan Hunter a Pro-Life Republican from California, introduced HR-552. A bill that, the second it is signed into law, ends all abortion in the United States and her possessions. Abortion is absolutely ended. Ended with no exceptions whatsoever and with no doctors willing to perform an abortion. For a doctor or anyone else to perform or attempt to perform and abortion would be to put their own life on the line. So why haven't you heard about HR-552 from the pulpit? Why hasn't HR-552 been all over Christian radio? Why have self proclaimed strong pro-life advocates like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage ignored HR-552? Why? The answer is really simple, while they proclaim themselves to be pro-life, the total end of abortion scares them and endangers their incomes. What if they need to have a baby in the womb slaughtered? What if there is no place to get rid of those millions and millions of unwanted babies trapped in the womb? How would they legally dispose of the baby in the womb who may, according to modern medicine, be deformed or worse? On more than one occasion, I have mentioned that I pray to God, on behalf of the babies in the womb, and in the name of the Holy Messiah Christ Jesus, invoking Psalm 109 against those who kill little ones trapped in the womb and their allies. Before I do this publicly today, I want you to ask yourself something; Ask yourself this: "Am I one of those Bob is invoking Psalm 109 against?" Are you one of the millions who claim to be pro-life, but have done nothing to stop the wanton slaughter of millions of babies each year? Are you one of the tens of millions here in the USA that claim to be pro-life, but do not lift one finger to stop the slaughter of 1.3 million or more babies each year right in this country? Healing Scriptures.

Friday February 25^th, 2005 The past weeks have been especially trying for us. My mother who at 90 has Alzheimer's Disease has taken a turn for the worse. My 90 year old father-in-law and 84 year old mother-in-law have both been to the local ER with heart related problems. At times like this I like nothing better than to turn to Scripture and read. I have included as the thought for this week a partial list of verses we have collected over the years that pertain to healing. We have lists that we carry and read as a comfort whether in hospital waiting rooms, at bedside with parents, or in the privacy of our home. I will try to include some more in coming weeks. Dreams and visions...

Throughout the word of God, the Holy Bible, we see references to dreams and dreamers. Now everyone dreams, and at times we all remember a dream, we have a tendency to remember scary dreams that we call nightmares. But, often times we might remember other dreams as well. Last night I had two dreams, one I don't remember, I do know it was funny, because my wife woke me up to find out what I was laughing about. I honestly don't remember. The second dream, that I know of last night, was the one that caused me to wake up 15 minutes before the alarm went off, it was a nightmare. That dream I remember. I do wish it was the funny one I remembered and not the scary one. And while I was able to tell my wife about the nightmare. I was unable to tell her about the dream that had me laughing in my sleep. For me, each mornings prayer includes these lines: "... and forgive me for the things I have said, done, thought and even dreamt that have offended Thee, for those things that I say, do, think, and dream that are offensive to Thee are sin..." The Fiddler on the Roof...

Today I would like to ask you to see a movie, not a short movie, a long one, one that runs just one minute short of three hours. The movie? The Fiddler on the Roof, a 1971 musical set in a tiny village in Russia at the time of a great purge of Russian Jews and a time when the Czarist form of government was being replaced with one much, much worse, the government of pure evil, communism. Final Hours

I don't think it is ever possible for anyone to be totally prepared for the death of a loved one. Even the family of the terminally ill cancer patient has hope for a recovery. The parents of the child injured in a car accident who is now clinically dead still have that hope. This hope must come from our faith in Jesus. Without Him there is no hope. One of the saddest stories I have heard was told by a local pastor. He was the pastor of a small church in a small rural community. There had been a death of a young man and the family asked the funeral director about a pastor for the funeral. Since our pastor had just arrived in town and knew he would be working with the funeral director he had paid a call on him. The funeral director contacted him and asked if he would conduct a funeral service for this young man. Of course the pastor could not refuse. He met with the family to find out what they wanted for the funeral. He was struck by the total helplessness and grief they showed. They had absolutely no hope of salvation of any type. They were totally devastated by the death of this young man and had no idea of salvation. The pastor said the family was not prepared ...

Why do you tithe?

What is your reason for tithing? Do you tithe because you are grateful for what Jesus has done on the cross for you and you want to fund the very church or organization that brought His wonderful news of salvation to you? Or is it that you tithe to make yourself feel good or maybe out of a sense of duty or obligation? If, this coming Sunday, the Pastor or whoever in the church calls for the collection, forgot to ask, or they simply didn''t have a collection, would you return home with your tithe in your pocket? What if your Pastor announced that he could no longer be part of the government approved church system and was therefore voluntary withdrawing himself and the church from 501©©)3 status, therefore making your tithing and contributions no longer tax deductible? Would you still tithe? At the same level?What if you found out that the pro-life groups you are now supporting were not pro-life, would you continue to support them? What if you found out that your church was in fact not pro-life, would ...

Have we become a society of death? Or is it that perhaps we are becoming a society of death? For over thirty years now, abortion has been the law of the land. For some thirty plus years now it has been a legal and protected practice for a mother to take the little baby in her womb and have it killed. Not because of anything the baby did, no, simply because that little baby boy of girl might be a problem, a stumbling block in the mothers pursuit of happiness. During the last 31 years or so, over 100,000,000 babies have been murdered in the USA alone. Over one hundred million, close to one third of our current population. And now that number is going to go even higher for now, we, as a society, do not seem content to just kill the baby in the womb, no now we want a legally protected right to kill any and all who are infirm and in the way. we want to change the default from life, to death. Some of the things in Scripture which pull us away from putting God in the position of first place are "cares, riches and pleasures of this life," Luke 8:14. People were given a special place in the Word when they put God first. Abraham was willing to sacrifice his only son - he passed the test. Hannah was given a son (and later other children) once she vowed to give God her firstborn. Daniel, and his three friends, showed the God was number one in his life. yesterday my wife came home from school all excited with something she just had to tell me. When I said to her, "OK, calm down and tell me what is this news that can not wait?" She started to tell me about how one young man in her class had ended a discussion, held by one of the state of Maine's politically correct overseers of the downfall of the youth of America, my description not hers, by saying "We wouldn't have all this trouble if you would just let God back into the schools."

Over the weekend I was talking to a young woman, she told me about a dream she had. As I listened to her dream it made me at first very happy and then very sad. Let me tell you about it. She told me that in her dream she and her husband were walking down a street in a city, they turned a corner and walked up another block and then turned again, as they walked up this street, her husband suddenly disappeared. Just vanished. She looked all around and ran back over their route asking everyone she saw if they had seen her husband, none had. I have known her for about 18 months, but I have known her husband for 23 years, so I guess it would be safe to say that I know him better than I know her. I have been telling him about the Lord and having him read about the Lord for the last four years or so, her I have neglected for the most part. He I pray for daily, her I had been praying for occasionally....

His life could have gone down a whole different trail had it not been that God had wanted him to be great. David moved from being a mere sheppard boy to King. A parallel to Moses going from being a Prince to being a sheppard. How did David do it? He didn’t, God moved in his life and He can move in yours the same way. Wisdom and Guidence

I am going to use the bully pulpit of ChristianPatriot.com today in seeking wisdom and guidance. I am not going into all the nitty gritty details, some of which you might know if you are a regular here. For the past 10+ years we have been caring for my in-laws in an ever increasing manner. It started with him (Willis) having a stroke on March 9, 1995 followed in two weeks with her (Betty) going to the hospital for bypass surgery. Since then there have been more strokes, Willis having bypass surgery and Betty falling and breaking a hip. These various problems are all complicated by Betty having had type II Diabetes leading to loss of vision five years ago and Parkinson’s Disease for seven years and Willis has now been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease.

When they first started requiring care for daily living it was a matter of having someone come in two or so times a week...

Oh how many of our problems, here in the USA and in our homes, would go away if only we had courage. Lord God, Creator of all heaven and earth, Creator of the universe, hear me I pray. Lord give unto these men, who read this thought, the courage needed to reclaim their lives and families, cities, towns, state and nation for You. Amen. Let us start with the President of these United States, for it is well known that George Bush 43 is the first president I have had any use for in well over 60 years. Of all the politicians I know and know of, he is one of a very few who I would actually invite inside my home. But, President Bush 43, like most of the rest of the men in this once great nation of ours, has been stricken by the Lord with a spirit of cowardliness. Had President Bush hit the tora bora area of Afghanistan with one or two nuclear missiles within a day or two of 911, we would not now be faced with an extended battle on terrorism. Had the president on 9-12-2001 called the dictators of Canada and Mexico and told them to either stop the illegals from crossing the borders or face war, the borders would be secure and the thousands of men who have given up money, time and family to patrol the borders, would be at home with their families. Had the President shown the courage to send US Marshals down to Florida to enforce the supeona issued by the US Congress for Terri Schiavo, she would be alive and our culture would be turning pro-life instead of pro-death. ...

To often we put off praying. We put it off till a more convenient time, a time more to our liking. You will remember that last Friday Pastor Steve wrote the thought, in that thought he asked for your prayers. He told you how he and his wife had been taking care of his in-laws for over ten years, and how they really needed a Christian woman to live in with the in-laws, who live within 300 yards of Steve and his family. Last night Steve called to let me know that our prayers had been answered. They had a fine Christian woman apply within 48 hours of the thought, they hired her Monday. Praise God. As we were talking Steve told me that he was about to go into a dead cell area. Now, I may be a bit behind the times when it comes to technology, but even I know what a dead cell area is. ...

Two days later that help arrived in the form of a lady named Robin. Yes, Pastor Bob and I should have rejoiced and given thanks together. He made the correct assumption that I already had been on my knees before the Lord. If a bird walks along with a waddle, spends most of it's time in the water, quacks while in the water, in the air, and on land, looks like a duck, and taste like a duck when plucked and cooked, it is a duck. Makes no difference that it claims to be an elephant, a chicken, a giraffe or a hippo, it is a duck. Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, the infamous Maine State Senator from Fryeburg, Maine, David R. Hastings the 3^rd, claim to be Republicans, but, what they claim and what they are is just as stark in contrast as to the duck claiming to be an elephant. Yesterday was my physical birthday. Yes, I was born on May 5, 1950 and yesterday on May 5, 2005 I celebrated my 55^th birthday. When others found that out almost invariably they made comments to me like, "you better buy a lottery ticket with fives." Since I firmly believe the state operated lottery is wrong and becomes another tax on the poor, I did not buy one. I celebrated the majority of my day attending a business meeting 250 miles from home in Huntsville, Alabama. I left the meeting a few minutes early and eagerly headed north to Kentucky. Arriving home and being able to share my joys with a loving wife and family was what mattered. On the 4 hour drive I had time to contemplate what God has done for me in 55 years. I have now lived for 20,089 days. That is 20,089 beautifully painted sunrises and 20,088 sunsets that God has provided for my enjoyment. My heart has beat over 2,024,971,200 times. Think of the enormity of all that. Without my consciously doing a thing, that muscle in my chest has beat over two billion times. What a wonderful thing life is and how great it is to contemplate how much I have accomplished and how much more there is to do. Although we do not know the days of our lives and must live them physically as though we will be home with Christ at any moment it is good to contemplate the past and anticipate the promise of future. As, I'm sure you all know, every word in the Bible is there because God wants it there. The Bible is not a book of independent thoughts written by men of old. No, it is a book where God used many men over many years to record His thoughts, ideas, commands and instructions for us. You could, I suppose, take and make every word in the entire Bible Red or Purple. In Joshua 24:15&21 there is a conversation between Joshua, and the people of Israel.15: And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD....

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.

Today, May 13^th is the day Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld is to present the Department of Defense recommendations for the 2005 round of the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) to the BRAC committee. I happen to have worked in one form or another for the Army for the past 35+ years and am certain that in some way BRAC will have an effect on my life and the lives of those I love and those I work with every day. There are some who have worried themselves sick, both physically and mentally, worrying about the impact to themselves by the decisions. Decisions they really have little or no power to influence. Jesus, Matthew Five.Many of you know about the program we have called the "Prayer Grandparent program" and I'm sure some of you wonder if it works. Today I am going to tell you about a man being prayed for and the his prayer grandfather. Jim is a Staff Sargent in the Untied States Army, he has recently graduated from a school that teaches men how to identify road side improvised devices also known as road side bombs. Jim is now at home on leave, but will shortly be on his way to either Iraq, Afghanistan or maybe Iran to find, identify and disarm roadside bombs. We all know that in today's society we sure need a constant reminder of what Christian morality guidelines are. Whether at home in front of the TV, at work, out in public or in front of the computer, satan is there next to each and every one of us tempting us. How should we react to this temptation? First of all we need to be aware of his ways of tempting us and try not to allow ourselves to be placed into situations where we are tempted. Don't be a slave to the TV. Get up and shut it off. No matter how fancy they are, they all have an on/off switch. It takes an awareness of your surroundings to remember to avert your eyes from that young lady coming towards you in the store. There are two distinct groups within the Warrior class here in the USA, there is the US Military and the men and women who make up the various State Militias. Last week a man who served in both died, his name was Forrest Roland Maguire, Mac to his friends. Mac was just 61 years old, he and I had been close friends since the age of 10. Our friendship, like so many, developed out of conflict. Our back yards abutted one another and we, as ten year olds, had taken it upon ourselves to assure that neither he nor I would step over that invisible boundary line, we defended our line with bow and arrow. It is amazing, in hindsight, that we didn't seriously wound one another or worse yet end up with one of us dead. As time went on we learned to talk to one another and later to decided it was better to be fishing in the shade than stand in the sun firing arrows at one and other, resulting in having our moms beat our tails for trying to kill one another. Fishing brings folks together. For as we fished we talked, and as we talked we became friends, and that friendship grew and grew over the next fifty plus years. Last Wednesday night at 9:30 cancer did to Mac what I and many and enemy over his 26 years of active duty in the US Army and ten plus years in Maine State Militia had tried and failed to do, for cancer took Macs life. ...

I honestly know of no other Pastor who is saying what I am about to say. These fine young courageous men died in vain. There are dead bodies floating everywhere, and there are snakes, rats, and other things floating, swimming and finding refuge in places rescuers need to put their hands and bodies. But what about the animals? What about the dead dogs, cats, pet skunks, horses and chickens? What about them? Funny isn't it, the very ones responsible for the first death of animals are the ones who are now crying the loudest about their deaths in New Orleans, and area. Why did this happen? Starting next Monday there will be an eleven thought series on Genesis, chapters one thru eleven. Today I am going to lay a bit of the ground work for that series. Let's start with question. Are you willing to bet your eternity that the word "book" in Revelation 21 verses 18 and 19 does not mean the entire Bible? 18. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. There is very little doubt that the word "book" in verse 18 means the Book of Revelation, but as for verse 19, ah there comes...

First, did I make a mistake? Judge ye, but judge ye according to the word of God, the Holy Bible.

Some time ago I did a commentary on the entire book of Revelation, in Revelation Chapter Six there has been some dispute. Today I am going to show you the original and the most credible objection. The reason I am dong this is because I want to show you that I am human, you can not rely upon my writings any more than you can rely upon any other humans writings. Hey what say we start right out by getting a whole bunch of so called "Christian leaders" with PhD's mad? Let me tell you a secret, God knows how to say what He means. He knows how to use the English language, the Greek language, the Hebrew language and every other language on earth, for after all, He created them. He doesn't need help from a guy with a puny little PhD, He knows what He wants to say and He knows how to say it. And He did both in His book, the Holy Bible.
Ok Pastors and Christian leaders read this and get it through your thick, egotistical, prideful heads: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth! How do I know? Because God said so. And He is smarter than you. He created you and you are not His peer. You are either His bond servant, His slave, or you are serving satan. When you tell people that God is stupid, that He doesn't know what He is talking about because you know that In the beginning God didn't create the heaven and the earth, it evolved over millions and millions of years, that is exactly what you are doing and may you be cursed for it!
Guys I want you to both understand some things and do something. I want you to spit in the face of those who call your Master, your Lord, Christ Jesus a liar...

Today we are going to be back in the book of Genesis. But first I want you to be aware of something. For years now there has been a raging academic debate on when we, the Church, the Bride of Christ, are raptured. There are those who say that we, the true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, are raptured before the tribulation begins. The strongest case for that occurs in Thessalonians and In Jesus' Revelation to John in Chapter three. I belong to that group. Others claim that they see in Scripture that we will not be raptured until half way through the seven year tribulation period. Still others claim to believe that the rapture does not take place till the end of tribulation. And then there are those who do not agree that the tribulation period is a period of seven years. Some say it began with Hitler, some since the first pope and others say that the period of Tribulation began when Jesus ascended up into heaven. Up until now, the argument, discussion if you would, has been all academic....Well, my dear Brothers and Sisters, the day of academic debate is over, for the debate has now moved into the real world with very real consequences...

I haven't had the time to devote to this thought this week that I wanted to. As most of you all know, Janice's parents are both in very poor health now. Her dad will be 91 next month and has Alzheimer's disease and congestive heart failure along with other maladies. Her mom is 84 and is in the last stages of Parkinson's Disease, has advanced type 2 diabetes, is blind and has congestive heart failure. We had her dad at the local ER on Wednesday afternoon with shortness of breath and an erratic heartbeat. He will be 91 on October 26 and is continually amazing us with his recovery from life threatening situations. Yesterday was one of them. When we were taking him, I had to left him in to and out of the Suburban and place him in a wheel chair. As the ER staff were running...

So, who's right, Dr. Hovind and Ken Ham or me? Genesis chapter five, the very word of God.

The two men who are without a doubt the foremost experts on Genesis Chapters one thru eleven and I have one little bone of contention. One little tiny bone. First let me make this perfectly clear to you. I am not even in the league with Dr. Hovind and Mr. Ken Ham, they have forgotten more about proof of creation over evolution than I will ever know. If that were not true, they would not have links on the links page. These two men have had a profound impact on my understanding of what I already knew to be the absolute truth, God created the universe, not darwin, not evolution. That said, what is the little bone of contention? Dr. Hovind, Ken Ham and I all agree that the Genesis account adds up to 6,415 years or so. They say from creation, I say from the fall. Is that a big difference? No! Not at all. My reason is that I can think of no reason for Adam to have birthdays before the fall, so I figure that God started ...

Not long ago a friend and I were talking, and a woman overheard the entire conversation. She said, "My God would never allow anything like that to happen." I think that one of the biggest reasons liberal churches take out the first eleven chapters of Genesis is because they do not want to face the reality that God is not only a loving God, He is A God who loves us so much that He disciplines when necessary.
Today, as we go through Genesis six and seven we are going to see the power of God. We are also going to see a warning from God. Additionally we are going to see that when we get too far out of hand, God can and will destroy. He can and will destroy everything. We know that in the future God will destroy the earth again. But for those who think He can't do it, we are going to read today how He has already done it once....

Genesis 8 & 9, the rain ends, the floods abate, the ground dries, the first act of disobedience, animals fear man and man eats animals. And Noah dies.

As we study Genesis eight and nine this weekend, we are going to see that with man, even the best, the most chosen, have a tendency to start right off sinning. God chose Noah, of all the people on earth. It was only Noah, his wife, their three sons and daughter-in-laws that God chose to save. It was with Noah, his sons, and Noah's daughter-in-laws that God chose to repopulate the earth. Do you realize that every last one of us, every man, woman, and child on earth, whether white, black, yellow, red, whatever, are all kin? We are all descendants of Noah and we can all call Noah great, great, grandpa 150 times removed....

Today will be one of the shortest thoughts I have ever done. The reason is that if I do both chapters 10 and 11 at the same time, the thought could get rather long. Today we will be looking at the descendants of Noah, the children of his three sons. The year is 1657 after the fall of man, 1,657 years since God gave Adam and Eve their walking papers and kicked them out of the Garden of Eden. 1,657 years since the clock of the earth started turning down. 1,657 years since man started eroding. 1,657 years since man no longer had a perfect body designed to live forever, disease and injury free. 1,657 years of thorns, thistles, crime, self denial, murder, sexual impurity, and worst of all separation from God. And now it is even worse, now the world has been remodeled. There are earthquakes, and there are animals afraid of and willing to kill man. Life is getting shorter, no more 900 year life spans, now it's going to be 200 and less. And the fools say we are evolving into something better. I would call them idiots, but I like the way the Apostle Peter put it better: . ..

While the evolutionist wander aimlessly we have facts.

Today we are going to have some fun. Yesterday I saw a girl with a bumper sticker that read: "Creationists hate evolution because evolution left them behind." My first inclination was to go up to her, play dumb, which as any of you who have met me know is an act that comes really easily to me and say: "Excuse me but, I'm confused by your bumper sticker, just what is a Creationist and what is evolution anyhow?" But then it occurred to me that I had better and more pressing things to do. But if you want to have some fun, just ask anyone who claims to believe in evolution what it means. Look dumb and just keep asking questions till they run out of answers. That won't take long, for as they articulate what they believe evolution is, they start to realize just how dumb it sounds and is. Now, today, let us look at Genesis chapter eleven, then my comments. ...

Over the last two weeks we have been looking at Genesis chapters one thru eleven. It is my sincere prayer that, those of you who stayed with it, can now understand that God's account of creation and satan's theory of evolution are 180 degrees opposite of one another. God tell us that He created everything in six literal 24 hour days. Satan's theory of evolution tells us that everything started as nothing, nothing at all and that, that nothing at all became something. Which after millions and millions of years became a tadpole and then a fish and then a lizard and then a monkey and then after millions and billions of years, a man. ...

Well today is Columbus Day. Columbus was not a coward, no he was not a coward. He was an explorer, one who put his fears behind him. He was a man who did not let his crew see any fear or doubt upon his face. Columbus was a man, not the man we'll talk about today and certainly not The Man, but a man for sure. Let's start with a few Questions and Answers. Question: Who is The Man of the Bible? Answer: Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, "Behold The Man!" (John 19:5 ACP/KJV) Who is The Man of the Bible? It is, of course, God the Son and even those who are possessed by satan know it, as evidenced by Pilate's quote above. ...

I really don't like to start my day by looking at the news, but this morning I am glad I did. This is going to be the last thought dealing with the foolishness of evolution for a while, I think. Actually, I am having so much fun driving those who subscribe to the religion of evolution nutty that maybe it will continue for a while longer. I don't know. God knows, but I don't know. On the links page at the very top is a picture of Jesus looking at the planet earth, His creation. I have that picture up for one very good reason. It is there to remind me to try my best each day, to, for at least a moment, put a smile on the Lord's face. I think the opening to today's thought might just do that....

Would you agree with this? "Parents have the right to be assured their children's beliefs and moral values are not undermined by the schools. Pupils have the right to have and to hold their values and moral standards without direct or indirect manipulations by the schools through the curricula, textbooks, audio-visual materials or supplementary assignments." Not in Maine, it appears that Maine does not even have a law on the books making it illegal for a teacher or school or text book to purposely mislead and even lie to kids. As a result your kids are being taught, by some unscrupulous teachers and administrators, that condoms are the best defense against sexually transmitted disease and pregnancy. Your kids are being taught that God is a liar as is His book, the Bible and that Charles Darwin is the truth teller. Governor John Baldacci along with the help of the vast majority of Democrats and extreme left wing liberal Republicans such as Senator David R. Hastings 3^rd, (R) of Fryeburg, want you to accept homosexuality and to pass laws protecting them and their behavior at the expense of the safety of your family...

Does not the word of God say: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. And were not those words spoken by the Very Lord God of Creation Himself, Christ Jesus? Yes they were and not I am not on thin ice, for it is commanded of us not to call our Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, our fellow Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, fools, not those who I am referring too, the unsaved, the heathens, the everyday member of humanity. Young man, don't tempt me!

How many of you have stood over an errant young son or daughter and looking down at him or her said with a firm, resolute and warning voice: "(insert their first and middle name here) , don't tempt me!" How many of you can remember, as can I, being on the receiving end of such a warning? It usually preceded a very serious spanking if the warning was not immediately heeded. For the last few months I have been saying "We are in a war... do something." I would have to be a believer in evolution, living in a cave in Tora Bora to not know that those words have fallen in deaf ears. I would have to be eligible to be a darwin award recipient to think you have heard and heeded my call to arms. So let me see if I can't find a way to wake you up for the war is raging and we need reinforcements. Yet you ignore the cry, and go about your business. Today I'm going to show you some Scripture that should get you out of the ranks of the complacent and into the front lines.
