You are what you put in you!

Monday January 2nd, 2006

Just as you are what you put into your soul, you are what you put into your body in the form of food and medicines as well. First let me wish you all a happy, safe and dedicated to serving the Lord 2006. Let's see now, this is our what year. Let me see, ChristianPatriot.com started as the print newspaper, American Christian Patriot in November of 1996. Starting with only 100 copies per month, it went on the web in 1998 as part of our free 5 meg web space with megalink.net. By the summer of 98 the thoughts were appearing daily on freerepublic.com as "a daily Christian Thought." Then on April 13th of 2000, we exceeded the five megabit limitation put on us by megalink and I changed to ChristianPatriot.com using megalink.net as a hosting service. Then on March 15th, 2002 ChristianPatriot.com truly came of age by going with HostingChristians. And that is where were are happily parked today, thank God. So, let's see, November of 1996 to January of 2006. Whew, we are in our ninth year. So, for the ninth time I wish a few of you a happy new year, for in our first year we averaged 3 hits a day. Two are still with us today and one has died. ...

I remember that spanking.

Wednesday January 4th, 2006

I know you are not going to believe this, but when I was a child, I did a few things wrong. I even did things that required my dad to give me a spanking. One of those times was when I was six and my brother Ricky was but three. I had decided that it was high time to teach Ricky not only who was boss, but not to just eat anything that was brought to him. I did this by having Rick close his eyes and open his mouth. Once Rick was there with mouth open, eyes closed, I stuck a great big juicy nightcrawler in his mouth and yelled "swallow it." Well Ricky being the obedient little brother that he was, obeyed and swallowed the worm without thinking, he later did something I hadn't counted on, he told our dad. I remember that spanking. Some say the body remembers non pain, not true, I remember that spanking, almost as well as the one I got for trading Ricky, at age 1 week, for a cocker spaniel puppy. Anyhow, while I deserved the spanking for sticking a worm in Rick's mouth and having him eat it, I was right in teaching him to be wary of what goes into his body.

How do you walk?

Friday January 6th, 2006

Father, in the name of Jesus let me walk carefully. Let me live for a purpose being worthy and accurate in all that I say and do. Do not let me stray with those who lack wisdom compassion. Let me be wise, intelligent, sensible in all that I say and do. Let my actions in all things truly show the godly wisdom, discernment, understanding and insight You have given me. I desire to be thoughtful of others and show righteousness, justice and integrity in all my actions. I ask these things in the name of your Son, Christ Jesus. Amen James 1:5-6a (KJV) 5: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6: But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering....

What in the world do quacks have to do with the Bible?

Monday January 9th, 2006

Well, I guess you guys are entitled to an explanation. Why am I all of a sudden talking about the Rockefeller stooges dressed in white with funny little listening devices hanging around their necks? First, let me set the stage by going to the words of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus, the Christ. 1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and His disciples came to Him for to shew Him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?" ...

Side effects, side effects and more side effects.

Wednesday January 11th, 2006

Guess I've been a bit long winded lately, so today I'll try, note that word "try", to be a bit briefer. Today we are going to talk about three deadly side effects. Did you know that the reason Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was so very sick? Why he almost died, why he had a stroke? Side effects, side effects from the medicine the nice smiling guys dressed in white coats with funny looking listening devices hanging around their neck gave him. Do you know why Vice President Dick Cheney was rushed to the hospital a few days ago? Side effects, side effects from the medicine the nice smiling guys dressed in white coats with funny looking listening devices hanging around their neck gave him. ...

Are you ashamed?

Mr. Steve Burzlaff
Friday January 13th, 2006

Once a week a group of men gather in a local restaurant for fellowship and breakfast. Each time we meet a different person leads a short devotional then we chow down and have some fellowship with breakfast. This week the devotional was short, but powerful. I would like to share it with you here. There seems to be a lack of a responses to invitations to non-Christians to give their hearts to the Lord, both in church settings and outside the organized church. The consensus was that how can we expect others to do this if we as believers in the resurrected CHRIST are ashamed of showing our own true beliefs. To make this point there were three scriptures used. I would like to share them with you and then offer you a short challenge.Romans 1:16 (KJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek....

Just what is a Truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian?

Monday January 16th, 2006
As most of you know, I am not one of those who falls for the "Once Saved Always Saved" slogan. Just as I find slogans like; "love the sinner but hate the sin" rather foolish and with no real meaning, so do I find "Once Saved Always Saved" more than a bit hollow as well. Today we are going to look at exactly, or more or less exactly how I define a "Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian." First I think it is important for all to understand that I am a Bible literalist. I firmly believe with all my heart and soul that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, the Trinity, are not only One, but have caused every word in the Bible to be written. That They either in concert or individually dictated every word that is written in the Book we call the Holy Bible. Now often times I am told that I cannot take the Bible literally that I must take it figuratively or symbolically. There are a couple of things that people can say to me, that will without a doubt really get under my skin. "You can't take the Bible literally" is right up there with "You wouldn't understand." Over the course of my sixty plus years of life, I have come to realize that ...

"See, he's a Christian and he's doing it."

satan Wednesday January 18th, 2006
How many times have I warned you about your behavior? How many times have I said Christian girls need to cover themselves, Christian boys and men need to refrain from even the appearance of denying Christ? Today we are going to start by looking at First Corinthians chapter eight. 1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity(love) edifieth. Edifieth means to build up, to construct, to do something positive. ...

Friday January 20th, 2006
In Maine it is winter. And thank the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus, it has been a very mild winter. January is more like March than January. Below are three pictures. Have you ever heard the old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words?" Well these pictures are indeed worth a thousand words each. ... ...
The picture on the left was taken January 19th, 2005. Notice the fact that it is daytime and the temperature is minus twenty degrees below zero. That is normal for Maine in January. The next two pictures were taken January 19th, 2006. Look carefully and you can see green grass in the close up. ...

Look in your cabinet, would you feed God that stuff?

Monday January 23rd, 2006
Since the first of the year, I have been trying to get you to eat better, but it seems as if some of you are listening and others are saying, ho hum. Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? Think about that for a moment, you are the temple of the Living God. What you eat, you are putting into the very temple of God. But, it is not just the Temple of God you are putting that stuff you eat into, it is God Himself.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? Not only is your body the Temple of the Living God, it is host and housing for God the Holy Ghost. Now before you take that next bite of whatever it is you are planning for your next snack or meal, are you really sure you want to feed that stuff to God? A long, long time ago in a little village in Israel, around 1000 BC, David sat down at his IBM compatible and wrote these words:...

I say "Ouch" just as Paul must have said "Ouch".

Wednesday January 25th, 2006

Sometimes I know exactly what it must have been like to be Paul, John, Mark, Matthew, and all the others. For just as they must have, at times, felt as if they were talking to a stone wall, so do I. But not just me, how about every preacher, pastor and evangelist out there. There is an old story about the preacher who was standing at the door shaking hands as folks left his church. One man came up to him and said: "Why pastor that is the best sermon I have ever heard." The old preacher looked at him and as he smiled said: "Tell me what your favorite part." Silence.

How many of you took time, last Sunday, to actually listen to and contemplate on what your Pastor preached his sermon on? How do I know you are not seriously listening to his words? And how do I know you are not really giving his sermon more than a passing thought at most?

The answer to those two questions is really quite simple. Logic. If a man won't take the time to contemplate the harm done by modern day health professionals, why would they contemplate the abstracts of heaven, hell, salvation, and damnation? ...

Are we going to be Raptured on March 24th, 2006?

Friday January 27th, 2006

Are we going to be raptured on March 24th, 2006? Could be guys, could be, could for thatmatter be even before March 24th, 2006. Most of us are just too young to really remember much about the wars Israel had with their not very friendly neighbors in the 1940,s, 50's, and 60's. But those wars were short, days, not months or years, and Israel was out manned, out gunned and surrounded in each case, but in each case, God delivered them. And in each case the Israelis gave God the credit and thanks for about ten minutes before pounding each other on the back and printing glowing articles about how they rescued themselves. Meanwhile back here in the States and elsewhere, wherever Bible believing and understanding Christians gathered, they suggested that perhaps, just perhaps that was the time the Lord would rapture His church and start the seven year remodeling project of earth. That my friends and brothers was then, this is now. Guys, these are interesting times and we are about to see history in the making or we, who are truly Born Again Christians, are about to go on one heavenly trip.

Ah, let us get back to health, spiritual, moral and physical.

Monday January 30th, 2006

There are two schools of thought when it comes to how all things came about. The one put forth by satan, his lackeys, his minions and his ilk, is known as the theory of evolution. And of course the correct view, the view articulated to us by the Creator of all things, Christ Jesus: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. ... For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day ... Also, there are two schools of thought on how one attains salvation and eternity with God instead of satan. There is the lie put forth by satan that there are any number of ways to heaven and that if you live a good life you will go to heaven. Then there is the truth as told by God the Son, the Lord God of Creation, Jesus, the Christ: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. ...

Know ye no that thou art the Temple of God?

Wednesday February 1st, 2006

Know ye no that thou art the Temple of God?, Know ye not that the Lord God of Creation dwelleth within thee? And you feed Him big macs? OK, so you won't take care of yourself for the sake of your health and the comfort of your family and those who love you. And you won't take care of yourself in an effort to bankrupt the medical profession. So how about taking care of yourself for the Lord? What say ye, interested in making the home you have offered to the Lord within you, a bit more comfortable? Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. (1 Corinthians 3:16&17 ACP/KJV) Scary isn't it? What if God considers what you are shoving down your throat as destroying His temple? I don't think He is, but then again, I could be wrong. Why not err on the side of safety and feed Him good things instead of big macs, whoppers, and chicken maggots, I mean mcnuggets. ...

How bold are you?

By: Mr. Steve Burzlaff

A couple of weeks ago a headline in the newspapers was: Dad punches out teacher's aide accused of molesting daughter. The country was behind the dad 100% with everyone saying he did what needed to be done. Here is the article from the headline so you can see for yourself. Dad punches out teacher's aide accused of molesting daughterBy MITCH STACY Associated Press TAMPA -- An angry father who marched into a classroom and punched a teacher's assistant in the face said Wednesday he was protecting his 15-year-old daughter, who had accused the man of inappropriately touching her....

But of that day and hour

Monday February 6th, 2006
Over the last few days I have given much thought and prayer to what Jesus meant when He said: But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. (Matthew 24:36 ACP/KJV) I do believe that most take that verse to mean the time of rapture. But, while I am not 100% sure, I'm becoming more and more convinced that what Jesus is referring to is the time the Lord comes back at the end of tribulation. I am becoming more and more convinced that what Jesus is referring to is the time at the end of the seven years of tribulation when He returns, rescues the Saved, and destroys the unsaved. When He causes the anti-Christ and the leader of the one world religion to be cast into the lake of fire and the devil himself into the bottomless pit. (See Revelation 19:11-20:3) First let me state two facts for you. First, we are not in the tribulation period and second, this is not the millennium period either. I will even go so far as to say that those who claim we are in either the tribulation period or the millennium are saying something they don't even believe. For if they did believe it they would not have drivers license, nor would they be buying and selling in the open market. Seems strange to me that the leading proponents of this fallacy not only drive and do business, they accept credit cards and some are even applying for this new identity card that allows them to skip thru the airport without having to submit to searches and the such. ...

Time to pray for me and some young girls.

Wednesday February 8th, 2006
There is a place in Augusta Maine, a place that sits in the shadow of the State Hose and the official residence of the sodomy serving governor of Maine, a place called "Spellbound" Spellbound is a place like "Victoria's Secrets, only worse, the stuff sold there is worse and they use live models. You can go to our search engine, select Christian-news-in-maine.com, put spellbound in the search box and click search, you will read more than you'll ever want to know abut this den of iniquity. But, since the local police, press, and politicians have decided to put profits over morality, Spellbound remains open. This coming Saturday I and a few others will be going there to protest and pray, or maybe pray and protest. As in all cases, where doing the work of the Lord conflicts with the laws of satan and profit, there may be conflict, as such I would ask your prayers. Pray that at least one of these unfortunate, abused, neglected, unsaved girls hears the words spoken, pray that the press will get what happens right, and pray for the safety of all involved. ...

Virtue and Modesty

By Mr. Steve Burzlaff Friday February 10th, 2006
Does God really care how we dress? Yes, He does. He cares about every aspect of our lives. We are called to holiness. Holiness in what we do, what we say, where we go, how we act, how we think, what we listen to, what we read, what we sing, and yes, how we dress. Scripture bears this out. Ephesians 5:8-10, (KJV) ... There are three too's that we need to be aware as husbands and fathers: Too much. "Too much" is flamboyant - dressing like a hooker. The sin is not avoided if a woman uses "gold, pearls, and costly array" in order to look like a higher class of prostitute. In either case, a woman can send immodest signals even when everything is covered. Her immodesty consists not of what she is doing right then, but in what she is promising to do later. The language of her clothing subtly states that, no matter how much clothing there is, it comes off very easily. Too Little. "Too little" means too little covered up, leaving large amounts of cleavage, a vast expanse of thigh, a belly button or midriff that sort of thing open for close examination by strangers. Too often Christians assume that this kind of skin exposure is the only possible "modesty problem." This is not true, but it remains common nonetheless. This immodesty is compounded by girls who wear short skirts and who do not know how to sit like a lady, showing the world what's fore and aft. ...

Why do we expect the press to be honest?

Monday February 13th, 2006
Let me finish that; Why do we expect the press to be honest, when so many Pastors in Maine sit on their backsides and refuse to get involved? Now that I have had a couple of days to calm down I want to tell you about last Saturday. Last Saturday: Every pastor in the Augusta, Maine area was invited to come and be part of a prayer vigil in front of a place that has no reason to exist other than to further the agenda of satan. I and the organizers were expecting between 200 and 1,000 people. Five showed up, not one local Pastor or local church had any representation. We were there to protest a store called SpellBound, it is gutter filth. Yet, the police protect it, the city council and mayor salivate over the tax income and the guy from the press was spellbound by the man in the window wearing nothing but a jockstrap. ...

Stuck on stupid

Wednesday February 15th, 2006
You might remember that back during the height of the Hurricane Katrina fiasco, there was one man who was willing to stand up to the press. Not the President, not the White House press spokesman, certainly not FEMA, or any of the myriad of corrupt, inept fools who have been elected to high office by you and me, no, none of them. It was a Lt. General in the US Army. This Lt. General, whose name escapes me, was holding a news briefing. In the very beginning he told the reporters that he didn't want any questions about what had happened up until that point, he wanted questions about what he and his troops were going to do now that they were there, in force, and ready to get things done. He warned them not to be "stuck on stupid." No sooner were his words out of his mouth than one of the legends in their own minds of the main stream media, asked him a question about what had happened several days before. This question was asked in an obvious attempt at making the President look bad. The General replied by asking the reporter if he had heard what the General had just said and then without waiting for the reporter's reply, he went on to say that he wasn't going to answer that question and telling the reporter "you're stuck on stupid!" Well, as I look around this morning, I have to say that a lot of people are stuck on stupid. We are on the verge of world war three and the press is stuck on an accidental hunting accident in Texas. Again in an obvious attempt to embarrass the President and Vice President. And people put stories about that and the 'news' about Katrina 'victims' who have been sucking the tax payer dry and feel abused because they have to get out of their $150 a day hotel rooms and go find a place to live. They and those waiting for more news about them are Stuck on stupid! But it isn't just the main stream media, the politicians and every last member of the democrat party ...

What is a Glove Affair?

Why you need to either Home School or put your kids in a Christian school. By: Mr. Steve Burzlaff Wednesday February 15th, 2006
I was leaning toward a thought today concerning Vice President Cheney and his hunting incident, but Pastor Bob beat me to it. Although I am reserving a spot in the next couple of weeks to share a more personal incident. As interesting as the vice president is, this subject jumped out at me from a note sent to me by a good friend. Let me warn you up front, some of the language is very graphic, but it is what is happening to our youth and something that we absolutely must fall to our knees and pray about. For years I always thought that growing up in the 1960's I had seen it all and experienced more than I ever wanted to. But this article from a reporter in Los Angles shows just how naive I really am. Here is the link to the article that led me to the non-copyrighted article I have copied below. ...

When you shake the foundation, you crack the building.

Monday February 20th, 2006
The very footing of the Church is Christ, for He is not only the cornerstone, He is That which holds everything else up, in place and binds all together. Then comes the foundation stones of the church, which would be the Apostles and those who minister God's word to the flock from the beginning until the end. The footing upon which the church is built can not be shaken, and satan knows that. The foundation stones can be, and satan knows that as well. The liar of all liars, father of all murderers, satan, knows he cannot take on Jesus. He tried that in Matthew four and Luke four and came out fifth best out of a contest between him and my Lord Jesus. But satan does know he can rattle and shake the foundation stones, the ministers of the Gospel of Christ. You need be neither a historian nor a nuclear scientist to see that shortly after churches leave the guidelines of 1Timothy chapter 3 when it comes to naming Pastors and other leaders of the church, that group then starts allowing women to rule and shortly even allows the ordination of openly practicing homosexuals and lesbians. ...

A little housekeeping and then today's thought.

Monday February 27th, 2006

A little housekeeping and then today's thought.

Monday February 27th, 2006
First, let's do a little housekeeping of questions. Question: Pastor Bob, now that you have been eating healthy and doing alternative health, what works? Answer: What works? OK, here goes. First throw everything out that has corn syrup, refined(white bleached) flour and/ or refined(white) sugar in the ingredients. Next throw out any white sugar you have. If it says refined, dump it. Same with the flour, those things will kill you. Start eating fresh fruit, not the poison in a can stuff, but the fresh off the shelf stuff in your local supermarket or health food grocery store. Then, you need to clean yourself...
OK, let's get to today's thought. Last week we looked at the qualifications of being ordained, and how if we would get back to the requirements outlined by Paul to Timothy, many, if not all, of the problems in today's liberal church of Laodicea would go away. Today we will follow up and study the requirements to be an elder in a Christ fearing, Christ loving, Christ centered church....

How do you know you are in the right church?

Wenesday March 1st, 2006
Last fall I did a thought covering how to interview a Pastor when looking for a solid Christ centered, Christ fearing church (christianpatriot.com/08_17_2005.htm). Today I want to go a step beyond that. How do you know, Scripturally, that you are in the church the Lord wants you in? Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein. ... Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you. (Hebrews 13:7-9&17 ACP/KJV) So, as you read what God dictated to the writer of Hebrews, you will notice that you are to be subject to your Pastor, you are to obey and submit to your pastor. Are you comfortable with your pastor in those respects? Can you call on him, aks his advice, and comply with the advice he has given you? If not, you need to find another church ...

So, what do you think Paul and James would tell you to do?

Friday March 3rd, 2006
Well, looks like the bird flu is on its way to the USA. But not just the USA, Mexico, Canada and everywhere else on this continent. Looks like we are the last to get it, thank God. So what do you do? Well there are two distinctly different schools of thought on what to do. On the one hand you have the medical, media, and political professionals that say get a vaccine shot. They say: fill your body with chemicals, take a pill, go to the pharmacy, ask them what the newest chemical drug they have is and then go to that guy dressed in white with a funny looking listening device hanging around his neck, the guy with a great big smile and bigger bankbook and beg him for a prescription, so you can get some of those chemicals. On the other side are those of us that say, turn to herbs and prayer. Now which do you think Paul would suggest? Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. (1 Timothy 5:23 ACP/KJV) OK, so what would James, the half brother of the Lord Jesus tell you to do? Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (James 5:13&14 ACP/KJV) Those verses would tend to make you want to use something other than a vaccine made with stuff you simply do not want in your body. Cause you to want something natural likewine and prayer, herbs and prayer, herbs, anointing with olive oil and prayer. Not vaccines. But are vaccines and drugs really unbiblical? ...

Can man sin against man or only against God?

Monday March 6th, 2006
A long, long time ago I was asked this question: "Can man sin against man or only against God?" And while I no longer post on that particular chat site, the question has come back on more than one occasion, so today I am going to try and answer it. Can man sin against man or only against God? The quick and simple answer to that is, that you can only sin against God, not yur fellow man. Now, that you know the answer, let's look at the Scripture that makes the answer correct. The Lord's prayer in Matthew 6:10-12 reads: "Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." Yet in Luke 11:3&4 it reads: "Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us." ...

When you don't surrender ALL You will be miserable!

Wednesday March 8th, 2006
By: Rev. Jim Marstaller

The Israelites wandered for 40 years in the wilderness because they did not believe/trust God for the victory He offered in Canaan. Many of those who died, I believe, will be in heaven. The born again experience was pictured in the Passover and crossing the Red Sea. "Faith without works is dead." The Lamb of God sacrificed for the sins of the world ...

Can you be Saved and vote for abortion, homosexuality, the agenda of satan?

Friday March 10th, 2006
Get comfortable, I'm gonna tell you a bit about Maine politics. And how to fix it. In Maine, we, the good guys, the ones who are trying to further the agenda of The Christ, have been losing. Not losing bad, mind you, just losing. We lose by 4%, not a huge amount but enough to make it so that we lose. Back about 7 or 9 years ago we had a referendum vote on the ballot on whether to ban partial birth abortion or not. The "Let's keep partial birth abortion legal and publicly funded" crowd won by 52% to our 48%. Last year we lost a referendum vote on giving homosexuals, Transgender, bisexuals and even perceived sexuality groups special rights, we lost, they got the special rights and are now as protected as the bald eagle. We lost by 4% or so. So, here in Maine the agenda of Christ keeps losing to the agenda of satan by 2-6%, nothing huge, we just loose. ...

Before you say "Lord, use me as Thou wilt."

Read today's thought carefully. Monday March 13th, 2006
I have a friend, well more than a friend, a solid Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian brother, in prison. He is in prison for murder. A murder he did not commit. But he is in prison just the same. About nineteen years ago, Allen and his wife Ginny were happy Christians in Massachusetts, and then one day the Lord seemed to ask them if they would like to go to the rural mountain area of Kentucky. They said "Lord, use me as Thou wilt." So they sold their home, packed up and went to Mount Vernon, Kentucky and there they bought a home, found jobs and then started a ministry, one they founded for themselves, one that they chose. Late spring of 1993, Ginny was brutally murdered, the investigation was sloppy, the defense should have lost their licenses for incompetence, and Allen was sentenced, 12 to life. For the last 12 years Allen has been a model Christian in one of the most horrible Christian ministry areas of the world, a state prison. But God has used him mightily. It is because...

Bird Flu, Homosexuality, Abortion, Adultery, Idolatry...

Let me continue, Bird Flu, Homosexuality, Abortion, Adultery, Idolatry, Evolution, Pornography, Drugs (legal and illegal), is this what the USA now stands for? Is this what our men are fighting to protect? Guys, think about it for a minute. What do you think we, as a nation, project as an image to the rest of the world? Do we project an image of being a God fearing, Christ centered, moral, just, temperate, sober and honest society? Do you know we are the only nation on earth where it is legal to perform a partial birth abortion? Not even China, Russia, and Cuba allow partial birth abortions, only the US of A. Done ...

Quit you like men, be strong!

By: Steve Burzlaff Friday March 17th, 2006
This hymn by Ada R. Greenaway was published in 1916 and based on 1 Corinthians 16:13 (Quit You Like Men, Be Strong) needs to be taken to heart by men today more than ever. Read through it carefully.

Rise at the cry of battle,
Arm for the coming strife,
By night and day you must fight your way
Till you pass through death to life.
Ready to face the danger,
Ready to right the wrong,
There is many a foe on the way you go,
Quit you like men, be strong!

Fiery and fierce the conflict,
Daring and swift the foe;
His hosts are found on the battle ground,
Where they wait to lay you low;
Sharp are his darts and deadly,
Keen is the strife and long,
Then arm for the fight in the armor of light,
Quit you like men, be strong!

Strive till the strife is over,
Fight till the fight is won,
Though sore oppressed, seek not for rest,
Until the day is done;
After the well fought battle
Join in the victor's song,
Your trophies bring to Christ your King,
Quit you like men, be strong!
Now ask yourself, are you ready for the fight? Have you armed yourself...

Basic Fundamental Christianity 101.

Monday March 20th, 2006
First case: Let's say you are some place and suddenly a person you know is dying, heart attack, accident, whatever, but all of a sudden this person is dying. And they know they are dying and they know you are a Christian and they see you and call for you. Then that person says to you: "I'm dying, I'm scared, I don't want to go to hell. What must I do to be Saved?" It is obvious that person will not live another ten minutes, what do you do? Second case: In Paul's first letter to the Corinthians, in chapter ten, he mentions that temptations for sin are not of God. That God is faithful and will always give you an escape route when temptations come. And that God will not allow you to be tempted beyond your ability to deny that temptation. So, what do you do when you are tempted? How do you escape? Third case: You are in a church and the Pastor is about to start the Communion ceremony. He starts it by reading these words: "Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord." What do you do? ...

Let's play Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud.

Monday March 20th, 2006
Ok, it's night time, you've spent a hard day at work, you've just had a great dinner and now you and your wife are sitting down watching Wheel of Fortune. Pat is his usual dry humorous self, Vanna is radiant in blue, green or purple, as Vanna does whatever it is that Vanna does. Not to digress, but Vanna must belong to one strong union. Can you imagine paying someone good money to do whatever it is that Vanna does?
Well anyhow, there you are sitting on the couch, wife curled up beside you, and the excitement is building. With only one space left to fill, the guy has $6,500 all cash, looks over at Pat and says, "I'm gonna spin one more time Pat." And with that he spins, and as the wheel slows it is coming to that space that has $10,000, the one in-between two bankrupts. And just then the phone rings, the caller Id says "Warning Telemarketer!!!" What do you do? Let it ring? Answer it, yell at the caller, and hang up? Or thank God for the call, turn off the TV and answer the phone....

Heal Thyself

Friday March 24th, 2006
Have you ever noticed, that for some reason and in many cases, we cannot heal ourselves? I have seen many healing in my life, many healings that I knew came directly about because of prayer. A few years back, Pastor Warren Feustel and I went to visit his wife who was in a nursing home in the last stages of Parkinson's disease. The nursing home had called and told him that she had developed a severe case of shingles. Now for those who you who did better in science than I, you know that shingles is extremely painful. >Rev. Feustel and I went to the nursing home, anointed his wife with oil, laid our hands on her and prayed over her. Within that self same day, the shingles were gone. We prayed one prayer over and over again for his wife and that was that she would not suffer in pain. ...

How easy it is to drift away.

Monday March 27th, 2006
While I will never compromise on the Word of God or His word, I will never acccept a woman as pastor, elder or in any other position in the church where she would be over the lowest of men. At times it is nice to hear what a woman who has been Born Again since the fall of 1946 has to say. Such a thing happened at our church Sunday morning. Norma has been absent from the church fellowship for a couple of months, she had been very sick. Yesterday she told how hard it was to get back into the habit of getting up, getting ready and coming to church after languishing in bed for so many Sunday mornings while she was ill and even after she started feeling better, lazy but better. I started thinking about what Norma said and had to agree. While I never wish to avoid doing the...

If only Pontius Pilate were the Governor of Kentucky.

Wednesday March 29th, 2006
Why would I want to see a man like Pontius Pilate as the Governor of Kentucky? There are very few I have ever met or spoken to in Kentucky that I would recommend for crucifixion. On the other hand the halls of Government in Augusta, Maine have more than a few that while not seeking the cross are in fact seeking the lake of fire. But we will save that for another day. Today I want to talk about a good trait Pontius Pilate had.

Resisting Temptation

By: Mr. Steve Burzlaff Friday March 31th, 2006
Luke 4:1-2A (KJV). And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil.Have you ever had one of those wonderful days when everything seems to go just fine. Life is really clicking for you and then suddenly your thoughts change to something vile and evil? Do you wonder why this is happening to you? Do you wonder if it happens to others? Rest assured you are not the first to have this happen to and will not be the last. Don't worry, it doesn't mean that you have failed spiritually. As we read in Luke 4, Christ was tempted by satan and did not succumb to him. He met satan face-to-face and came out the victor. We can use the His victory as an example for overcoming our own temptations....

Let's take a few minutes to ponder God.

April 3rd, 2006
As many of you know, a dear brother in the Lord is up for parole tomorrow. As a result I have spent some time in prayer, asking the Lord to turn Allen loose. I have also had some time to ponder the power of God. Pondering God is much of how I will spend tomorrow as I take the day to pray and fast for Allen's release. And once again I would urge all of you to join me. Can God get Allen out? Even if all of the members of the parole board are opposed, yes, God can get Allen out. Let's take some time to ponder this God of ours. The very first verse in the Bible tells us how all mighty and powerful our God is: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Have you ever thought about that one sentence. It literally says it all. God created everything, so He owns everything. Everything. Not only did God create everything and therefore owns everything, everything obeys His very voice. ...

...so are My ways higher than your ways...

April 5th, 2006
In the last day or so I have received some sad news. Not only has my dear brother in the Lord, Dr. Allen Gilpatrick, been denied his parole but Paul, the son in law of Dr. Kent Hovind, died of cancer. I had prayed for Paul to be healed and Allen to be released, yet God chose to allow just the opposite of my prayers to be done. And while the consolation for Melissa, Dr. Hovind, Mrs. Hovind and family is that Paul is with the Lord, with Allen I have a hard time finding consolation. Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto Me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto Me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David. ...

Lord, teach me to live by prayer

By Mr. Steve Burzlaff April 7th, 2006
After all that Janice and I and others to include Allen have gone through recently, I think we all need a lesson in prayer at times. Here is one that I put together and have been using in trying to adjust my prayers to something more meaningful. I know this not very long, but this is something the Lord has placed on my heart in the past few weeks. Lord, teach me to live by prayer as well as by Your providence, for myself, for my soul, for my body, for my family, for my church. Give me a heart that is framed by Your will so I will live in constant prayer and honor to You as You keep me and defend me from all evils both know and unknown....

Nothing, not a thing, changes till all things are fulfilled.

April 10th, 2006
Often time the following verses taken from Romans is viewed as only referring to homosexuals. Not so, it is also referring to any and all who meet the criteria the Lord, through His Apostle Paul, is describing. For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. ...

Look, forget the denominational garbage, your salvation is your responsibility!

April 12th, 2006
It never ceases to amaze me at some of the junk I receive in the mail. I'm not talking about the stuff from stores and credit card companies. I'm talking about junk I get from those who are supposed to be Born Again Christians. Let me start by saying this again. I am not responsible for your salvation, you are. Every man woman and child on earth is responsible for their own salvation. If you think you are going to stand before God on judgment day, that is the micro second after you take your last breath, and He says to you: "Why should I let you into My heaven?" If you think a response like: "Well Lord, I read this book and in it, it said that what I really needed to do was ignore Jesus and go straight to You" or "Well Lord, it's like this, I was kinda busy with my life and I never found the time to really go to church or read my Bible or even give You much thought, but, I tried to live a good life" will get you into heaven, you have a sad awakening awaiting you. Guys, yesterday I received a book and a couple of tabloid newspapers in the mail. I received them from a friend, a man whom I know has heard the Gospel and the plan of salvation, because I did his mother's funeral. And he was at that funeral. But now he seems to be trying to put his books, written by men, not even good commentary, into my hands. They are just plain blasphemous books designed to ridicule and start fires. Let me give you a quote, according to the book he sent me: "Easter; this word has been adopted from the pagans as an attempt to 'inculturate' by syncretism a behavior that is absolutely an abomination." Earthday, pretty near the first holiday, maybe even the first holiday.

Monday April 24th, 2006
While some think of earth day as a way to celebrate the false gods of the earth, the truth is, Earthday is really over 6,417 years old. Let us look at the first Earthday, so very long ago. A day God recorded in His Book, the Holy Bible. SPAN STYLE="font-size: 14pt">Genesis Chapter One STRONG> In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.... The first Earthday. Funny how today, instead of us having dominion over the earth, there are some amongst us who would have us worship the earth. Instead of using the plenteous supplies of oil and other fuels God has given us, there are many, the majority it seems, in the US Senatewho would put the supposed possible dangers to the earth or an animal, bird or reptile ahead of our being warm this coming winter. How very sad, how very sad indeed. For as the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus has told us through the pen of his Apostle Paul:...

Only we ourselves can separate ourselves from the Christ.

Wednesday April 26th, 2006
As you read this, somewhere in the world a Christian is being lead to be either tortured or executed. He or she will be raped, beaten, tortured and slowly killed unless they deny the Christ. But, what about us here in the USA? How about those in England, France and throughout the rest of Europe? Are we tortured for Christ? Are we raped for the Lord? Are we killed for His name? Yet as the true body of believers grows and grows throughout the persecuted Christian world, here in the USA and throughout Europe, the Christ is denied without the trace of or even the hint of torture, persecution, rape or death. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? for He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? ...

"Lieutenant, take your men and secure the swamp."

Monday May 1st, 2006
How often we hear folks say things like: "Why did God allow this to happen?" or "Where was God while this was going on?". God Himself has given us an answer to those questions and the millions more like them, His answer is: Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. (Isaiah 55:6-9 ACP/KJV) So what does it mean? I know the words, but how do we put it in perspective today? How do we put it in some kind of context that we can understand today? I think I have the answer to that. Let me tell you a story about a young man, not so young now, but he was young during the beginning of the Vietnam era. This young man had joined the USMC in the early 60's, his father had served with many of the men this young man would met in his one and only tour of duty. One of the men his father had served with back in world war two was at that time a Gunnery Sargent, another was a Colonel. Many times, in off duty hours, the young Lieutenant, the Gunny and the Colonel ...

Happy Birthday

By: Steve Burzlaff Friday May 5th, 2006
Today is my birthday. 56 years ago yesterday my dad drove my mom to Wheatland General Hospital and at 1:04 AM on May 5, 1950, I arrived on the scene. Just the words Wheatland General Hospital bring back memories. The hospital was owned and operated by the only physician in town, Dr James G. Allison. He operated it until the county built a hospital in 1956. I remember the closing of the hospital and tearing it down for a new Safeway grocery store. It seemed like part of me went with those old bricks. God gave me the best two parents possible. They were not Bible thumping Christians, but rather very conservative and laid back believers. My grandparents were Lutheran, my parents were Lutheran and that was the denomination I was raised in. I won't say I have fond memories of my early church life, as I did not. I tolerated going to confirmation class one afternoon a week for two years in order to be "confirmed" on my 12th birthday. Looking back on those days now, I am glad I had the opportunity to experience them. I do not agree with denominational teachings and beliefs now, and therefore attend a interdenominational church. ...

The Muslims have a saying...

Monday May 8th, 2006
Yes, the muslims do indeed have a saying and it should throw a cold chill down the back of every believing Christian. It goes like this: "First the Saturday people and then the Sunday people." What they are saying is that first they are to eliminate all the Jews and then eliminate all the Christians. Just like Adolph Hitler, and his Nazi party, so is the so called religion of peace, the religion of Islam, Muslims. First eliminate the Jews then eliminate the Christians. Now, why should that worry us? Why should it give us any concern at all? For after all, for those of us who are truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, death is not the end, but the beginning of life eternal with the Lord God of Creation, the Eternal One, the God of the Universe, Christ Jesus. But, are you truly Saved? Are you a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian? Some will say, "Only God knows." Others will say, "Sure I am." But are you really sure? And what about all your friends and kin who are not true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians? ...

Prayer requests for ChristianPatriot.com

by Rev. Jim Marstaller, Pastor Cornerstone Gospel Church, Naples, Maine Wednesday May 10th, 2006
Please pray for the salvation of Julie, Martha, David Babins, Danny, Sean, Jean, Ricky and their families. Rev. Celeste and Pastor Jim will be traveling from Maine to Ohio for a pastors' conference. Pray for safety in travel, God's leading in applying the Scripture, and for the safety of family 'left behind': Cecily, Myra, Malia, and Jonathan. Pray for the Creation ministries of Kent Hovind and Ken Ham. Dr. Hovind's son-in-law recently went home to Heaven - pray as they journey through the grief process to the place of a "song in the night." Welcome back Focus on the Family.

Friday May 12th, 2006
Well today I would like to announce that I have put the link to Focus on the Family back up on ChristianPatriot.com's link page. As many of you know, I take the Word of God and His word very seriously, and oft times that makes me a little like a bull in a china shop. For those of you too young to understand that saying, "a bull in a china shop", go ask your grandparents, they'll explain it to you. But anyhow, I get really upset when anyone takes God's literal word and changes it, and at times, I may even over react. When I do, it is best to leave me alone and eventually I'll come around. This is one of those times.

Back, oh four or five months ago, maybe longer, I had contacted Dr. Dobson on his interpretation of the word "day" in the Genesis account of creation. I got a spokesman, not Dr. Dobson. That in itself annoyed me to no end, and probably clouded my judgement. See, I let pride get in the way too. This spokesperson told me that Dr. Dobson did not believe in a literal 24 hour day, that Dr. Dobson didn't think the world was created in six literal 24 hour days. ...

Not adapt the Gospel, but we adapt to present the Gospel.

Tuesday May 16th, 2006
Not many years ago the most oft used, most oft memorized, most oft quoted verse of Scripture was: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 ACP/KJV) Not only was it used, memorized, quoted and preached, it was used, memorized, quoted and preached in proper context. Yet today, the most quoted verse is: Judge not, that ye be not judged. (Matthew 7:1 ACP/KJV). That in itself would not be all that bad, but, it is not only used without context, it is twisted so as to more easily used out of context. Most often like this: "Judge not lest ye be judged." or "Judge not so that you won't be judged." Paul, in First Corinthians chapter six, helps us put Matthew 7:1 in proper context. Let's go there....

We don't have enough non Christians right here in the USA?

Monday May 22nd, 2006
Well, looks like it is short term mission season again, yup, the Evangelical Christian communities have their track shoes on, their "support me" spiels in order and are preparing to reach out to India, China, Indonesia, and other places far, far away. Judging from the number of folks wanting to leave the USA and go far, far away in search of the unsaved, you would almost think we didn't have any unsaved right here in the good ole USA. Not to mention our northen and southern neighbors. Did you know that in 1990 the Muslim count here in the USA was under five million, and by the 2000 census, it was over seven million. The Muslim population in the US grew at over 40% while the US population as a whole grew at only 13%. Did you know that out of 295,734,134 people right here in the USA more than 90%, by their own admission, are not born again Christians. And that less than 3% of the US population goes to an Evangelical Christian Church that preaches salvation by what Jesus did on the cross. That means that there are some 286,862,109.98 people out there within the borders of the fifty states that need to hear about Jesus. 286,862,109.98 people in the USA that need to get saved. 286,862,109.98 people in the USA that need to know that what Jesus did on the cross was...

There is one thing that all who are truly saved share.

Tuesday May 23rd, 2006
When you think about it, there is one thing that all who are truly Saved share, and that one thing is a hunger for God's Holy Word. Show me a guy who is truly Saved and I'll show you a guy who spends time in his Bible. But how many of us actually try to memorize more than a verse or two? And, now that I mention it, should you even bother? After all, we here in the USA have the privilege of having as many Bibles as we want and for the most part have them on tape, CD and even on our computers. So why memorize more than a verse or two? Well, in Amos chapter Eight, God gives us one really good reason: Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. (Amos 8:11&12 ACP/KJV) ...

So, you have planted your garden, want to know how to make it grow?

Wednesday May 24th, 2006
OK, tis spring time and either your garden is in or you've plans to put it in shortly. Did you know that God has a method to literally guarantee that your garden will be successful? He does, but first let's see how you're doing with our first memory verses. From Yesterday: Deuteronomy 6: 4&5 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Ok, now let's get to the perfect plan for a perfect garden. And for that matter, God's perfect plan to assure your farm animals and fowls are fruitful as will be your wife, sons and daughters. ...

Memorial Day Weekend

by Mr. Steve Burzlaff Wednesday May 24th, 2006
Webster's Dictionary describes the word MEMORIAL as "something that keeps remembrance alive". Memorial Day was originally known as Decoration Day because it was a time set aside to honor the nation's Civil War dead by decorating their graves. It was first widely observed on May 30, 1868, to commemorate the sacrifices of Civil War soldiers, by proclamation of General John A. Logan of the Grand Army of the Republic, an organization of former sailors and soldiers. On May 5, 1868, Logan declared in General Order No. 11 that: The 30th of May, 1868, is designated for the purpose of strewing with flowers, or otherwise decorating the graves of comrades who died in defense of their country during the late rebellion, and whose bodies now lie in almost every city, village, and hamlet churchyard in the land. In this observance no form of ceremony is prescribed, but posts and comrades will in their own way arrange such fitting services and testimonials of respect as circumstances may permit. John 15:13 (KJV) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends....

Memorial Day, in the year of our Lord, 2006 AD.

Monday May 29th, 2006
Last Friday, Steve started his weekend thought like this: "Webster's Dictionary describes the word MEMORIAL as "something that keeps remembrance alive". It was first widely observed on May 30, 1868, to commemorate the sacrifices of Civil War soldiers, by proclamation of General John A. On May 5, 1868, Logan declared in General Order No. 11 that: ...Today I would like to leave the arena of warrior and memorialize something else that has died in the USA, modesty....

Preach the Gospel to every creature.

Tuesday May 30th, 2006

In Mark chapter 16 verse 15 Jesus said: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." How many times I have printed that verse? Well today it is here again, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Am I suggesting that you pack up and go out into the world do as Jesus has commanded you? Of course I am, not because I expect you to, but because I like being a repetitious old fool. Never ceases to amaze me how so many Christians will obey the government, obey the rules at work, but when it comes to the rules of God, His rules, His orders, well seems as many simply say, "Give me the perks but don't ask me to raise a finger for the Lord, why hey don't aI put ten bucks a week in the collection plate?" But some listen, some actually take the word of God seriously. And today I am going to briefly introduce you to one such man and ask you to keep him in your prayers while he is gone...

One day your daughter will say "Daddy, meet..."

Wednesday May 3st, 2006
Today's thought is for men who have, expect to have, or pray to have a daughter or two. You know, one day that little girl of yours is going to meet a boy, a boy she falls head over heals in love with and thinks she wants to marry. Or one day some boy is going to come up and ask you if he can date your daughter. And Hamor communed with them, saying, "The soul of my son Shechem longeth for your daughter: I pray you give her him to wife." (Genesis 34:ACP/KJV) So, while I don't have any daughters, Pastor Jim Marstaller does. One day while we were discussing boys, girls, and marriage, he told me that when it came time for his daughter to start thinking boys, he had a few questions to ask the boy before he could take his daughter out. He has been kind enough to let me have his list and I have been kind enough to share it with you all....

His mom said to her "might I have a word with you?"

Friday June 2nd, 2006
Two days ago we looked at the questions a father should ask any and all young men coming to seek the hand of his daughter. Today we shall look at the questions a mother should ask each and every young lady seeking the hand of her son. These questions will help you know if she is truly a young lady. For remember, all are born either male or female and they grow up to be young men and young women. However, not all become young gentlemen and young ladies. That is determined by behavior.First of all just what are you looking for in a bride for your son? Well Proverbs 31:10-28 has a pretty good description, so let's take a minute to look at it before we proceed to the 52 questions.Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. ...

My 401(k) is better than you can imagine, I have the best 401(k) imaginable.

Monday June 5th, 2006
Do you know that there are so many stars that all they can do is estimate the number? That it would be literally impossible to count them all? Why for that matter, we can't even see them all, not even with the Hubble telescope. According to NASA's Laura Whitlock , when asked how many stars there are, she said: "Very good question! There are too many stars for scientists to actually count one-by-one, so other methods of estimating the total number of stars are used. We believe that there are on the order of10 to the 21st, power stars in our Universe. If you write that number out, it looks like this: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. This is a lot of stars!" Now I have no idea what you call a number like that, but, I do know that there are about 6 billion people on earth and when you divide 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars by 6,000,000,000 people on earth, you get about 167 billion stars for every man, woman, and child on earth. Now that is a lot of stars per person. ...

Let your Yeas be Yeas and your Nays be Nays.

Tuesday June 6th, 2006
I want to take a minute to cover a problem that seems to be one that I share with a lot of you. The problem of losing one's patience or temper. We all know that when we say yes to a request, that the Lord expects us to be faithful in doing what ever it was that we agreed to do. As do we know that when we say no, we are to mean no and that the answer remains no. But what about losing your patience? There is a little gem near the end of the Bible. It is the epistle written by Jude, the half brother of our Lord Jesus. Much can be gleaned from this little book, much indeed. Not the least of which is the handling of one's temper. Let's look:...

If you are Saved, you must obey Leviticus 19: 13!

Wednesday June 7th, 2006
Let me ask you a question. That is assuming you are a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian. If the Lord were to rapture His church right this very moment, how many unsaved people would you be leaving behind owing money? Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another. And ye shall not swear by My name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning. ...

I wonder if David was thinking of our US Senate when he penned Psalm 109?

Whew, looks like we made it past the infamous 6/6/06. But, on 6/7/06 many in the US Senate, not the least of which are the two from Maine, seemed determined, once again, to give ole 666 one more small victory. For yesterday Maine's infamous duo, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins joined with the Democrat minority in turning back an effort to amend the Constitution of the United States to make only the marriage of one man to one woman legal. But that isn't surprising, Snowe, after all has a 100% pro-abortion and pro-homosexual voting record while Collins has a 99.5% pro-abortion voting record and a 100% pro-homosexual voting record. Could the Holy Spirit have been thinking of these two when He lead David to pen Psalm 109? Maybe, but I prefer to think that when the Holy Spirit looked down the road and saw the US Senate in the 20th and 21st centuries He more than likely urged David to pen Psalm 95. So, while Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe sit on the US Senate doing the work of furthering the goals and agenda of satan, let us, as Christians, not focus on thinking of them as if Psalm 109 were written about them. No, let us instead focus on ...

One more reason to belong to a good solid Christ centered church.

Thursday June 8th, 2006
Please note, Cecily is a little to close to this one to proof read it, so if you find any grammatical errors, please let me know and I'll fix them. Yesterday at six in the morning our phone rang. My wife and I both know that at six in the morning, on a Sunday, it is one of two things, either a wrong number or very bad news. Unfortunately this time it was the right number with very bad news. It was our oldest son Danny. He told us that a half hour from his home in Western Albuquerque, New Mexico there had been a terrible accident and that his wife Theresa was dead. To our shocked "What?", Danny told us that his wife and two of his three daughters had been driving back from Maryland where they had been visiting his other-in-law, Stacy the seventeen year old was driving when the baby dropped a toy on the floor of the back seat. Stacy, not wanting to wake her mom, reached back to pick up the toy and lost control of the Explorer. He went on and told us that three year old Kelly was fine and at home, Stacy was in the hospital with what appeared to be non-live threatening internal njuries, but that Theresa had died at the scene. ...

Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim.

Thursday June 13th, 2006

Yesterday we talked about the tragic death of my daughter-in-law Theresa.
Today let's talk discuss Sha'al shalowm Yruwshalaim. A look at the news, whether it be local, state, national or world tells you that things are coming apart. US Marines who have not even been charged are treated worse by the US Government than muslim terrorist prisoners.

Israel is on the verge of extinction if the democrats in this country and their allies in the middle east have their way. Here at home, teachers and text books continue to tell the lie of evolution, even though they know it is a lie, but, since they have nothing to replace it with, and to them, even a lie is better than giving the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus, even a hint of credit for creating them and the world. In the last two days more babies in the USA were offered up to satan as blood sacrifices through the legal and police protected slaughter called abortion than people outside the womb died during the infamous satanic attack on September 11th, 2001 and the total military deaths fighting the war on terrorism since 911. ...

Emergency Prayer Request.

Sunday June 18th, 2006
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: (2Th 3:1) Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly. (Heb 13:18) Gentlemen, we are in a situation where we can only rely upon the Lord Christ Jesus. Please pray that the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus will surround Danny, Kelly, Cecily, I, Sean and Diane with angels with flaming swords, allowing them to use what ever force is necessary to protect us. Thank you, the Lord Jesus be with you all, amen....

All are warriors!

Sunday June 21th, 2006
Gentlemen, we are at war. Not a war of the US against world wide terrorism, but a war of good verses evil, the forces of Christ verses the forces of evil. My brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Pray that I might put on the whole armour of God, that I may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For I wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Be faithful prayer warriors that I may be able to put on the whole armour of God, that I may be able to withstand, in this evil day, and doing so may be able to stand at the end of this day. ...

provoke not your children to wrath

Monday June 26th, 2006
Before we get into today's thought, I want to thank all of you for praying. I have thought and I have pondered, I have tried and tried, but I can think of no way to explain the strange and dangerous circumstances that led me to beseech all of you to pray for the safety of my family and myself. But now, praise the living God and thanks to your prayers, Geoff and Mary are safely at home in Vermont, Sean and Diana are safely home in Portland, Maine, Danny and his three year old daughter Kellie are safely home in New Mexico. And praise God, Cecily and I are safely out of Maryland. As I write this, we are camped at Candy Cane, a Christian Campground right outside of Cuba, Missouri, over two thirds of the way to New Mexico. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4 ACP/KJV) A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him. (Proverb 17:25 ACP/KJV) Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying. (Proverb 19:18 ACP/KJV) He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. (Proverb 13:24 ACP/KJV) Satan has done a good job in replacing the instructions of child rearing by God with the garbage of Dr. Spock and other "never spank your child" fools. But, then again, it is clear to all who read God's word that satan hates God, he hates us and he hates with a passion...

Is it only the evolutionists who are willingly ignorant?

Thursday June 29th, 2006
As I was driving across the country, I came across a lot of things that reminded me of Second Peter chapter three: This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both(epistle) which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, ... As you read and study the prophetic warning given by God thru His servant and Apostle Peter, you can see that it is not just the evolutionist who is willingly ignorant, or as Dr. Kent Hovind says, "willingly stupid". ...

Why the political parties will never support me for President.

Saturday July 1st, 2006
Have you ever really sat down and thought to yourself why it is that neither the Republican party or the Democrat party would ever support a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian who would not only take his oath of office seriously, but would also turn to God and His book, the Holy Bible for comfort and instructions on how best to perform his duties. Well, I'm not going to beat you to death with a whole bunch of reasons. I'm simply going to focus on how I and any other true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians would fight this war on terrorism. The Democrats would have us put our tail between our legs, make like the French and wave a white flag of surrender. The Republicans would have us fight a politically correct war where no one gets hurt, and any of our troops who are accused by the enemy of anything gets court-martialed, hung out to dry, and then lined up against a wall and...

Does Scripture answer everything? YES!!!

Wednesday July 5th, 2006
Let's look at two articles in the news and see if Scripture does indeed answer every question. The big news on this morning's Drudge report is that Former Enron CEO Ken Lay is dead, and that he died of a heart attack. And Jesus said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. And He spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, 'What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?' And he said, 'This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.' ...
The biggest article on Debka is that with all that is going on in Israel, with all out war between Israel and her heathen satan worshiping islamic neighbors, Washington and the Bush administration are silent. And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. ...

A hard saying then. Hard to understand today?

Thursday July 6th, 2006
One of the least discussed of the verses of Scripture spoken by Jesus is found in John chapter six. As you read it, I want you to try and put yourself in the audience. Try to picture yourself sitting there in the synagogue in Capernaum, listening as Jesus spoke these words. Then Jesus said unto them: Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but My Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He(Jesus) which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.... Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead. This (Yeshua) is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.I am the Living Bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this Bread, he shall live for ever: and the Bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world....

Dressing modestly to please the Lord

Friday July 7th, 2006 By: Mr. Steve Burzlaff
As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion. Proverbs 11:22 (KJV)
Modesty is probably one of the most controversial hot button topics among today's Christians. I have to ask "why is something that God commanded in Scripture questioned by His people?" We need to stop and ask how this great nation could have gone so far into the path of sinfulness in such a short period of time. At the turn of the last century women would have been arrested for wearing what women commonly wear to worship services today. Before you get turned off by the thought of legalism, let's read a little about what God has to say about the topic:...

Krima: judgement, damnation, condemnation...

Monday July 10th, 2006
In first Corinthians chapter eleven verse 29 there is a word. In the King James it's translated damnation, in some other versions it is translated as condemnation or judgement. All are right, yet none gives the full importance or meaning of this word, the word is krima. Krima: a decision (the function or the effect, for or against ("crime")):--avenge, condemned, condemnation, damnation, + go to law, judgment. Over the years I have repeatedly told you many things, two of which are, the importance of reading the Bible yourself and that your salvation is completely up to you. Why are these two things so important? Look at Hebrews 9:27 and think about it for a minute. You are going to be judged immediately upon your physical death, you and you alone, you all alone. I am not going to be standing there with you, nor is your pastor, your spouse, kids or lawyer. Just you and God. And at that judgement, there are no fines handed out, there are but two possible sentences, life eternal in paradise with the Lord or life eternal in the lake of fire with satan. ...

Get comfortable, this may take a while.

Wednesday July 12th, 2006
Today I am going to use a lot of Scripture. I am going to start with second Corinthians and then go to Jeremiah chapter two. The point is twofold. One is to show you that, you ignore God's words and warnings at your own peril, regardless of whether you are an individual, a family, a company, city, state, country or world. The other is to show you that when you disagree with God, you are calling Him a liar. Let's start with "you ignore God's words and warnings at your own peril". The quickest and easiest verse to use to demonstrate that point is John 3:3. "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." To ignore God's words in John 3:3 is to condemn yourself to all eternity in the lake of fire. Now let's look at the second point which is: "when you disagree with God, you are calling Him a liar". Look, if at noon time in broad daylight I tell you that it is midnight, regardless of how you correct me, you are none the less calling me a liar. You are telling me that I am lying to you because I'm telling you it is night when it is day. Well, the easiest verses to use to demonstrate this point are all of the verses in Genesis chapter one verse one to Genesis chapter two verse three where the word "day" is used. God says He created the earth, the heavens and everything in them and on them in six literal 24 hour days and that He rested on the seventh literal 24 hour day. For anyone to disagree with that is to call God a liar. ...

"Please, don't hurt him"

Thursday July 13th, 2006
Soon it will be fall in Maine and the woods are full of animals preparing for winter. They are stocking up and fattening up for what they know will be a cold hard six months of winter. The animals getting fat include bears, wolves, coyotes, and cougars. In 1993 Mr. Richard Moore of Allentown, Pennsylvania shot a 608 pound black bear in Patten, Maine. In 2003 a 500 pounder was taken with a bow in Bethel, Maine. So wandering around in the woods of Maine can get interesting to say the least.

Once upon a time there was a man walking through the woods of Maine. He was being quiet because he was praying as he walked. As he came around a corner he could see the back side of a huge black bear standing upright with hair bristling. Looking past the bear he could see a young mother and her toddler thirty or forty feet beyond the bear and obviously the object of the bear's attention. ...

Ah, baking bread or flatulence in an elevator.

Saturday July 15th, 2006
It is hard for us at times, to put into prospective, life eternal in heaven versus life eternal in the lake of fire. God does a great job in His book, the Holy Bible explaining how horrible eternal damnation is and how absolutely wonderful life eternal with Him, the Son and the Holy Ghost will be in heaven. But still, for many, it is beyond comprehension and they look for a simpler method of comparison. Right on 1,974 years ago when God walked the earth as the God/Man, Jesus, He used the common terms and expressions of the day. When He wanted to use and illustration, He used examples of things of that day, so that all could understand Him, although as we all know, most choose to ignore His teachings and, like today stay in their sin. Well, today, while not trying to play Jesus, but to try and copy His style, I am going to try and get you to, using things common to us today, to understand the difference between Life eternal with God and life eternal in the lake of fire with the chief architect and inventor of abortion, satan. ...

Words have meanings.

Monday July 17th, 2006
Yes, Words have meanings, but in Hebrew so do the letters of the alphabet. Let me give you an example if I may. In Hebrew, the name allah is spelled with the thee letters alef, lamed, and heh. Yet it is pronounced allah. But what do the three letters mean? The letter alef means "to curse", the letter lamed means "to lie" and the third letter heh means "to lament". You might bear in mind that the Hebrew language has been around a lot longer than mohammed, the supposed prophet of allah. Hebrew may have been the original language, and if so, is it not ironic that the original language defined the name of the god of those who hate the Jews and Christians allah, he who curses, lies and laments? I'm not going to get into prophecy today, but for those of you who have been keeping up with the news in the mid east, prophecy should be on the tip of your minds. Israel is once again under attack by the forces of evil, the forces of those who serve he who is known to be the one who curses, lies and laments. And now it seems that while the US is already a major player in the conflict, Russia now wants a piece of the war action as well. ...

He that created the ear, shall He not hear? He that created the eye, shall He not see?

Tuesday July 18th, 20 06
Do we on earth really think we can do things unbeknown to Jesus? Do we really think that we can avoid His knowing what is going on? Do we think that He who created the tongue and mind can not give answers and thoughts to His own? Back in the nineties the US Military was ordered by the infamous child abuser, William Jefferson Clinton, not to address such immoral behaviour as abortion and homosexuality from a negative Christian Biblical perspective. They were further ordered not to preach absolute rights and wrongs or that salvation comes only thru what Christ did on the cross and His blood. Wise military Chaplains found online Christian sites they could recommend to those searching for answers about those issues that they were prohibited from speaking the truth about. Today the IRS is threatening churches of all persuasions about being too political in their eyes. From today's online Washington Times:...

Are You Ready?

Wednesday July 19th, 2006
Most of us are just too young to really remember much about the wars Israel had with her not very friendly neighbors in the 1940,s, 50's, and 60's. But those wars were short - days, not months or years, and Israel was out manned, out gunned and surrounded in each case, but in each case, God delivered them. Guys, these are interesting times and we are about to see history in the making or we, who are truly Born Again Christians, are about to go on one heavenly trip. ...

So, what will satan do now?

Tuesday July 25th, 2006
So, what will satan do now? With war in the Middle East escalating every day, what do you think satan has in mind? While I have no doubts that satan reads and ponders Scripture, he is trying to do it without that aid, assistance, and Devine guidance of the Holy Spirit. Therefore he is bound to make some serious mistakes. And example of his mistakes is that he thinks that if he can get rid of all the Jews worldwide he can interfere with God's prophecy of having a 144,000 male Jewish virgins as evangelist during tribulation. And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb (Jesus) stood on the mount Zion, and with Him a hundred forty and four thousand, having His Father's name written in their foreheads. ...

...how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah?

Wednesday July 26th, 2006
If I were giving advice to the Israeli government, my first bit of advice would be for them to read Hosea chapter eleven.

And while I would not tell them, I think I will first explain to you, just what Admah is or better yet was. For to not know what Admah was is to be lost to the dire warning that God is giving in Hosea eleven. And there went out the king of Sodom, and the king of Gomorrah, and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (the same is Zoar;) and they joined battle with them in the vale of Siddim; (Genesis 14:8 ACP/KJV) ...

Thank God for Olympia, the queen of infanticide, Snowe.

Wednesday July 26th, 2006
You have got to be saying "Thank God for Olympia, the queen of infanticide, Snowe."? Why in the world would I suggest we thank God for the likes of Olympia, the queen of infanticide, Snowe? The reason I suggest to you that you Thank God for Olympia, the queen of infanticide, Snowe, my brothers and sisters, is really quite simple. I like many of you and the Apostle John, often pray the Lord will return and gather His church unto Himself. In the year 55AD, the blessed Apostle Paul wrote: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: and According as He hath chosen us in Him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: for Having predestinated us unto the adoption as His children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved. ...

Monday July 31st, 2006
Scripture tells us that one day the disciples of the Lord Jesus came to Him saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" And Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in My name receiveth Me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (Matthew 18:1b-6 ACP/KJV) I got this as an e-mail from my dear sister in the Lord, Joyce Boos. It is not about her brother, she received it from another and sent it on to me. A better story to explain the above Scripture would be hard to find. ...

Why is it that when your boss speaks, yet when Jesus speaks...

Tuesday August 1st, 2006
Why is it that when your boss speaks you go out of your way to do it exactly the way he or she says. Yet when Jesus speaks you pick and choose what you want to obey and even then come up with new convoluted meanings of words so as to avoid doing what He tells you to do. Today I want you to get serious and do something different, read what Jesus said, don't try to change the meanings of words, just read what He said and get something through your head. While Jesus loves you much more than anyone else, He is also Just. And as such is totally unwilling to bend His own rules. After all, He already came down from heaven and shed His Blood as the perfect and only acceptable sin offering to Himself for you, and all mankind. How unwilling is God to bend His own rules? Ask Adam and Eve. One rule, they broke it and we, their descendants, have been paying for it ever since. So, this time instead of second guessing and picking and choosing, let us just read what Jesus had to say and do it as if it was a personal e-mail to you from the president of disciplinary actions of the company you work for. Dear, fill in your name: ...

Take God's Word and His word seriously.

Thursday August 3rd, 2006
We are going to continue to take a fresh new look at God's word, not as we would like it to be, but as it is. We are going to read it literally and not as some, including most of us, would like it to read. I are doing this series in an effort to help us all, myself included, understand that God said what He meant, meant what He said, and said it just the way He meant it. I am doing this series in an effort for you and I to understand that since God created all things, including you and me, He owns all things, including you and me, and has complete and absolute authority to do with His creations, including you and me, whatever He chooses to. He also can and will judge us, not by the standards we would like of set, but by His standards, His rules and regulations. On Tuesday I started the thought like this: ...

By hearing they shall hear but not understand

Friday August 4th, 2006
We are going to continue looking at what Jesus said, and we are going to continue reading the Words of the Lord literally. Today as we read Matthew chapter thirteen, do not read between the lines, just stop for a minute and ask the Holy Spirit for help. And then read what is written just the way it is written. Don't read between the lines, don't add definitions to words to water down their meaning, and don't expect to feel proud of yourself when you get done.Matthew Chapter Thirteen 1 The same day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the sea side. 2 And great multitudes were gathered together unto Him, so that He went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. 3 And He spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: ...

Stop spinning your wheels and beating a dead horse

Monday August 7th, 2006
Today we are going to continue taking God's word and as a result God's Word seriously and literally. Today we are going to look at what it says Scripturally about spending your entire life evangelizing one heathen, one unbeliever or as Paul says, one infidel. Let us start with what Jesus said: Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. ...

So who is restraining the press?

Tuesday August 8th, 2006
Funny thing is happening on cnn, fox news, msnbc, the nytimes, the infamous portland press herald and all the other left wing anti-Christ, anti-Christian, anti-USA, anti-Israel *drive by media sources. They are not putting 100% of the blame, for world war three, on the USA and Israel. This is nothing short of amazing. While they certainly can not be construed as being honest or objective, and they have certainly failed to condemn those who started this war, they are not ranting and raving about it all being Israel and George Bush's fault. The question is who is restraining these forces of evil? Well, let's first look at who it cannot be. It cannot be anyone in our Government, for after all over half our public servants are left wing anti-Christ, anti-Christian, anti-USA, and anti-Israel. It can't be anyone in the press, for the press is to messed up and dishonest, that to have any one part of the press be able to dictate to the worldwide press would be next to impossible. It certainly is not coming from the pulpit, nor can it be coffee amen and his un lackeys. So, who is it? The "who is it" has to be one of two entities, it has to be either the Holy Spirit or the satan via the anti-Christ. How do we know it has to be one of the two? Scripture tells us so. ...

To deny the Trinity is to be a cult.

Friday August 11th, 2006
One of the main characteristics of a cult is the denial of the Trinity. The Bible used by the US Senate and taught in many of the nations most liberal theological schools is the Jefferson Bible. I am not going to quote it, I am going to instead show you, using Scripture, how very dangerous it is to deny the Trinity. How, a person who denies the Trinity has virtually and has assuredly guaranteed themself a place in the eternal lake of fire. Let us start by looking at what we know as the unpardonable sin. The one thing that guarantees you no forgiveness. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the *son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. (Matthew 12:31&32 ACP/KJV) Do you see the noun Holy Ghost? It means more than what is commonly accepted, let's look in the Greek at the definition that is best suited for the way "Holy Ghost" is used here. Pneuma, pnyoo'-mah (divine) God, Christ's spirit, the Holy Spirit:-. To deny any part of the Trinity is unpardonable, here in this life and in the one to come. And while those two verses should be more than enough to convince you, there is much more. ...

A warning about healing.

Saturday August 12th, 2006
As all of you must by now know, I am big on turning to the Lord God of Creation, He who made us, Christ Jesus, for healing. Recently it came to my attention that while I encourage all who are truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians to avail themselves of Christ Physical healing, I have failed to warn you of something. Today I will cover it. First a brief overview of healing. Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. ...

Can we always read the Bible literally? YES!

Tuesday August 15th, 2006
Can we always read the Bible literally? YES! Can we always understand the Bible? NO! Today we are going to look at seven verses of Hebrews chapter ten. I will try to explain how, depending upon to whom the writer is writing, those verse can be looked at in several different ways. Does that mean that God is writing in an ambiguous manner? No! >It simply means that we are not as smart as God and that for one reason or another God the Holy Spirit has chosen not to reveal to me, exactly what He meant in these verses. It also means that God the Holy Sprit may have different applications for different people and that is why commentary is all over the map with some of these verses. As is the idea of whom the writer of Hebrews is and who he is addressing. Ready? ...

Can you see the hand of God working?

Thursday August 17th, 2006
Can you see the hand of God working in your life? Are you like the young Marine Lieutenant in "Lieutenant take your men and ..." (ChristianPatriot.com/05_01_2006.htm) ? To often to many of us ignore the hand of God working in our lives. One day soon, I am going to do a series on how I have been able to see God's hand working in my family's lives over the past few months, really years, maybe as long as ten years. But tody we are not going to talk about me, we are going to look at you. Now let me start by saying that if you are a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian, you belong to the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus. And nothing but nothing happens to you that He has not allowed or even caused to happen to you. Just as that young Marine Lieutenant didn't understand what he and his men were doing in the middle of a mosquito and snake ridden swamp in South East Asia in the 60's, we too oft times do not understand what we are doing for God. But, if you stand back and look at your life, understanding that it is part of God's plan, you may very well, like me, come to start to see God's hand at work and even start to see and understand how God is using you to further His kingdom and family. ...

New Testament Giving

By: Steve Burzlaff Thursday August 17th, 2006
It seems like most organized churches have to talk about giving at one time or another. Our pastor hates this, but finds it necessary to remind the members of the congregation of their obligation to tithe/give. Here is a condensed version of some of the scripture that he has used at various times. 1 Cor 16:1-2 (KJV) Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. We should give weekly. Everyone in the church, regardless of age or financial status, should give. Everyone should give according to how much God has prospered him. In other words, the wealthy should give more than the poor. How much? ...

House keeping 103

Monday September 4th, 2006
Today we are going to cover three things. First: How many of you want to lose weight and help ACP? Well I have lost a lot of weight. using this diet, over forty pounds. I weighed 246 and am now hovering around 195-200 pounds. Email me by using the form mail at www.christian-news-in-maine.com/form.htm and I will send you the diet. After you are sure it works, send me ten dollars at the address I'll give you with the diet instructions.Second: Many think that the one world religion of the seven year tribulation period is the Roman Catholic Church, and that may be right. But, I'm becoming more and more convinced that it is Islam, maybe under the control of the Roman Catholic church. Let's look at a very brief comparison between Christianity and Islam. In Islam followers are taught to kill all who will not convert, they are told that the only sure way to paradise is thru martyrdom while killing non muslims, preferably Jews and Christians. (third is an open letter to the President about his impending maybe impeachment and removal from office.)....

Is the date of Rapture in our hands?

Wednesday September 6th, 2006
Daniel 9 tells exactly when the Messiah was to come as a Lamb. There are three times the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus is prophesied to be on or near earth. All three are found in Daniel chapter nine. We are told literally to the day when He will be born in Bethlehem and when He will be crucified. Daniel nine also tells us that Christ will return as King of kings seven years after He calls forth His bride, the Rapture of the Church. Let's look: 20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God; 21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. 22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, "O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding. 23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision." ...

And so ends the Gospel by the beloved Apostle John

Friday September 8th, 2006
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. (John 21:25 ACP/KJV) Have you ever given that closing by John much thought? Well, let's ponder it for a minute or two. If every miracle done by Jesus were put in writing, according to John, the books would overflow the earth. Even if John only meant the world as it was known in AD 33, we are talking hundreds and hundreds of millions of books the size of the Bible. Now, think for a minute, Jesus preached for about three and a half years before allowing satan's minions to capture Him, torture Him and fulfill prophecy by nailing Him to a cross. During those years, He started out by changing water into wine, then He raised a young girl from the grave, then healed a centurion's servant, then raised Lazarus from the dead, healed a woman who had an issue of blood, healed a bunch of lepers and gave sight to one born blind. Think perhaps just about all the common folk of Israel, *the am ha aretz, knew about these miracles? Yup, me too. But what, you ask, does that have to do with filling books in such numbers that the world could not contain them all? Well just think if every one of the below cases was told in detail. ...

In memory of 911

Monday September 11th, 2006
In the history of these United States, there have been two men who were honored by their peers, including those they fought against, with the title, "Most Honorable of our generation". It is neither ironic nor lost to history that both of these men came from Virginia. General George Washington and General Robert E. Lee. There were many reason why these two men were honored with "Most Honorable of our generation". Let us look at a few. Both men were solid Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians who were neither shy about their commitment to Christ nor willing to bow to the political correction of the day in fighting to win. General Lee was, while still a Colonel commanding West Point, offered command of the Union Army. He declined in favor of his commitment to the Constitution of the United States, specifically the issue of States Rights as articulated in articles 9 and 10 of the Bill of Rights. There was another item of interest that history records about both Generals Washington and Lee that we might remember today as well, both men surrounded themselves with like minded committed Christians, including personal clergy. ...

Tuesday September 12th, 2006
For the last two days I have been wanting to do a thought based upon the excellent sermon I heard last Sunday at East Gate Church in Albuquerque, NM. The sermon was on Peter and I loved it. But, every time I sit down to do the thought, the Lord seems to say, "... do this instead.". Yesterday was the fifth anniversary of the infamous 911 attack on the US. It would seem that every news organization in the country, every radio talk show in the country and every pollster in the world has one question and only one question on the tip of their collective tongues: "Are we safer today than we were before 911?" They all seem to expect either a yes or no answer or one answered in under 25 words. Idiots! Forgive me Lord, but there seems no more appropriate and descriptive verb than idiot when referring to them and their question. No, we are not safer. We are less free, we are not safer. Oh sure we haven't been attacked again and the many tries have resulted in failure due to any number of reasons, but safer, no I'm afraid not. Jesus said: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. In these United States, money is god. Men serve money and earthly possessions way above God. Go on line, see how easy it is to buy a twelve place plane. A twelve place plane will easily carry 3,600 pounds. The plane doesn't know if that 3,600 pounds is people or explosives, all the plane cares about is that ...

Do you ever get down in the dumps?

Wednesday September 13th, 2006
Do you ever have one of those days or nights when you just feel really down? A time when your stomach just kind of feels quezzy and unsettled, not from something you ate, but from worry or concern? Me too! Last night was the last time and it even carried over to this morning, and may even be now. So what to do? Well, at times a Pastors wife can be pretty smart and sensitive. A couple of days ago I was talking to Pastor Jim Marstaller's wive, in our conversation she mentioned Psalm 46 verse 10a: Be still, and know that I am God... Be still, and know that I am God, what a wonderful peace bringing truth. How wonderful it is to know that we serve, not the god of war, murder, and child sacrifice, but the God of love, truth, kindness and forgiveness. >While allah tells his worshipers to strap bombs to their 12 year olds and send them into marketplaces to kill themselves in hope killing a Christian or Jew, Look at how Jesus responds: But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It is a spirit" and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. ...

Four women and a young girl

Friday September 15th, 2006
Over the also three months I have come to know four women and a young girl that have need of healing. As a result I have spent more and more time thinking about and studying James chapter five. For I am becoming more and more convinced that the four women are devil possessed and the young girl has a serious case of eczema, a disease she has had since being three months old. 1 Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Rich men and women have health insurance and as such turn, not to God but to those MD's, DO's, and others who deal in chemical drugs disregarding the horrible side effects and consequences. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. The money you have trusted in is corrupt. Your skin has become pale and sickly and reduced to no more than a suit of clothing with as little use against disease as a two bit suit of clothing. ...

Congratulations Beth, and welcome to God's family.

Monday September 18th, 2006
At a time in history when the world is falling apart, a time when the forces of evil seem to be multiplying on a daily basis, a time when modesty and chastity seem to be ever waning, it is oh so very nice to see a beautiful young lady give her life to Christ. While my wife, our son, granddaughter, and I were wandering around the New Mexico State Fair the other day we saw this sign: The owner of the CornerStone Ranch told me his paraphrase for Ephesians 2:20 (And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone) was "Never forget that all things are built upon Christ and His word." My paraphrase of John 3:3 (Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God) is "Jesus said, be born again or go to hell!" Yesterday, Sunday, September 17th, 2006, Beth not only complied with both verses of Scripture, she acknowledged that Jesus was in control of her life and gave her life to Christ, and she did one more thing. She demonstrated her love for a young man, who along with...

Are you living your life for you or Christ?

Tuesday September 19th, 2006
In this day and age, it is hard, at times, to put Christ first and us second. But, we all, who are true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, know we should put Christ first. Jesus said: He that taketh not his cross, and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me. Part of taking up your cross and following Jesus is doing what you are suppose to do as a Christian. Today we are going to look at what Paul told Timothy to do and what Timothy should instruct his congregation to do. First Timothy Chapter Five 1 Rebuke not an elder, but treat and comfort him as a father; and the younger men as brethren; 2 Treat and comfort the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity. Do you treat older Christian men and women as if they were your parents? How often I see kids, five, six, seven years old being encouraged by their parents to treat older Christian men and women as if they were peers or school chums. I've had parents in their early thirties introduce me to their seven and eight year olds as Bob. These kids then call me Bob. It is not my place as a Pastor to teach your kids to be respectful, it is your job. ...

Want to try evangelizing?

Wednesday September 20th, 2006
What if?
What if Jesus really is the Christ?
What if Jesus really is God?

Just a thought by Rev. Bob Celeste
Pastor ChristianPatriot.com
The Church for the American Christian who is a Patriot on the web.
The Apostle John had this to say about Jesus: "In the beginning was the Christ, and the Christ was with God, and Christ is God. Jesus was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Jesus; and without Him nothing thing was made." (John 1:1-3 ACP/KJV Paraphrase)
Now think about that for a moment, what if John spoke the truth? What if Jesus really did make the world? and what if He did it just the way the Bible says He did it? ...

Rosh Hashanah

Tuesday September 19th, 2006 Friday September 22nd, 2006 By: Steve Burzlaff
A couple of years back I started doing some thoughts on the various Jewish Holidays and Feasts. Today I would like to repeat that theme for Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah celebrates the creation of the world and is a time for reflection and self evaluation. It is one of the Jewish tradition's holiest days, the days when Jews most commonly attend services at the synagogue. Rosh Hashanah begins this year tonight, on the evening of September 22nd. Rosh Hashanah is known by various names, depending on who you talk to. However Rosh Hashanah is the commonest and most accepted name. Here are some short explanations of the other names:One of the alternate names is Yom Hazikaron, which literally means day of remembrance. The events of the past are, after all, an integral part of Jewish identity. Jewish liturgy and customs have evolved over centuries and millennia from the Holy Land into modern culture. Jewish cultural memory provides the foundation for their actions and identity. ...

Praise the Lord and pass the gunpowder.

Monday September 25th, 2006
There is an old saying it goes like this; "Praise the Lord and pass the gunpowder". In essence it means that we are in a war that we praise the Lord because it could be worse but realize we need to fight to win. So, Praise the Lord and pass the gunpowder. Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. As you all know, I have been doing street evangelism in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I plan on doing it for as long as the Lord keeps us here. Now one of the wonderful side effects of doing street evangelism is that eventually someone is going to come to know the Lord and give their life to Christ. At that point in time I would expect either an e-mail, phone call, or personal visit from that person or persons. What they will need the most is the name of a good evangelical Christ centered, Christ fearing, Christ preaching church. A church tat preaches what Christ said, not what He meant to say. And that brings me to the subject of today's thought. Let us say a month from now, I start to see the first budding of fruit from the street evangelism in Albuquerque. Let's say it goes like this. A man walks up to me on the street and says: "Pastor, I have been looking for you, I read your "What If' handout and I have given my live to Christ. Now what do I do?" All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. What I need to be able to do is refer that man to a solid Christ centered church. Now, unlike the Oxford Hills area of Maine where I know most of the preachers and know of most of the churches, out here, in this area of 750,000 people, I know neither the preachers nor the churches. So, what to do? What to do is rather simple really, but I need your help....

Always be prepared.

Wednesday September 27th, 2006
If you were going on a hunting trip into the outer wilderness of Maine or any other rural state, you would be a fool to go without taking with you, a rifle, knife, compass, extra ammo, a Bible, a warm heat retaining blanket and a few other necessities like bandages and water. You would want to be prepared to survive in the event something went amiss. If you were going to the mall to buy a member of your family a gift, you would be a fool to leave your wallet, money, and credit cards at home. You would want to be prepared to buy it, in the event you found the perfect gift. If you were getting the family in the car and heading to visit Grampy and Grammy 500 miles away, you would be a fool to leave without a spare tire, gas in the tank and gas money, a map, stuff to keep the kids occupied, water, snacks, and enough clothing for the stay. Oh ya and don't forget a gift for Grampy. You would want to be prepared for a 10 hour journey and a several day or week stay. Well, much is the same when you go out to evangelize. You would want a good tract to hand out, (ChristianPatriot.com, thanks to Steve Burzlaff, has one in downloadable pdf format you can have and use for free at ChristianPatriot.com/what.pdf ). You would want to bring a bottle of water, a Bible, a snack, and maybe an umbrella. And that would pretty much do it for the physical things you would need. But there is more you need to do to be prepared when going out to evangelize. The biggest thing is to pray first. Just go and ask the Lord Jesus to bless your endeavor and to keep you under His mighty right wing...

A Michaelangelo I am not

Friday September 29th, 2006
But, still I am going to try and paint a picture for you. Not one on canvas, but one for your mind.Try to imagine, if you would, a large room, a very large room, say one that is five football fields long, three football fields wide, and one football field high. There are three doors in the room, one that everyone being tried walks through. Yes, being tried, for the room is a court room. But not just any court room, this is the last court, it is a court with no appeal. It is a court with no prosecuting attorney and no defense attorneys. Each defendant stands on his own to be judged. That door is at the very east end of the room, close to the North East corner of the room. There are two other doors, both of them are exits. One is a rather small unimposing door, kind of a sickly grey in color, but upon closer examination it is quite apparent that it is a door of considerable substance, more like the type of door you would find inside a maximum security prison, the door that is used to protect those waiting for the death sentence to be carried out from the rest of humanity. The other door is on the South side of the room directly behind two huge throne type chairs. Thrones fit for the most grand of all kings. Thrones that seem to be made of a gold so pure that it almost looks like crystal, throne chairs that have what appears to be a rainbow emanating from them and surrounding them at the same time. That door looks as if it is made out of freshly picked flowers, orchids and things of unbelievable beauty and tenderness, not a door to keep people in or out by any imagination, just a door separating the large judgement room from whatever is on the other side of the beautiful door between the two magnificent thrones. ...

So, who are you building a kingdom for?

Monday October 2nd, 2006
Are you involved in any kind of Christian ministry? Any kind at all? If not, this thought is not for you. Go back to doing whatever it is that you are doing instead of working for the Lord Jesus. For this thought is only for those who are out there trying to do something for Jesus and is none of the business of those who are sitting on their backsides. Lord Jesus, I beseech Thee that if any read further, who are sitting on the sidelines doing nothing for You, that You will smite them. For this thought, as You know, is not for them. They already have enough phony excuses for sitting the battle out. I need not give those lazy slugs any more reason to continue in their ungodly, lazy, slothful, ignorant, satan serving ways. And may You do whatever is necessary to prevent them from reading further. For as Elijah looked up to heaven and called down fire upon the ungodly so do I. Amen. Now, that only those of you are out there doing the work of the Lord Jesus are reading this, let me get back to my question. So, who are you building a kingdom for? Are you building a kingdom and riches for yourself or are you out there fighting for the kingdom of the Lord Jesus? Why am I asking that you might ask your self. I'm asking because I am getting a little sick and tired of so called Christian books, videos, calendars and toys costing so much more than their secular counterparts. Why is it that churches have to pay royalties to sing the new Christian songs and hymns? Can't you be content with the royalties you earn form the sale of your overpriced cd's and cassettes? Why is that the most expansive reading materials for kids is labeled Christian and is sold in Christian book stores? Why is that of the top one hundred Christian sites, ChristianPatriot.com is the only one that is not copyrighted and charging money to use material from? ...

Is abortion, the unpardonable sin?

Wednesday October 4nd, 2006
Yesterday's Drudgereport and again on Rush Limbaugh's show we were told of a magazine that had somewhere in the neighborhood of 10,000 signatures of women who have had abortions and were proud of it. When you take into consideration that according to the abortion industry, and they I would think, are the only ones who would actually know, the numbers, 1/3 of the women of childbearing age in this country have had at least one abortion. The 10,000 they so proudly tout is like a statistical zero. Recently it was reported that our population, right here in the good ole USA is about to top 300 million. About 160 million would be females about 110 million would be of child bearing age. One third would be around 55 million, so ms magazines 10,000 is a paltry number at best. Today's thought is addressed to those 55 million women in the US who have taken and had their babies ripped apart and offered up to satan as blood sacrifices. Before I continue, let's first understand what you 55 million have done. You have taken the special gift that only God can create and while that little baby slept in the supposed safety of your womb, and while that little he or she lay trapped within your womb, you took that little one to a butcher, a high priest of satan, and used that little baby as a blood sacrifice to pure evil. That is what you have done. Don't sugar coat it, admit it. For that is what you did and you know full well exactly what you were doing. No one forced you, no one tied you down and made you do it, you did it knowing full well that you were taking your baby to be slaughtered, ripped apart and sold for parts and satan worshiping ceremonies. ...

An interesting dilemma

Friday October 6nd, 2006
A couple of very interesting things have happened in the last twelve hours. First I had a dream last night. I dreamt that as I was walking through the desert I came across a box barely covered by a covering of dust. When I opened that box I found coins and papers that ended up being worth either 5 or 50 million dollars I don't remember which. I used that money to buy three huge pieces of land, one in New Mexico, one in Kentucky, and one in Maine. The pieces were each large enough to have a home with a garage for each of the three new diesel one ton Dodge pickups I bought and an airport to land the new 12 place single engine airplane I bought. Sadly, in this dream the one thing I didn't do was spend any money pursuing the work of the Lord, I didn't even tithe ten percent. So, I publicly here call upon the Lord to forgive me. Lord Jesus, I am not just a spoiled rotten little brother, I am as well a selfish one. Please forgive me. Forgive me for the things I do, speak, think and dream that offend Thee. Amen. About three or four hours ago I went onto a web site called AsMaineGoes.com on it I found a conversation entitled "Perhaps this is the end" (http://www.asmainegoes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35160&highlight=) What makes this of interest is that AMG is pretty much a secular sight made up, in great part, by those who, while professing to be Christians, are really UCC anti-Christ small "c" social club Christians and RINOs. And while the owner of the site, Scott Fish is a man I could support for public office, his daily moderator Naran is obnoxious to say the least. But, that is neither here nor there, what is important is the thread "Perhaps this is the end" by poster Thomas O. ...

He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.

Monday October 9nd, 2006
George Bush needs to get his nose out of individual and states rights and get his nose into the Word of God! More and more President George Walker Bush is becoming a George Jefferson Blithe Bush. The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to Me, "he that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God." (2 Samuel 23:3 ACP/KJV) Over the last ten days we have seen more murders done in schools here in the USA than to our military in Iraq. President Bush, taking a page out of the William Jefferson Blithe Clinton book of "It all depends on what is, is". Has declared that he and the federal government will make the schools safer. George wake up., who do you think you are fooling? You can't even stand up to the Mexicans and serve the people of the US, by securing our borders, and you want us to believe that you can secure our schools? You must think we are all really stupid or dumb blind, my party right or wrong, republicans. Mr. President, it is time you start serving Christ and not kennedy. It is time you bow down to the Lord God of Creation instead of the alter of collins, snowe, biden, Mexico, China, Canada and the UN. For if you were telling the truth about wanting more secure schools the first thing you would do is end the unconstitutional rule of the schools by the Federal government. If you were serious, even of one moment about this war on terror, you would secure the borders of the USA. You sir are becoming a Clinton, you are becoming more and more your fathers son every day, you are more and more becoming a President George Jefferson Blithe Bush. If it were not for your pro-life judicial appointees, there would have been no reason for me to vote for you. Two bits of Scripture you had best stop ignoring Mr. President: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. And, It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: ...

Why is total belief in Genesis 1-7 so all important?

Wednesday October 11nd, 2006
Why is it so important that you accept the account of creation in Genesis as gospel truth? Why is it so absolutely important that you accept and believe with every fiber of your body that God created the universe in six literal 24 hour consecutive days?On yesterday's show, Rush Limbaugh mentioned a Russian scientist findings that there is a major meteor on the way towards earth and that if it hits, it could cause unbelievable destruction. North Korea is threatening to start a war. Iran is working on a nuclear device, and may very well already own a few. Iran could easily get one of their satan worshiping homicidal bombers to carry a small nuke in a truck to the Israel border near Jerusalem and detonate it. There is a huge buildup of naval forces, including at least 3 carrier groups off the coast of Lebanon. What has all that got to do with the account of Creation found in the Bible? Today one would be hard pressed to find any prophecy that has not been fulfilled before the Lord can rapture His bride, us the true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians. You would also be hard pressed to find anything in Bible prophecy that foretells of a nuclear war before the Rapture of the church, of a huge war in the middle east before the Lord raptures His church, or of a meteorite strike of any consequence before the Lord raptures...

So, you want to start a house church.

Friday October 13th, 2006
Likewise greet the church that is in their house. (Romans 16:5a ACP/KJV) So, you want to start a house church or to be more precise, you want to establish a place in your home where the church can meet to worship, honor and glorify God while enjoying His word, His Word and Christian fellowship. Ok, that is noble, no question about it, to establish a church in ones home is indeed a noble undertaking. But why? Why do you want to start a house church? That my dear brothers is the very first thing you have to answer in order to go on to the steps to form a house church. Why do you want to have a church in your own home? OK, if you have answered the question of why, let's go on and see what you do to establish that house church. First, pray! The very first thing you must do, notice the word must, this is not a should do or could do step, this is a must do step. For to go to the Lord and pray for this house church is an absolute, for what you are doing is applying to the Lord to fill a position of evangelist. You should not, under any circumstances open a house church for the wrong reasons or without the approval of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. Why? Because, the church is not yours, it is His, and you can not lead a service if the Holy Ghost is not with you, having directed you with your sermon for the service(s). ...

This may be the shortest thought I have ever done.

Monday October 16th, 2006
Several things are weighing very heavily upon my mind. Before I continue I want to quote two verses of Scripture for they are extremely relevant to what is happening to me. First the comforting verse: These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33 ACP/KJV) Now the one that is causing me concern: If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. (John 15:18 ACP/KJV) Cecily and I are spending the year in New Mexico, satan hates it. This piece of scum we call satan is powerful and he absolutely hates the idea that Cecily and I are spending the year with our son. For the last ten years I have been getting our financial house is some sort of order to where we would be able to live on as little as $12,000 a year. But, what satan has done is throw road block after financial road block in our paths. Now I come to all of you and ask you to please intervene for me with the Lord, ask Him to please let me know what I am supposed to do and know. I am not going to elaborate beyond that, not because I don't want you to know or because of pride, but because I honestly don't know how to articulate the problems. ...

So, what has God raised you up to do?

Wednesday October 18th, 2006
Let me ask you to first go to this: and listen to Selah singing "You Raise Me Up". Please pay careful attention to the video that goes with it. Just left click it, and it will open in a separate window. Total time 4 minutes 13 seconds once it is downloaded. Now, have you ever asked yourself just what God has raised you up for? What is it that God has in mind for you? What did He create you to do? For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10 ACP/KJV) So, what is it that God created you to do? Go to Africa for a long term mission? Go to an Indian village in New Mexico for a long term mission? Start a web site like ChristianPatriot.com? Be a devoted, dedicated Prayer Grandparent? We still have more needing Prayer Grandparents than we have Prayer Grandparents. Do you know that not all of us, who are truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, are disciples? Have any idea of what separates the disciples of Christ from the rest of us? I think by this point in time you all know what a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian is. I think you also know if you are a true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian or not. But do you know what a true disciple of Christ is? ...

Is "vessel" you or your wife?

Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us, how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour, not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: (1Thessalonians 4:1-5 ACP/KJV) See that word vessel? The importance of the word is not readily apparent, but when you give the five verses serious thought after you know what the word vessel means in the original Greek, you start to see how, if done as Paul has stated, many a marital problem will disappear as will many of the adulterous thoughts and relationships now in play. Vessel; skeuov skeuos, pronounced skyoo'-os: meaning a vessel, implement, equipment or apparatus (literally or figuratively (specially, a wife as contributing to the usefulness of the husband)):--goods, sail, stuff, vessel. Now, not one of the above definitions, other than wife fits into the five verse statement made by Paul. Paul is talking about abstaining from fornication, that word fornication means sexual impurity, literally: harlotry (including adultery and incest); figuratively, idolatrous fornication. ...

Everything, render unto, and how to get him to commit adultery.

Today I want to briefly hit on three subjects. Let us start with out of the mouth of babes. Jesus said: Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings Thou hast perfected praise? (Matthew 21:16b ACP/KJV) Now, in Matthew 21:16, Jesus is taking the High Priest and his minions to task. But, even though He is talking to the High Priest, His words are very pertinent today. Let me explain. Each day before meals we say grace, giving God thanks for the day, those at the table, the food on the table and other things. Kellie our now four year old granddaughter insists on adding, "Everything". Kellie, in her four year old wisdom, insists that we thank Jesus for everything. She was doing this ever since we got here in June and she was but three. Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings Thou hast perfected praise? Kellie is right, we should be thanking Jesus for everything. Now for those of you who are Christian politicians, government workers, teachers, police, judges, etc. ...

If she isn't serving Christ first, don't marry her!

First, have you ever wondered why so many people want to butcher Jesus' point by saying only "Judge not least ye be judged." When you look at what Jesus said, look at His entire point, and you'll realize that you are not being told not to judge, but instead to judge by God's law, not Oprah's and Dr. Phil's. This is what Jesus said on judging in Matthew seven: Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, 'Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye'; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. (Matthew 7:1-6 ACP/KJV) Now why is it that so many want to just use verse one and not the entire six verses? Simple, to judge as Jesus has commanded, one has to read and study the entire word of God. To simply use verse one means that one can instead of reading and studying God's book, the Holy Bible, all one needs to do is turn on Dr. Phil and Oprah to get their ideas on what is right and wrong. But I will warn you that in Hebrews 9:27 we read this: ...

Isaac blessed Jacob, but Esau got the goods.

Friday October 27th, 2006
Yes, as we will see, Isaac blessed Jacob, but Esau got the goods. Today's thought deals with things of God and things of mammon. The title to today's thought could have been, Isaac gave Jacob the things of God and the things of mammon, but Jacob got the things of God and Esau aka Edom got the mammon. Let's go look at what I mean. And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac: And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian. And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: And the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. And the children struggled together within her; and she said, "If it be so, why am I thus?" And she went to enquire of the LORD. And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. ...

Are there pterodactyl's around today?

Monday October 30th, 2006
In Revelation chapter 19, an angel cries out to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven saying: "Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great." I believe that those fowls of the air, that the angel calls, include not just crows and vultures, but large flesh eating pterodactyls, for the death toll is well over 200 million, probably closer to 400 million people plus animals. But you say, pterodactyl's have been extinct for hundreds of years, maybe even since the flood 4,764 years ago. (I'm assuming you are not so stupid as to believe in evolution) But, are pterodactyl's extinct? Not according to some very reliable reports, including, but not limited to this one from a soldier stationed in Hawaii....

Be Born Again or go to hell!!!!!

Wednesday Novmber 1st, 2006
I am really tired of this infamous lie going around that preachers insist on using as do the vast majority of so called Christians, the lie of "Once you profess to be Saved, you are always saved." You cannot just wander up to the alter, hang your head, mouth a few words that you copy from the so called man or woman who is supposedly leading you to Christ and go on with your sinful life thinking you are now destined to get into heaven. If that was all there was to it, the Bible would contain no more than 100 words. Let's look at what James, the half brother of The Lord God of Creation, He who so loved us that He left heaven and came to earth as a babe in the womb to be the perfect sinless sacrifice for us, Christ Jesus, had to say. In James chapter two, the half brother of Jesus, James, asks this question "What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?" Let's look at it in context and see what James was getting at. ...

Voting day, Nov. 7th, 2006, are you putting your loyalty to party ahead of your loyalty to Christ?

Saturday November 4th, 2006.
Those who support those who would continue to make abortion legal are just as guilty of the shedding of innocent blood, as those who, as high priest and priestess of baal, perform these barbarous buctherous acts of human blood sacrifices to satan! Those, who profess to be Christians, who support the likes of Olympia, the queen of infanticide, Snowe, Joe Lieberman, Nancy Peolosi, and other abortion supporters on Tuesday are just as guilty as any of those offering the blood of the little baby in the womb, up to their god, baal. Jesus said: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. ....As one professing to be a Christian, it is important for you to understand the word "mammon". It is things of this world, and as such means much more than just money. You cannot serve both the God of Life, Christ Jesus, and the god of abortion, satan. Aside from the numerous pro-life verses found in the word of God, ask yourself this; Do you think for even one minute that Jesus would condone the vicious slaughter of what He chose to come into the world as? A baby in the womb. ...

An open letter to ChristianPatriot men.

Monday November 6th, 2006.
First you need to ask yourself a very important question. After five days without food which would you trade all your gold and stock certificates for:
a. Food.
b. more gold.
c. more stock certificates
d. fifty pounds of silver
e one .50 cal sniper rifle
The answer is of course food. After a few days of hearing your baby cry with an empty stomach, all you own is worth nothing, only food for the baby, your family and you counts for anything. And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: And Esau said to Jacob, "Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint": therefore was his name called Edom. And Jacob said, "Sell me this day thy birthright." ...

Today, I want to talk about yesterday.

Wednesday November 8th, 2006.
Let me give you some idea of what yesterday's vote means for the USA. But first let me say this, if you, as a Christian refused to blindly vote for the Republicans, you did correctly. It is not the fault of those who stayed home that the Republican party is now the minority party, it is the fault of the Republican party. For it is the Republican party that has, in may states, chased out the Christian vote. There is no reason on God's green earth that a Christian should vote for a man or woman who is working to further the agenda of satan, just because that satan server happens to be associated with the Republican party. Now, before I continue there are a few things we need to get straight. 1. If you are a Born Again Washed in the Blood fo the Lamb Christian, this planet earth is not your home, you are but a visitor here. 2. Christ owns the earth. He owns the earth, the heavens, and the universe, for He created them. 3. No man is going to live forever. Those who serve satan will one day soon stand before the Lord God of Creation and be judged. 4. Christ is in control! Now unless George Bush finds a spine and vetoes everything the Democrats propose, this is what we are in store for. By the way, I am sure the Lord has left 35 US Senators that will not vote to override his vetoes. All that is needed is courage on the part of the President, but, I don't think he has that courage so I'm going to tell you what to expect over the next few months. ...

A question for the unsaved: What would it take?

Friday November 10th, 2006
I don't think that in the last ten years I have ever done a thought primarily addressed to the unsaved, but today's thought is just that. What would it take to cause you to stop what you are doing, open the Bible and read it because you were convinced that it is the word of God and that it is the only place you can turn. In other words, what would it take to get you to read the Bible in such a fervor that you were reading it as if your life depended on it? What would it take for your main desire in life to be becoming a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian? Now the rest of this thought deals with Scripture, so those of you whom this thought was addressed to may want to leave. We are now back to those of you who are Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians. Guys, I want you to read an account given in the prophecy of God through the voice of the prophet Ezekiel. Then, if you would be so kind, I would like you to ask your unsaved friends the question: "What would it take to cause you to stop what you are doing, open the Bible and read it because you were convinced that it is the word of God and that it is the only place you can turn. In other words, what would it take to get you to read the Bible in such a fervor that you were reading it as if your life depended on it? What would it take for your main desire in life to be a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian?" Then measure their answer against what God is telling us will happen: ...

Wal-mart turns support from families to homosexuals.

Friday November 10th, 2006
As some of you may know, Wal-mart had voluntarily joined the homosexual chamber of commerce. Not content with one back handed insult to Christian families, now Wal-mart is putting their money, actually your money, where their mouth is and donating money towards the legalization of homosexual marriage. Wal-Mart Contributes 5% Of Online Sales To Homosexual Group and Wal-Mart joins 'gay' chamber of commerce Company says it's just another routine business outreach This will undoubtably bring about calls for boycotts. The problem is that all of the nationwide big retailers are in the same bed with Wal-mart and the homosexuals. And it is Christian families that rely upon the cost savings they find at Wal-Mart to make their dollars stretch. So, the call for a nationwide boycott of Wal-mart is not very practical. But, there is something we can do to let Wal-mart know that we are not happy and have a drastic effect on their bottom line at the same time. First join the all out boycott of Wal-mart on the weekend after Thanksgiving. That will hurt them a little, not much, but it will let them know that we are not happy. But the biggy that will get their attention is to not buy anything perishable from Wal-mart. No perishables at all, no meat, no vegetables, no milk or dairy products, no eggs, nothing that requires freezing or needs to be kept cold. No fish, no bread, no butter, nothing that is perishable. How bad will that hurt Wal-mart? Well, not only do they lose the sale, but, it cost a ton of money to get rid of garbage and garbage is what is left of perishables that do not sell. ...

The Maltese barbarians of 57 AD were smarter than any on the US Supreme Court today.

Wednesday November 15th, 2006
The Maltese barbarians of 57 AD were smarter than any member of the US Supreme Court today, any member of the US Congress today and most of today's preachers. And most of them were smarter than those who say "What would Jesus do?" or compare themselves to our Lord Jesus. It never ceases to amaze me how many people actually compare themselves to our Lord. I can only shake my head in bewilderment as I see folks honestly ponder the question, "What would Jesus do?", as if they could emulate what the Lord would do. For when one compares himself to the Lord or asks himself before making a decision on what they should say or do, "What would Jesus do?" as if they could simply, by asking themselves what he would do what He would do. Let em give you an example of how absolutely foolish that is. Let's say you have been called to a friends home to sit with them as their young daughter dies. As you sit there you ponder the question, "What would Jesus do?" as you try to decide what you should do. Well, the Bible teaches us very clearly what Jesus did, so go ahead, ole one who makes himself equal to the Lord God of Creation, just do what Jesus did when He was faced with the same dilemma. ...

So just what can we learn from Steve's bathroom and kitchen and the flood?

Wednesday December 6th, 2006
Last night I called Steve at home, and while for every 100 words I spoke, Steve only got in one or so, what he said had a profound effect on me. For you see Steve is remodeling his bathroom and kitchen in a manner that points out perfectly how Jesus remodeled the earth 1,656 years after Adam and Eve were evicted from the Garden of Eden. We call it Noah's flood, although why is beyond me. The only part that Noah had in the flood was making a really large barge with plans and materials supplied by and created by God, turning it into a barn for all the animals brought to him by God and then making sure they all got fed with the food supplied by God until the waters receded and the earth dried. But what God did with the earth is what Steve is doing with his kitchen and bathroom. For God remodeled the earth not with new parts but by simply gutting the existing earth and then putting everything back in a new order. Steve is doing the same thing. He is taking...

Christians and the fatherless

, a thought by Steve Burzlaff Wednesday December 8th, 2006
I feel almost like a stranger here. I haven't produced a thought for Pastor Bob in more days than I like to count. He called me the other night after our e-mails kept missing each other and he traveled to within 50 miles of me, but thought we were out of town. We thought he was in one campground, but he was in another, so through a series of errors we missed each other completely. As he said in his last thought he called the other night and let me say hi. Pastor Bob's ability to talk is surpassed only by mine. His friend Mac told me many times that he thought Bob would explode if he could not talk, something that almost happened many years ago, but that is another story. What do I say for this thought? Many ideas have been running through my head the past day or two. As Bob said, we have taken on a remodeling job here. Over the past 6+ years Janice had responsibility for caring for her parents in their home. Her dad went home to the Lord on December 7, 2005 and her mom on September 29, 2005. Since then we have been busy settling the matters from their estate. Now that is about done, we have some time to devote to matters that had been set aside for more important tasks in caring for them. For the past two or so years Janice and I have felt a calling on our hearts to step out in some manner and adoption has seemed to always pop up. We have prayed and talked and talked and prayed and until recently I was afraid of placing the burden where it needed to be, on God and not on me. I would use the normal reasoning of; cost, my age, the house was in disrepair, Janice's age, cost, my age, and any other excuse I could find. Finally my eyes are open to the realization that if God wants us to do something for his kingdom He will provide a way. Overseas adoption, US adoption, sibling adoption,...

What did Jesus mean when He said:

"The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."

(John 3:8 ACP/KJV)
Monday December 11th, 2006

Today we are going back to some of my favorite verses in the Bible, John 3:1-21, but what we are going to focus on is John 3:3-8 with most of the study on verses seven and eight. 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto Him, "Rabbi, we know that Thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him." 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?" 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit....

Today we are going to look at abortion and repentance.

Wednesday December 13th, 2006
While on many occasions I have referred to abortionist as the high priest of baal, and girls who have had abortions as girls offering their babies as human blood sacrifices to baal, God's word most often uses molech instead of baal. But, baal and molech are both synonyms for satan. Today we are going to look at the warning giving to dads who allow their unmarried daughter to have an abortion and husbands who allow their wife to have an abortion. In Leviticus 18:21 we read: And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. In Leviticus 20 God goes further with this: 1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2. Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, 'Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.' ... OK guys, let's face it, you can't get pregnant, so God has got to be saying that to fathers and husbands. He is saying that society is to have a law calling for capital punishment of those husbands who allow their wife to have an abortion and those fathers who allow their unmarried daughter to have an abortion. We are not talking about the daughter or wife who has an abortion here, we are talking about the father who does not stop his unmarried daughter from having an abortion and the husband who does not stop his wife from having and abortion. ...

The natural use of the woman.

A study in Romans chapter one
Friday December 15th, 2006

Today we are going to take a hard look at Romans chapter one. We are going to look at it from the perspective of prophecy, not just Paul writing to the Romans of his day. Today is just a glimpse, then after CHRISTmas we will be coming back to Romans.
Romans Chapter One
1 from: Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, 2 which He had promised afore by His prophets in the holy scriptures, 3 concerning His Son Jesus, Christ our Lord, *who was of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of Holiness (see Matthew 3:16&17, Luke 3:22 and Isaiah 11:22), and by the resurrection from the dead: 5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, by His name: 6 Among whom are ye also the called by Christ Jesus: ...

Please pray for me.

Monday December 18th, 2006

Something happened this morning that has got me so upset that I can not sit down and do the thought. Please take a minute and pray for me, for I have been grievously hurt. Maybe I can do it later....

Let us return to the "Natural use of the woman".

Wednesday December 20th, 2006
While it is only days before we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus the Messiah. And while I do want to get on a CHRISTmas theme, today, once again, we are going to study more about the "Natural use of the woman". Why? Because it is days before CHRISTmas and in the event Christ decides to rapture His church on the very day we celebrate His birth, I don't want any more than needs be, to be left behind. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us, if we confess our sins, He(Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him(Jesus) a liar, and His(God the Father) Word(God the Son, Jesus thru the Holy Ghost) is not in us. (1 John 1:8-10 ACP/KJV) A woman can not repent if she does not know what's wrong and needs be repented of. Nor can a husband or father tell her what to repent of if we don't not know what is wrong.

God chose Joseph to be His father.

Friday December 22nd, 2006

Ever wonder what a godly man looks like? How a godly man behaves? Just what a godly man is? Look no further than at the very man God Himself chose to be His earthy father when He left heaven and came to earth as a baby in the womb of a young virgin Jewish girl named Mary. Before we go on, I need to ask you all a few questions.

1. Do you realize that in the Old Testament is the outline for what it means to be a perfect, in God's eye, husband and wife?
2. Do you understand that the Old Testament contains the rules for how a God fearing man raises his children and treats his wife?
3. Do you understand that in the old Testament is the outline for how a God fearing woman raises her children and treats her husband?
4. Now, while I can ask any number of more questions, I think you get the point, so I'll ask just this last one. Why in the word would anyone think that God Himself would choose for Himself, as earthly father and mother, ones who were anything other than the ideal example of what He Himself outlined in His very own book, the Holy Bible? In other words, why would Jesus choose for His own earthly father a man who was not the perfect example of how He has defined father in the Old Testament? Or for that matter why would He have for His earthly mother a woman who did not exemplify what a godly mother/wife was?...

A very Merry and Blessed CHRISTmas to all of you

What Child is this who, laid to rest On Mary's lap is sleeping? Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet, While shepherds watch are keeping? This, this is Christ the King, Whom shepherds guard and Angels sing; Haste, haste, to bring Him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary. Why lies He in such mean estate, Where ox and ass are feeding? Good Christians, fear, for sinners here, The silent Word is pleading.
This, this is Christ the King, Whom shepherds guard and Angels sing; Haste, haste, to bring Him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary. Nails, spear shall pierce Him through, The cross be borne for me, for you. Hail, hail the Word made flesh, The Babe, the Son of Mary....

And He said... "none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand."

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

As I travel and talk to other Pastors, Christians and non Christians, the truth of what Jesus said to Daniel some 2,570 years ago, becomes more and more clear, evident, and obvious. 9. And The Lord said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; 10b. but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. (Daniel 12:9&10 ACP/KJV) More and more Christians are turning away from polluted foods, vaccines and the two political parties, yet more and more the unsaved buy fast foods, run and fight over who can be first getting vaccines and inoculations, and blindly follow one of the two major political parties and their spin offs. "but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." With the advent of the internet, the excuse of "I didn't know it could hurt my child" just doesn't hold water any longer. To feed your family anything with canola oil or margarine in it is plain stupid, yet spend an hour or two in a health food store and ask those who buy canola oil if they are saved or not and you'll rapidly see the truth of "but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." Canola oil is poison, your dog won't eat margarine and your cat will not eat tuna fish with canola oil. ...

I have found my life verse, Isaiah 33:22.

Friday, December 29th, 2006

This morning I have to be across town for my flight physical by 10 AM. So, by necessity, this has to be a short thought. A few days back, my morning Bible study led me to Isaiah chapter 33. I found a verse, yet I didn't write its location down and as a result, while remembering the verse, I could not remember where I'd found it. Well, praise the Living God, this morning, after and during prayer and during my study of Numbers 22-25, God the Holy Spirit led me back to it. For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us. (Isaiah 33:22) ...
