What can I do for you?

Monday, January 1st, 2007 Monday January 1st, 2007

As we start the new year, is there anything I can do for you? If so, please let me know via the form mail: Christian-news-in-maine.com/form.htm For today's thought, let us consider this as a guide for us for the next year and, God willing, the years after as well. For Thou, Lord Jesus, are our judge, You LORD are our lawgiver, You LORD are our king; for and only You Lord Jesus can offer us and grant us salvation. ...

Where do we get "Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian" Scripturally?

Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007

Where you ask does the descriptive phrase, I use most often to describe true Christians, "Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian" come from Scripturally? Let me show you. Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied. Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious Blood of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (1 Peter 1:2,18,19&23 ACP/KJV) ...

Wives, try living like this, with your Saved husband.

Part of the continuing in "Natural use of the women" series.
Wednesday, January 3rd, 2007

Today's thought is for Christian wives and Christian women who hope to one day be a wife. In First Peter chapter three, we see how a wife is supposed to dwell with her husband. The problem is, Peter uses as an example, a Saved wife living with an unsaved husband. It seems as though many of you want your husband to live and act as a Christian God fearing, Bible believing and obeying Husband, but you want to live a life patented after the teachings of Dr. Phil, Dr. Laura and Oprah. And then you wonder why you are grumpy, nagging and always feeling as though you need to apologize for your behavior. And your husband is less than satisfied with your relationship. (Please note: The following Scripture is paraphrased from 1 Peter 2:1-7 ACP/KJV)...

Confused about predestinated, foreknown, justified and glorified?

A study of Romans 8:29-31
Thursday, January 4th, 2007

There have been books written about Romans 8:29-39, yet, and for good reason, many are not only confused but totally bewildered by those not so mysterious verses penned by the authority and under the conviction of the Holy Ghost. Let us look at what is written, not in commentary by man, but what is actually written in the word of God, the Holy Bible. What I'm going to do this morning is a study of verses 29-31 and an overview of verses 32-39. First let us look at what the Bible actually says in verses 29-31. 29 For whom He(God) did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He(Jesus) might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He(God) did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. ...

Oh how wonderful it will be to have Judgement that is based upon Justice.

A study in Isaiah 5 and 9
Friday, January 5th, 2007

As many of you know, I visit a man in prison, for a murder I do not believe he committed. The search of his house was clearly unconstitutional. Yet he has been in prison now for some 12 years, with no end in sight. Yet, the self confessed murderer of over 100 people, Dr. Kevorkian is about to be turned loose. Bill Clinton, a rapist, a traitor, a self confessed and found guilty of perjurer, is treated like royalty and walks the streets not only free, but protected by armed men being paid with money extorted from you and me by the US government. It will shortly be a felony for a US citizen to enter Canada or Mexico without a valid US Passport, but it is a misdemeanor for a non-US citizen to break into the US from Mexico or Canada. God has warned us of a time like this for He has said: Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! But, one day this will change, for God has also said: and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. ...

Why are we, as Christians, following instead of leading the charge?

A study of who God gave dominion of the earth to.
Monday, January 8th, 2007

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. God created the earth. It did not evolve, God created it. Yet, the forces of evolution, the worshipers of darwin, have taken the lead in the so called protection of the earth, its environment and animals. The same people who have brought you euthanasia and abortion have convinced you that they are the ones called to protect God's creation the earth. And we, God's elect, are not only letting them get away with it, we are letting them dictate the lead and orders to us. How very stupid. How very, very stupid of us. 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters....

The gates of hell,

a literal look at Matthew 16:18c.
Tuesday, January 9th, 2007

How often have you heard Matthew 16:18b&c linked to the idea that we as Christians are totally defeated in the end times? That in the end there will be very few Christians? What if I told you that the idea that in the end there will be few Christians and in the end the gates of hell will not be able to withstand the Christian onslaught, are both true. Sound like a contradiction? Sound confusing? To a degree it is confusing, but it is not a contradiction. By looking at both, at what Jesus prophesied and what He said here in Matthew 18:16c about the gates of hell being unable to withstand us, I think we can start to see that it is not a contradiction on the part of the Lord. It is instead His way of telling us of missed opportunities. To set the proper context for 18c, we are going to read Matthew 16:1-18. 1 The Pharisees also, with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired Him that He would shew them a sign from heaven. 2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, "It will be fair weather: for the sky is red." 3 And in the morning, "It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring." O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?...

So, who is this Mary, the virgin?

A study of Isaiah 7:14
Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

Roman Catholics have made Mary, the mother of Jesus, a bit higher than Christ Himself. Claiming that to influence the Lord, one must go on bended knees and with a special prayer to His earthly mother, Mary. They insist and teach that Mary can not only influence her Son, but, by inference, command Him. They are wrong! We fundamental Bible believing Christians, on the other hand, treat Mary as if she were just some plain everyday virgin off the streets of Nazareth. We are wrong! First let's look at Matthew's quotation of Isaiah 7:14, then we will look at Isaiah 7:14 itself, and then we will know the truth of just who this Mary is, the virgin selected by God to be the earthly half of the parentage of Christ Jesus. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23 ACP/KJV) Now notice carefully that definitive statement, "a virgin." Pay particular attention to that word "a." The implication of "a virgin" is that it is any virgin, one perhaps picked at random, but as we will see in Isaiah, it is not "a", but "the". ...

An open letter to doctors, teachers, parents and President Bush.

A study of Matthew 18:6
Thursday, January 11th, 2007

First, Mr. President, we do not need more troops in Iraq! What we need is to let the troops that are currently there do their job without the fear of being investigated every time they think about squeezing the trigger. Don't add troops. Instead, eliminate the embedded news media, inform commanders that from this time on, no more charges are to be leveled against the troops in the field, and recall and court-martial any officer who publicly criticizes the troops, including those sitting in Congress. As for those additional 21,500 troops you are preparing to send to Iraq, instead assign them to fight off the invasion of our borders, using the same rules of engagement and weapons as are being used in Iraq. For what good will it do for us to win in Iraq while losing to the invading hordes here in the USA? Now, to doctors, teachers, parents, and President Bush. This is a thought for all doctors, teachers, parents, and President Bush, not just those who are Saved. What if Jesus is God? Think about that for a moment. What if Jesus really is who He says He is, God. Jesus is not God because I believe He is, I believe He is because He is God. Likewise, just because you prefer not to think He is God does not make Him any the less God. And because He is God, you will one day kneel before Him and feel either His love or His wrath. Jesus has said: But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (Matthew 18:6 ACP/KJV) ...

So, who are these revolters?

A study of Revelation 20:7-9 and Isaiah 11:14-16
Friday, January 12th, 2007

Scripture tells us very clearly that at the end of the seven years of tribulation, the Lord comes to earth and destroys the armies of the evil one. He at that time casts satan into the bottomless pit until just before the end of the 1000 year reign of Christ. Then satan is released for a brief period and he leads the weak into rebelling against Jesus, once again. Revelation Chapter Twenty

More proof the Old Testament and the New Testament work hand in hand.

A study of Revelation 3:7-13 and Isaiah 22:22-25
Friday, January 12th, 2007

You know, God should have a new rule, He should make it absolutely mandatory that a erson read the Bible before doing commentary on it. Today we are going to look at the importance of how the Old Testament and New Testament work hand in hand. For to often, more and more are doing commentary and even sermons based upon the fallacy that Christ ended the Old Testament's importance and brought into effect the New Testament. To proof my point that God needs a new rule, we are first going to look at what Jesus said concerning the Old Testament, for what makes up the vast majority of the Old Testament is the law and the prophets. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. One further point of proof is necessary to make my point. Many a modern commentator and liberal preacher, ...

Are you in the Race?

A thought by Steve Burzlaff
Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

Ask yourself, are you in the race to win or are you just setting in the pits waiting for something or someone? If we compare this race to a NASCAR race, and who does not like NASCAR, we can easily see what we must do in order to win the race. But before the green flag goes down we must know what we are racing against. The race that Christians run is against secular humanism, materialism, vain personal philosophies, the anti-Christian attitudes that prevail in the media and entertainment to list just a few. 1 Corinthians 9: 24-27 24: Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25: And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. ....

Please pray,

Wednesday, January 17th, 2007

What if I told you I knew of a woman, a mother with two daughters, who had chronic pain, would you wince? Now what if I told you that this was a women who had given her life to Christ and had recently rededicated her life to the Lord, would that make you not only wince but feel compassion for her as a little Christian sister? Well, that's what I telling you and it is her I am asking you to pray for. Not just today, but every day till you see, right here on Christianpatriot.com, that she is healed. How long will it take you to add Beth to your daily prayers, "And Lord, I once again remind You of our little sister Beth, Lord Jesus, please heal her. Thank You Lord, amen." Is any among you afflicted?

Fearing God and modestly

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

Girls let me start out by letting you in on a real secret. I say a secret because so many of you seem ignorant of this one undisputable fact. Men are creations that are stimulated by what they see. Show a man a big juicy steak with mashed potatoes and green beans and watch him drool. It is the same with girls dressed in sexy, revealing, immodest clothing. So now, before I continue, I am going to assume that you really didn't know that your immodest dress causes men to think impure thoughts. But, after you read this, you should, and if you fear God, change the wardrobe you wear in public. What you wear when it is just you and your husband is "anything goes", but in public, well, if you fear God, your clothing shall be modest. Now, first I want to define the term 'fear God' for you. Fear, when used to describe your relationship with God is basically two things. The first and most common is that you love Jesus so much that you fear doing anything that might hurt or offend Him. The second is best articulated by the Lord Himself. "fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear God who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." ...

Why would anyone want to dedicate their life to the loser(s)?

A look at Colossians 2:13-15
Thursday, January 18th, 2007

When you take a look at Colossians 2, you see that Jesus, on the cross, totally destroyed all the hopes and aspirations of the devil, his minions, his ilk, and those who follow the devil either by choice or by default. For the default is belonging to the devil. To belong to Christ, one must choose Christ. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:13-15 ACP/KJV) Let's look back: ...

Ah, baking bread or flatulence in an elevator.

Monday, January 22th, 2007

It is hard for us at times to put into prospective, life eternal in heaven versus life eternal in the lake of fire. God does a great job in His book, the Holy Bible explaining how horrible eternal damnation is and how absolutely wonderful life eternal with Him, the Son and the Holy Ghost, will be in heaven. But still, for many, it is beyond comprehension and they look for a simpler method of comparison. Right on 1,974 years ago when God walked the earth as the God/Man, Jesus, Jesus used the common terms and expressions of that day. When He wanted to use an illustration, He used examples of things of that day so that all could understand Him, although as we all know, most chose to ignore His teachings and, like today, stay in their sin. Well, today, while not trying to play Jesus, rather trying to copy His style, I am going to try and get you , using things common to us today, to understand the difference between life eternal with God and life eternal in the lake of fire with the chief architect and inventor of lies, abortion, euthanasia and all sin, satan. First what is heaven like? God's word tells us: ...

In light of last nights speech by President Bush

A look at Jonah 2,3&4
Wednesday, January 24, 2007

While some might call last nights childish display partisanship, I would call it a display of hatred and rudeness based upon ideal ology, or lack of it. The democrats with a few RINOs went, in my opinion, beyond civil objection to out and out rudeness. To put last nights, national and worldwide politics in perspective one might read the whole of Jonah. While I think that San Francisco, Sant Fe, and maybe even Maine's own sin city Portland might respond to the message of repentance as did Nineveh, I tend to doubt that Washington, DC would. Before I go any further, could you take a minute or two and go back and read a previous thought. It was never proofed so you may find an error or two, three or four. "What's the use" A study of Matthew 10:16-42
Thursday, January 25, 2007

Not many years ago, probably no more than 50, the streets had many an Evangelist. But sadly today, the street Evangelist, the abortion mill protestor, and even the guy holding the sign with the simple statement "REPENT" written on it are all but gone. Why? Why do you think those who took the work of the Lord and the word of the Lord to heart, have all but abandoned the works of street Evangelism, abortion mill protesting and even the holding up of a simple sign? Jesus said: "Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." So, what happened, where did all the Street Evangelist, abortion mill protestors, and sign holders go? What about all the fine men and women who use to hand out tracts? Where did they all go? Let me tell you a story, a true story, and then perhaps you might start to understand why they, the men and women who use to take the Lord's work and protest to the streets, have gone home. It was on a very cold Saturday at the end of 2005, the place was Water Street in Augusta, Maine. There was a store on water Street called SpellBound, it was a store that used nearly nude male and female models to sell their pornographic junk. I had been invited by Mike Hein...

Lord, are there few that be Saved?

A study of Luke 13:22-30
Friday, January 26, 2007

Jesus has told us in John 3:3 that unless a person is a Born Again Washed in His Blood Christian, he or she will go to hell. And their ain't no purgatory! I don't know how much more clear the Lord could have been than in John 3:3, but even today there are many that will twist His words to make it as if we can treat Him like the pillsbury dough boy. Guys, read what Jesus had to say in answer to the question "Lord, are there few that be Saved?" And Jesus went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto Him, "Lord, are there few that be saved?" And He said unto them; Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open unto us;' and He shall answer and say unto you, 'I know you not whence ye are:' ...

How long Oh Lord, how long?

A study taken from Isaiah 42:14-16
Monday, January 29, 2007

Jesus ascended into heaven back in 33AD, and that has now been over 1,973 years ago. 1,973 years of silence, not silence to those of us who are Saved, but silence to the unsaved. We do get some hints as to when He will return, we are for instance told that: But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark. And we know what those days, just prior to His return to rapture His Bride, us the true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian community, also known as the Church of Philadelphia, will be like: Many shall come in My name, saying, 'I am Christ'; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are but the beginning of sorrows....

How hard is it to be a man in 2007?

a look at Ephesians 3:14 to 4:7
Tuesday, January 30, 2007

Being the man of the family, the head of the family, the man of the house, has never been more difficult than it is today. God tells us to spank our kids, the State of California is trying to pass a law making spanking illegal. God tells us to protect our children, the State of Virginia is trying to pass a law making it mandatory for all little girls 9 and over to be vaccinated with a vaccine that supposedly protects then from a sexually transmitted disease. Yet this two or three year old drug has never been shown to be both safe and effective. God has told us that a wife is to submit to her husband in all things, yet the divorce courts, Oprah, Dr. Phil, Dr, Laura and the rest of the Christ haters tell her she is in control. Schools teach your children that they must try the homosexual life style, there is a high school in Maine that has gone so far as to teach kids, ages 13 & 14 about the glories of being a transsexual . ...

How did You get here?

a look at John 6:22-30
Wednesday, January 31, 2007

We are just as dense today, maybe even more so. Today we are going to look at John six. I would strongly suggest that you take the time to open your Bible and read all of John six, but we are going to concentrate on verses 22-30.22 The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto His disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with His disciples into the boat, but that His disciples were gone away alone; 23 (Howbeit there came other boats from Tiberias nigh unto the place where they did eat bread, after that the Lord had given thanks:) 24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither His disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.... Let me summerize what has happened here. Before our reading beings, Jesus has fed 5,000 men plus women and children, so probably around 20-30,000 people, with just a few fish and a few loaves of bread. Prior to that they had seen Him heal people who were blind, people with crippling diseases and infirmities, people who were devil possessed, lepers etc. They had wanted to make Him a king. Note the a, not the king, but a king. And is it any wonder. Imagine having an earthly king who could feed an army, heal an army, and even raise dead soldiers back up to life. ...

Do you know what a Samaritan is?

A study of John 4:1-30
Wednesday, January 31, 2007

How much do you know about the people in the Bible referred to as Samaritans? Now I'm not going to write a book here about them, I'm only going to cover the basics that make John 4:1-30 so absolutely amazing. The two most important things to keep in mind, as we read today's Scripture, is who the Samaritans were and what they believed. The Samaritans were Jews who, during the Assyrian captivity, intermarried with non Jews. They only believed in the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Bible. Now let's read, what I think is the final draft of John 4:1-30 ACP/KJV. 1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, 2 (Though Jesus Himself baptized not, but His disciples,) 3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. 4 And He must needs go through Samaria. ...

Creation, 101.

A study of Isaiah 45 12&18
Monday, February 5, 2007

All too often we only focus on the creation account in Genesis to justify our belief in a literal six 24 hour days of creation. In doing so we miss God reinforcing His own word with many more quotes. Two such examples are found in the Exodus. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested theseventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. (Exodus 20:8-11 ACP/KJV)
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying; Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily My sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among (*H)his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. ...

Let's put to rest one of the so called contradictions of the Bible.

A study of Isaiah 51:2
Tuesday, February 6, 2007

I love looking at the so called contradictions of the Bible. The one thing that comes through to me each and every time I read what some so called expert has to say in claiming a contradiction in God's Holy Word, is that the so called expert, isn't. Now we all know the foolish, and at times out and out stupid, arguments that some have made concerning the Creation events. Jesus, through the pen of His servant and Apostle Peter, has told us that even those who claim to believe in the lie of evolution actually do believe in Creation, but they are just so willingly ignorant that they insist that we believe that they believe the satan generated lie of evolution. 3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 4 saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." ...

Ephesians 6:2 Honor thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

A study of Deuteronomy 5:16
Wednesday, February 7, 2007

In Galatians six, verse seven we read: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. The word mocked, means outwitted, outsmarted and/or outfoxed. We are not going to outfox or out smart God, and we most certainly are not going to outwit Him. So we might as well face up to the fact that what we sow, we will reap. Sow good seeds, reap a good harvest. Sow lousy seeds and you'll have a very poor harvest. A very poor harvest indeed. Now, let us look at Deuteronomy 5:16. Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. (Deuteronomy 5:16 ACP/KJV) Do you know that back in the times of and before Christ, a obstinate, disrespectful son or daughter was to be put to death? Did you know that? Many of you seem to think that it is wrong to even spank your kids, that your kids never do anything worth spanking, they are never so misbehaved that they should receive a spanking. The only child I have ever known, heard of, or read about that did not require corporal punishment was the Lord Jesus, and even He, one time came close to it. ...

Which of Paul's letters would Christ choose to send to the church at the USA today?

Friday, February 9, 2007

Remember the difference between thinking and pondering? Well, today's thought, while brief, is one that for those who have read the Bible 5 or less times, will bring about only thinking. Those who have studied God's word and read it more than five times will find food for pondering for today and throughout the weekend. There are some who have truly studied the word of God and will have an answer in mind already. I will give my answer in Monday's thought. Let us start with an undeniable fact and an absolute truth. The United States of America was founded as either a fundamental Christian church moving project or a fundamental Christian church planting project. For the Pilgrims came to our shores either to plant expansions to their fundamental Christian church or to move their fundamental Christian church. By the mid 1700's over 99% ...

The Question was:

Which of Paul's letters would Christ choose to send to the church at the USA today?

Monday, February 12, 2007

Remember the difference between thinking and pondering? Well, Friday's thought, while brief, was one that for those who have read the Bible 5 or less times would bring about only thinking. For those who have studied God's word and read it more than five times, I'm sure it gave food for pondering for Friday and throughout the weekend. Now let me start by saying there really is no wrong answer. With the possible exception of the Book of Hebrews, any of the New Testament letters attributed to Paul (and yes, Hebrews may have been written by Paul) would be correct to one degree or another. But as for me, the one letter I am sure would be the one chosen by God if He were to send just one to us in the USA today would be this one: Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Christ Jesus and God the Father who raised Him from the dead), and all the brethren who are with me, To the sons of the Republic: ...

Blessed are... But woe unto...

A look at Matthew 5 and Luke 6

I want to take a fresh look at the Beatitudes as recorded by Matthew and Luke. Why? Because we are in the end times and we need to study God's word carefully, for the more you read the Bible the more you see how perilous the times are. So without further ado let us look at the Beatitudes. Blessed are the poor in spirit, ye that mourn, and ye who are the meek. Blessed are ye which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, ye who are merciful, and ye who are pure in heart. Blessed are ye peacemakers, ye which are persecuted for righteousness' sake, and ye who are reviled, persecuted, and have all manner of evil spoken against them falsely, for Christ' sake. ...

Which letter would you choose?

A look at Jude
Wednesday, February 14, 2007

Let us say that during your daily prayer time, the Lord appeared, sat down beside you and said: "Son of the Republic, I have heard your prayer, I have heard your cry for this nation. You may go forth and with the power I will give you, to preach the one letter of your choice from the New Testament." Which letter do you think it would be? And how would you word that letter? But, alas, you can not choose Galatians, we have already designated Galatians as the one letter He would cause to be sent to the Church here in the US. Designated not by me, but by the majority of those who responded to Fridays pondering. Remember, this pondering is once again restricted to a letter, So, the Gospels, Acts and Revelation are not included. Yet, in writing the letter you would preach, it can include both references and Scripture taken for those three and the Old Testament.

How many more, George, how many more?

Or why I support the impeachment of President Bush.
Friday, February 16, 2007

How many more of our brave men and women must die before President George Walker Bush will stand up to Congress, assume his role as Commander in Chief and start having those who are undermining the war effort, committing treason and openly aiding and abetting the enemy, arrested? There is a story about this in Second Samuel. If you start reading in chapter three and go straight thru to the end of Chapter nineteen, you will see and understand the story and it is parallel to today. George Bush needs a Joab, but where is a coward to find a man of valor? First George Bush needs to become a man of valor, and then a Joab will arise to follow him. I know of a Joab, now serving as Lt. General. Today's news informs us that President Bush is now ordering the securing of the Iraq/Iran border, yet he refuses to secure our own borders with two of our worst enemies, Mexico and Canada. He orders our young men and women to die, but he himself will not stand up to a two bit girl who masquerades as Speaker of the House of Representatives. He orders our National Guard to our Southern border, yet he refuses to allow them to defend it and instead sticks any who do defend it in jail, even if he has to frame them and then create total fabrications to prosecute them. I believe it is time for Christians to pray ...

"And they shall be one flesh!"

God, Genesis 2:24c
Monday, February 19, 2007

Last week I got an e-mail from an old and dear friend in Oxford, Maine. He told me that his wife, Mary, had a serious stomach problem. They had operated, sent her home and while home the stitches had burst and red, green and pus came out. Nearly scared Larry to death. Yesterday the Southern Baptist church we attend here in Albuquerque started a 40 day prayer program for families. And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. ... let's look at "help meet". Awzar, a primitive root that means to surround, i.e. protect or aid:--help, succour. When God declared that they two should be one, He wasn't saying it as the secular world says it. He was saying that what the man can not do the woman can do, and what the woman can't do the man can do. They are as the right hand and the left hand when working together. Eve was not Adam's equal, she was not made for that, she was the completion of Adam, she was the part that made him complete. For without Eve, Adam could not have had children, could not have had a family, and would have been as a man with one arm trying to button up and zip up a tight pair of pants. ...

Proverbs 6:16-19 and 27-35
Tuesday, February 20, 2007

While all of Proverbs chapter six deals with the family, as does all of Proverbs, today we are going to look at two sections. The first deals with seven things that everyone in the family should strive daily to avoid. And the second deals with the horrors of adultery on the part of the man of the family. I have written much on adultery. To read more just go to and put "adultery" without the quotes , in the search box, select Christianpatriot.com and hit search....

Day 3 of 40,

The family

Psalm 127 and Matthew 7 Wednesday, February 21, 2007

Building a family is much the same as building a house or any other building. It is, if done right, painstakingly slow and tedious work with huge amounts of joy amongst the sweat and tears. Building a house without prayer is difficult, and building a God fearing Christ centered family without prayer is both foolish and dammed to failure. Except the LORD build the house, they labor in vain that build it: for, except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. (Psalm 127:1) ...

Day 4 of 40,

The family

1Samuel 1:1-2:11 Thursday, February 22, 2007

In Genesis 1:28, God says "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth". In Psalm 127:3-5 we read "Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is (H)his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate." What good is a family without children? Do not children fill out a family? Is it not the having of children that makes a family whole? With those words said, I am going to give some unsolicited advice to those men who are marrying women who have children by a previous marriage. "Get her pregnant fast, have children, as soon as possible." And for women who are marrying men when there are children from past marriage(s) in the picture; "Get pregnant, bring as many new little faces into the family as possible as fast as possible." "Why?" you ask. ...

Day 5 of 40,

The family

Deuteronomy 6 and 2nd Chronicles Friday, February 23, 2007

As we enter into this our fifth day of pondering God's word regarding the family, let us start by going to the foot of God and asking Him to allow His love to permeate our homes and our families. To make our homes and our heart the sanctuary, the portal to Him. Let us pray, asking Him to draw us and our families to Him, to give us a heart dedicated to Him to praise of Him, and to hunger for His word. And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. (Deuteronomy 6:5-7) In Matthew 27 starting in verse 45 we read: ...

Day 6 of 40,

The family

Matthew 5:21&22 Monday, February 26, 2007

One of the many goals of this forty day series on the Family, is to further the role of dad as spiritual leader of his home and family. This is done, to my way of thinking, by the prayers of dad, the bible study and teachings of dad, by the examples dads display in their daily lives, and by the priorities dads set for themselves and their families. Before we get into today's look at the importance of Bible study, let me just briefly explain what I mean by priorities. When it comes to where you and your family live, which of these considerations do you put first? Income? Type of Work available? Cost of housing? Or being near to church, Christian schooling and family? Are you putting your family, their Christian upbringing, and their safety first in your decision of where to live? Now, let us look at the importance of your taking the lead in your families spiritual upbringing. This will have a minimum of two positives. First, your children and wife will see you getting up early and having a serious daily Bible study and prayer time. Second, it will give you a chance to clear up some grey areas in your families spiritual and Bible understanding. Let me show you what I mean. Let's go to Matthew chapter five, the Sermon on the Mount. ...

Day 7 of 40,

The family

Luke 18:1-8 Tuesday, February 27, 2007

The single strongest weapon, we as fathers, have against satan, is Prayer. Paul tells us to put on the full armor of God. He closes with these instructions: "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit". Today, in a society damned and determined to force our families out of our hands and into the grasp of satan, we need to turn to prayer daily, in honesty and understanding. Every where we turn we see the effects of those who serve the agenda of satan luring our family members. The day time televison shows tell our wives to go out into the world and have fun, find a lover, etc. Our sons and daughters are bombarded with clothing meant to entice, language meant to separate them for God, and an government and union controlled public educational system that is straight out of the pits of hell. Men, we must pray that we and our families will make family prayer and Bible study time a priority. We must understand that in all prayers we must always defer to God by saying, "Your will be done". We are but the foot soldiers, He is the General, it is His plan not ours that will result in ultimate victory over the evil one, his minions and his ilk. Christianpatriot.com/05_01_2006.htm And Jesus spake a parable unto them(His disciples) to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; ...

Day 8 of 40,

The family

Matthew 6:25-34 Wednesday, February 28, 2007
Tell me, can you add even one foot to your height or even 1 minute to your life? Let's say that, like me, you are 5'10" tall. Can you, by using thought, a stretching machine or anything else add a foot to your height, and make yourself be 6'10" tall? What if God determined that your last breathe was going to be at exactly the stroke of midnight tonight. Could you prove Him wrong by adding even one second to your life? So then what say ye that ye ponder this statement that Jesus made some 1,975 years ago, before going on with today's thought. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. (Matthew 6:34) Why are we so concerned with the things of this world? Why do we spend so much time worrying about things like money, the stock market, how the kids are doing in public school, daughters'...

Day 9 of 40,

The family

Ephesians 4:26 to 5:2
Thursday, March 1,2007

Why is this forty day series on the family so important? Let me answer your question like this. Over the years, I have heard any number of kids say; "My dad is bigger than your dad.", "My dad is stronger than your dad.", "My dad can beat up your dad.", "My dad can drink more beer than your dad.". I even heard of one girl bragging about how her dad had more sex partners. Now let me tell you what I have never heard kids bragging about, and I doubt you have either. I have never heard a boy or girl say; "My dad is meek and he hungers for God's word." or "My dad is merciful, has a pure heart and seeks to serve Christ." or even "My dad serves Jesus and is raising us to be Christians." In your house which is the more likely that your kids will hear when you have been lied about at work or even fired because of some underhanded office politics. "I'll get that *&^T&#@" or, "Kids, Hon, come here, we have to pray for the man who got daddy fired today." When the kids go out to play the next day, are they more likely to say to their friends: "My dads gonna get that guy" or "Last night my dad, mom, and us kids prayed for a man who really hurt my dad."? ...

Day 10 of 40,

The family

Psalm 18:47-49
Friday, March 2,2007

How often have I thought about how true it is; "A gun in the hand is a thousand times better than a cop on the phone." But what even truer is "A personal relationship with the Lord is a zillion times to the zillionth power better than a gun in the hand." The other day I called into 770 AM here in Albuquerque, NM. The host, a secular former engineer/stand up comedian, had chosen the blasphemous so called discovery of the Lord's tomb as the topic. As I listened I came to realize that there was a sore lack of knowledge of the Word of God and His word being spoken. One woman called in and said Jesus had to be married because in those days in order for a man to be called Rabbi, he had to be married. That lie was accepted as gospel. Another caller called in saying that Jews, muslims, and others can get into heaven because, as he claimed, it is stated in Hebrews chapter eleven. This also was taken as truth. But, as I spoke about how a person had to be Born Again to get into heaven, and was in the process of quoting Jesus in John 3:3, the former stand up comedian threw a fit, accusing me of being a bigot and ...

Day 11 of 40,

The family

2 Timothy 1:8,9&12
Monday, March 5,2007

There are but two choices we make in life. We either voluntarily choose to serve Christ or we, by default, belong to and serve satan. Start by asking yourself these questions first posed, as far as I know, by Dr. Kent Hovind.
1. Who am I and what am I worth? Are you a child of God worthy of inheriting the kingdom?
2. Where did I come from? Did you evolve from pond scum and monkey dung?
3. Why am I here? Are you here to serve the Living God, or are you here just killing time?
4. Where am I going, or what happens to me when I die? Do you believe you will go to paradise to be with the Lord God of creation throughout all eternity, or do you believe that once you're dead, you're dead, and you will become worm food or come back as a cocker spaniel? Your answers to those questions will tell you who you are, who you belong to and what you believe in. It also tells you a lot about how knowledgeable you are of the word of God, the Holy Bible.

Day 12 of 40,

The family

Matthew 13:24-30 and John 18:31
Tuesday, March 6,2007

There are two very important men in the instruction of the family. Those two would be the man of the family, the head of the family, the Dad and the family's Pastor. Today's thought deals with the joint responsibility of both, and why it is so important to teach the word of God to the family at home, and provide reinforcement at church. What if I told you that this nation, the Untied States of America, was ripe to elect a NAZI as our next president, would you think I was nuts? If so, then you, my dear brother, are not as knowledgeable of history and the word of God as you should be or even think you are. First, we need to understand that words have meanings. Nazi means Nationalist Socialist Party. Now, let's look at the USA today. Thanks to Presidents Carter, Bush, Clinton and Bush, we are ripe for a man reminding us that we are Americans and that we need to secure our borders, a man who brings out the Nationalist in us. Again, thanks to the last eleven Presidents and the Congress for those same years, we as a nation are sure ready, willing and able to accept cradle to grave government in everything, also known as Socialism. ...

Day 13 of 40,

The family

First John 3:23 - 4:1-6
Wednesday, March 7,2007

Regardless of the fact that the vast majority of both Christians and seculars refuse to believe or accept it, the world is full of spirits. Some good, some bad. It makes no difference that most refuse to accept it, the world is indeed full of spirits. It is not if they are there, it is how do we discern whether they are good spirits or bad spirits. Before I continue, take a minute and ask yourself how you would discern the good spirits from the bad. Ok, now read how God's word tells us to how to know the difference. And this is God The Father's commandment; That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus, the Christ, and love one another, as Jesus gave us commandment. And he(the believer) that keepeth Jesus' commandments dwelleth in God, and God in him. And hereby we know that God abideth in us, by the indwelling of God the Holy Spirit which God the Father hath given us. ...

Day 14 of 40,

The family

Isaiah 57:3-6
Thursday, March 8,2007

In God's word, the Holy Bible, we find the wisdom, knowledge, and instruction necessary to live a righteous and godly life. If only we will seek the help of the Holy Spirit and follow His teachings as we read. How many times have you read that I consider the act of abortion a human blood sacrifice to satan? Do you know where in Scripture that idea is brought forth? Men, let us pray for understanding of God's word. 3. But draw near hither, ye sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the whore. ...

Day 15 of 40,

The family

Isaiah 58:13&14
Friday, March 9,2007

O Lord God of the universe, Hallowed, Holy, Blessed and Sacred are Thy names. Oh Lord, give me this day my daily bread. Not only the bread that puts fat on my waist Lord, but that Bread which is every word that proceeds out of Thy mouth. Forgive me Lord for the things I have said, done, thought and even dreamt that have offended Thee, for those things that I do that offend Thee are sin. How often I have prayed that prayer, not just in my prayer time, but as I drive, walk, and many other times during the day, and also right here on the pages of ACP. Many of you have been reading theses thoughts for many years, and as a result have seen "Forgive me Lord for the things I have said, done, thought and even dreamt that have offended Thee, for those things that I do that offend Thee are sin." However, have you ever stopped and pondered just what those things that I or you, do, say, think and even dream that offend God are? How important is it for you to know what you are doing that is offending God? Well, let's take a quick look at First John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Now when I say "Forgive me Lord for the things I have said, done, thought and even dreamt that have offended Thee, for those things that I do that offend Thee are sin", I am in essence asking to be forgiven of my sins, but there is another part to being forgiven of sins. That part is to REPENT. ...

Day 16 of 40,

The family

Psalm 104
Monday, March 12,2007

The phrases; mother nature and global warming, along with the words evolution and nature, are all words and phrases designed by satan and spread by his minions and his ilk to steer the lazy and the blind from believing that God created the earth, the heavens, and all of the universe. The goal of satan and his followers is to get the weak to believe that God does not have a designed plan for all of His creation. However , God does have a plan that cannot and will not change from the moment of creation till the time of the new earth. As we read Psalm 104, look at how the psalmist knew that God was and is the Creator. Bless the LORD, O my soul. ...

Day 17 of 40,

2 Corinthians 11:1-4 A special "Dads and daughters thought"
Tuesday, March 13,2007

The most important chore a father has is the care, nurturing, teaching, protecting and loving his family. Today we will look at the special relationship a Christ serving father should have with his daughter(s). Guys, get this straight, if your daughter can't rely upon you, she will find a man she thinks she can. Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. ... Now while Paul is talking about the special relationship we who are part of the Bride of Christ have with Christ, and how Paul's desire was to turn the church at Corinth over to the Lord as a chaste virgin, he was well aware that there were others out there that wanted to deflower and make this chaste virgin into a whore. Which father wants his daughter(s) to be labeled "easy"? How many of you out there want your daughter(s) to dress in such a way as to be indistinguishable from the common street walker plying her trade? How many of you would prefer she turn to some other man for comfort and advice? ...

Day 18 of 40,

The family

Colossians 3:12 - 4:3a
Tuesday, March 20,2007

If you are sending your children to public school, you will, one day, answer to Christ! But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in Me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Yesterday I heard from a 14 year old girl, a freshmen at one of the high schools in Albuquerque. She told me that girls kiss girls right in the school, gang violence is all over the place, and that she has been openly propositioned by 14 and 15 year old lesbians in her school. Fathers, let me warn you, if you are putting that second source of mammon ahead of your children, you can profess to be Christ' all you want, but, you had best take to heart what Jesus said above and ponder long and hard on it and this: No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon! Get your kids out of that hell hole called the public school system, or be prepared to face Christ! I have been screaming about the horrors of the public school system for 12 years, why are you coming to Christianpatriot.com if you are still sending your kids into the jaws of hell? Why aren't you going to a ucc or some other pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, pro-public school cult church instead? ...

Day 19 of 40,

Lamentations 2:19
Thursday, March 22,2007

Do you have children? Do you have any idea at all what your children face today as they go about in the world? Can you take a few hours off from work today to do a little research? I would like you to go to Wal-Mart's clothing and magazine sections and then make a brief stop at the department that sells videos, DVD's, and electronic games For those of you with daughters, read the age appropriate magazines that target your daughter(s). Look at the articles, the ads, and the letters to the editor. For you with sons, do the same with magazines you know your son has an interest in, magazines that specialize in cars, motorcycles, skateboarding, etc. Shocked? No? OK, head off over to the clothing section, and see what society wants your kids to wear. The bathing suits are in. Then head off to the video, DVD, and Game Boy department. Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up your hands toward Him for the salvation and the very life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street. (Lamentations 2:19) ...

Day 20 of 40,

The family

Isaiah 55:1-11
Friday, March 23,2007

Other than on the Rush Limbaugh show, it is becoming more and more common for fundamental Christians and especially preachers to be blocked, deleted, banned and excluded. It has become commonplace for freerepublic.com to instantly ban anyone who dares to put the teachings of Christ ahead of the traditions and teachings of the Roman Catholic church or put the standards of Christ ahead of the standards of the Republican party. Townhall.com will delete a reply to an editorial if the writer dares to use the name of Christ, or dares to quote Scripture in a manner true to Scripture. AsMaineGoes.com has all but purged itself of fundamental preachers, banning my dear friend and brother in the Lord, Mike Hein, refusing to even acknowledge the application to post by my fellow laborer and brother in the Lord, as well as special guest pastor for Christianpatriot.com, Rev. Jim Marstaller, and barely tolerates me. So what has that got to do with you as Christian fathers? Just this: ...

Day 21 of 40,

The family

Matthew 5:43-48 & Matthew 18:15-17
Monday, March 26,2007

I am old! As of yesterday I am 63 years old. Now to some of you, I am but a spring chicken, but to others of you and I dare say the majority of you, I am old. To those of you who say I am but a spring chicken, I will say, "Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?" And to you who say "63, wow that's old," I will say "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine." Now for those of you who are saying, "Oh no, I forgot pastor's birthday," There is a 253,000 acre ranch for sale just outside of Tucumcari, New Mexico that I would like to have. A mere 115 million dollars is all they are asking. I would think it could be bought for less. OK, enough fooling around, let's get down to brass tacks about the family. ...

Day 22 of 40,

The family

John 3:1-21
Tuesday, March 27,2007

While it is sad to hear that Tony Snow, the spokesman for President Bush, has cancer that has now spread to his liver, it is even sadder to know that Mr. Snow is relying upon chemotherapy and surgery. While it is true that knowledgeable Christians are praying for Mr. Snow, knowing that as a devote Roman Catholic, he can not go to the Lord for himself, I am going to urge you instead to pray for Mr. Snow's salvation and conversion so that he can pray for himself and if it be the will of the Lord to allow Mr. Snow no more time, for him to spend eternity with Jesus, not in the lake of fire. When we read Matthew 5:16 we see the Lord telling us something very important; Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. When we give up praying for the salvation of those caught in the grasp of Roman Catholicism and other cults, we are not letting our light shine, we are instead putting our light and The Light under a basket. Jesus very clearly tells us that; I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. (John 14:6) The Roman Catholic church, like all cults, has no prayer to Jesus or to the Father via Jesus. In John 14 verse 6 we see that Jesus Himself is telling us that it is only through Him that anyone gets to see or even talk to the Father. ...

Day 23 of 40,

The family

Hebrews 10:23-31
Wednesday, March 28,2007

Let us start today's thought by praying that we and our families will have many memorable family times of fun together, whether they be special events or just a family meal together. Lord Jesus, be with our families, and please Lord, bless our times together, holding us close and helping us to lead those who are unsaved to You. Amen The word family has many more than two meanings, but here today we will look at but two. First is that of the sacred family of Christ, the family we become part of the instant we truly, honestly, and without reservation give our lives to the Lord Jesus, the Christ, by becoming Born Again Christians. The second is your blood family, your spouse, kids, dad, mom, uncles, aunts, cousins, grandparents, and grandchildren. In the prayer above we are asking the Lord to intervene and help us have special times with our blood family. The Scripture we will read and focus on is directed towards our relationship with our Sacred family, and in particular our church family. ...

Day 24 of 40,

The family

Psalm 119:97-104
Thursday, March 29,2007

Guys, let's take a minute to focus on the trials, tribulations and temptations that we, our sons, daughters and wives are faced with today. Lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection(homosexuality, incest, bestiality, etc), truce and contract breakers, false accusers, without self control, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, proud, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, corrupt minds, reprobate compromisers concerning the Christian faith, drugs, sexual promiscuousness, filthy talk and dress, lying. And, I am without a doubt that you can add to that list. Televison, videos, DVD's, internet, public schools, shopping malls, magazines, and time alone with members of the opposite sex are just a few of the pitfalls satan has co-opted to trap you, your wife and your kids. So what is a dad to do? ...

Day 25 of 40,

The family

Philippians 4:6-7
Friday, March 30,2007

One of the most important things we can ever pray for is that we will not only be able to turn everything over to God in prayer, but teach our families to do the same. In Paul's letter to the Philippians, we see how God through the pen of His trusty servant tells us to turn all our troubles over to Him. Be worried for nothing; but in every thing, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds safe and trouble free through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 ACP/KJV amplified) ...

Day 26 of 40,

2 Thessalonians 2:3&4
Monday, April 2,2007

While we are going to concentrate today on 2 Thessalonians 2:3, we are also going to look at one of the scariest passages in the Bible, concerning those who have made the wrong choice. We as fathers and heads of our households, all too often, will stop short of making sure our kids have made the right choices. In Philippians chapter four we read: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure , whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, ponder these things. (Philippians 4:8) Today, let us go to the Lord in prayer, asking Him to lead us so that our thoughts are pure, pleasing to Him and under the control of the Holy Ghost. Let us further beseech Him that our families will be seen as God fearing and that we strive to find the good in people. ...

Day 27 of 40,

The family

Mark 9:36-37 and 42-48
Tuesday, April 3,2007

Fellow dads, we are faced with some very powerful and well organized enemies out there in the world. We have the entire public school system and teachers unions, and the government and the courts working against us. They teach and legislate that God is not God, that homosexuality is nothing but an acceptable alternative life style, that abortion is not murder, and that there are no absolute rights and wrongs. Short of picking up and moving your family to a safe place, what are you to do? God has after all put you in charge of your family's spiritual and physical safety and health. You can opt yourself, your wife and your kids out of vaccines, but what can you do to opt them out of laws that protect the abomination of abortion and homosexuality? What can you do when the courts uphold the rights of the abortionist over the right to life? When the courts uphold the rights of homosexuals over the rights of your child's safety and assumed protection in a public bathroom or changing house? What are you to do when the party of abortion, homosexuality, sexual perversion and Christ haters, now controls both houses of Congress ...

Luke 12:34
Wednesday, April 4,2007

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Luke 12:15-34) Have you ever pondered the word of God? Oh, I don't mean pondering the things written in the Bible, but God's word itself, the importance and power of God's spoken word. Let me give you an idea of what I mean. The power of God's spoken word: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Now, note God didn't send Michael off with a pickup and a bunch of angels to Lowes for a load of lumber, no, He spoke. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. and it was so. ...

2 Corinthians 7:9&10
Thursday, April 5,2007

In but three days we will, as Born Again Christians, be celebrating our Lord, Christ Jesus' victory over the grave and death. Today is Thursday and many of us, including me, believe that today is the day that the Lord was offered up as the Supreme Blood sacrifice for our atonement. But, alas, the vast majority of Christiandom believe it was tomorrow, the day referred to as Good Friday. I love that controversy for it causes folks, Christians and heathens as well, to focus on what The Lord God of Creation did for us and His conquering of death, sin, the grave and satan on Easter morning. In Paul's second letter to the church at Corinth, he tells them, and us, how he rejoices in their having sorrow for that sorrow causes them to repent. Repenting over the loss of worldly things will, in all probability, not turn you to Christ but the sorrow that comes from remembering what the Lord did for you on the cross should turn you, to not only repent, but get you thinking about the way you are using your life to repay Him, to thank Him. ...

Luke 22:42
Friday, April 6,2007

Do your children feel loved enough by you and safe enough with you to come to you and confess when they have done something wrong? How about if they only considered doing something wrong, could they come to you? Would they come to you? How about your wife, could she confess an error to you? In James chapter five we read: Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. (James 5:13-15) Sick is not just physical sickness like a cold, cancer or broken bones, no it is moral, spiritual, mental, and the sickness one gets in the pit of one's stomach from guilt and fear. How is a father to know to pray for the sickness of guilt associated with having done something wrong if the his kids don't feel safe enough or loved enough to come to him and confess? How are you to council your teen son if he doesn't feel safe enough to come to you and tell you that a girl in his class invited him to a hooking up party? Or how do you pray for and council your daughter if she doesn't feel safe enough or loved enough to tell you that she and some of her friends were thinking about shop lifting at the neighborhood drug store? Is your relationship with your family built upon the teachings of Ephesians?...

Galatians 6:1-10
Monday, April 9,2007

Yesterday a Christian woman with a husband and two kids asked me a question. She asked, "Do you think God has removed His protective hand from our country?" Do you think God has removed His protective hand from our country? Now that is a question worth pondering, a question worth writing a book on. And it is a question whose ultimate answer is found in Galatians 6:1-10. For the answer to that question has a common answer with "How do I get God's hand of protection back on my family, my neighborhood, my church, my city, county, state, country?" All great questions, all questions that have been asked. Let us go to God's answer via the pen of His servant Paul's letter to the church at Galatia. ...

Colossians 4:1-6
Tuesday, April 10,2007

In the very first verse of Colossians 4, we read "Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven." Before we continue, let's take a look at two words there, Masters and Servants. Masters, in the original Greek is; kurios, it is pronounced koo'-ree-os. What it means is anyone in control, in authority, anyone who has supreme authority over anyone else. That's right, it means dads. Now let's take a gander at the word servant, in the original Greek, it is; doulos, and it is pronounced doo'-los. It means anyone under the control of another, one who is not only subservient to another, but relies upon that other for the necessities of life. Food, shelter, guidance, and when necessary a good spanking. Children kind of fit don't you think? So, for our study today, we are going to substitute master and servant with dad and children. "Fathers, give unto your children that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Father in heaven." Remember back a few days ago we studied Ephesians 5 and 6? We read: And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. ...

2 Timothy 1:5-10
Wednesday, April 11,2007

How wonderful it must be to look back at your families tree and see generation after generation of past family members who are now with the Lord. For many of us, a Christian heritage and tradition is one that has begun in this or only the one previous generation. In Paul's letter to Timothy, he makes note of Timothy's mother and grandmother as being true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians. Reading verse 5; When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also. It always saddens me, for my grandmother and my mother were devote Roman Catholics, as were, to the best of my knowledge, my father and grandfathers. Timothy could look forward to a wonderful reunion with his mom and grandmother, but, alas, not me, and not some of you. Let's look at 1 Timothy 1:5-10 and see what we can learn and pray to God for. ...

let the children pray
Thursday, April 12,2007

To not know and understand that Jesus, the Christ, has a very special place in His heart for little children would demonstrate a very poor knowledge of the four Gospels, a very poor knowledge indeed. And while many of you do indeed have a substantial knowledge of God's word and do in fact know that Jesus does truly have a special place in his heart and hearing for little children, many of you do not call upon your little ones to pray. One time way back in 1998, my wife was very sick. She had been sick for two weeks, the doctors had tried several different drugs, yet none worked, and all they claimed they could do was try more drugs. In the meantime, my wife looked and got worse and worse. Finally, one Sunday I asked Rev. Lester Kringle if I could address the congregation, and he allowed me to use much of his sermon time. I explained how sick my wife was to the congregation and then, before asking them to pray, I called upon all the young children in the congregation to simply ask Jesus to fix Mrs. Celeste, to ask the Lord to please heal her. That was at about 10:30 on Sunday morning. By 4:30 the following morning, not only was Cecily completely healed, she looked ten years younger. A few months back I did a thought about my granddaughter Kellie, and in it I mentioned how as we said grace ...

Luke 11:1-13
Friday, April 13,2007

How very blessed we are today to have the written word of God, the Holy Bible, to use to teach with, to learn from, to study and to consult in and at all times. One such example is shown dramatically in Luke 11:1-13, read with me: And it came to pass, that, as Jesus was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said unto Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples." ... Climb into the time machine of your mind and go back 2,010 years. Jesus had not left heaven to come to earth as a babe in the womb of Mary. There was no New Testament, and the old Testament had been so muddied by the religious leaders of the time that there was pretty much no understanding of the true meaning of what God had spoken in the previous 4,400 years. But we today are not like that because today we have the Bible, God's word. ...

Matthew 5:43-48
Monday, April 16,2007

Have you ever really thought, maybe pondered would be a better word, about what the Lord through the pen of His most prolific New Testament writer, Paul, was telling us in First Timothy 2:1-6? He wasn't just telling us to pray for the President and other politicians, leaders, and men in power, no he was telling us to pray for their salvation. But, not just their salvation, but the salvation of all. For; "in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." To read and study 1 Timothy 2:1-6, without going back to the Sermon on the Mount and looking hard and long at what Jesus said in Matthew 5:43-48, would cause a shallow study indeed. ...

Romans 10:1,3,9-13 & 17
Tuesday, April 17,2007

Have you ever gone to the Lord in prayer, asking Him specifically to give you names of unsaved people to pray for? God speaks to your heart, He doesn't need the USPS, He doesn't need e-mail or the telephone, text messages or shortwave radio, no God talks directly to you through your heart. How? Well take a minute to draw a left ear and a right ear, touching the tip of the right to the tip of the left and the bottom of the right to the bottom of the left. What you have is, a heart. Note the three letters in the midst of heart, ear. Why should we ask God to give us specific names of people who are unsaved to pray for? 1&3 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the unsaved is, that they might be saved. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God....

Revelation 22:13-21
Wednesday, April 18,2007

The two most often mouthed prayers are, I think, "Thy will not mine Lord", and "Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus." Many of my thoughts end with one or the other or sometimes, both. O'LORD, how I thank You for letting me be born at a time when the Bible is so accessible, a time when Your word is so easily read and discerned, at a time when the signs of the end are all over the place. A time when it is harder to tell the weather than it is the signs of the times. Speaking of the weather, it never ceases to astound me how many people will believe that the same people who can't forecast the weather, with any accuracy, ten days out are taken seriously when they cry out about global warming 50 or 100 years out. Thank God Al Gore never got elected President. Anyhow, as we near the end of our series on 40 days of The Family, let us think how much we have to thank God for and how much we need to praise Him for the wondrous things He has done for us and how blessed He has made the earth for our sakes. ...

John 21:15-17
Thursday, April 19,2007

You, as a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian, represent the Lord Jesus, the Christ. That is, if anyone even knows you are a Christian. But, for the sake of today's thought, let us assume that many where you work and in your neighborhood at home know that you are indeed a follower of the Lord Jesus. Do you, as a regular part of your daily prayers, ask the Lord to let you and your family be used by Him to minister to those around you at work and those in your neighborhood? And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. 1 Corinthians 7:12-17
Friday, April 20,2007

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering towards us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2 Peter 3:9&10) The Lord keeps His promises. Look at the promises He made via His prophets telling how He would return to earth as a babe in the womb of a virgin, how He would grow up as a sinless young man, how He would then offer Himself upon the cross as a full atonement for the sins of any who would call upon His name and become Born Again. No, the Lord does not break His promises, not even when we break ours to Him. For He is very patient with us, and He has absolutely no desire to see any turn from him to serve satan, nor does He have any desire to see any continue to serve satan instead of voluntarily coming to Him. And He has promised that one day this will all end. The last one to be Saved will be saved and He will totally, with fire, destroy this earth and everything on it. He further promises that He will do this when we least expect it. He will come as a thief comes in the night, at a time when those who are alive will least suspect it. ...

To heal the sick

James chapter five 7-18
Monday, April 23,2007

The more I read God's word the more convinced I become that if we would only turn to Him and His word we would find ourselves a whole lot less sick. First, and I can not emphasis this enough, never ever under any circumstances allow anything to be put into your body or into a body of a little one God has entrusted to you, that has not, by double blind study, been proven to be both safe and effective. Never ever under any circumstances put anything into your body or the body of one God has entrusted to your care without reading every last word written in the warning and or ingredient list that comes with that thing. That is not just for so called medical stuff like vaccines, but goes for corrupt food as well, things like canola oil which bugs won't even eat. The rape seed plant goes by the name canola. When it comes to healing the sick, there are a couple of things to remember, one of which is that not all will be healed. Jesus tells us through the pen of His Apostle Paul: And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And Jesus said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. ...

When Christians gather to pray for God's intervention, we must be careful who we invite to pray with us.

Wednesday, April 25,2007

We as Christians, those who are truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, can and must work with others who are unsaved, to fight for the agenda of Christ. We need all the help we can get from non saved voters in our fight against the agendas of satan ie: evolution, global warming, abortion and homosexuality. And yes we can and should use Scripture as the basis for our fight at every turn, for it is through the use of Scripture that our unsaved allies, may very well become Saved. But, we can not and shall not invite them to either take communion with us or pray with us. Yes they may be bystanders to either or both, but they may not be participants in either. Not until they too are Saved, Born Again Christians. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath Righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath Light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? What agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said,

Thank God Jesus loves your kids more than you do.

John 10:11-13
Thursday, April 26,2007

You, as a parent have been hired by Jesus to watch over your kids, for while they are your kids they are His creation. Your job is to take care of them and lead them to the Lord, to protect them and teach them to fear God, to feed them, to shelter them and to teach them that they are to love the Lord with all their heart, all their soul and all their might. Your job is to keep them free from harm, but alas, most of you are too much like the hireling of John chapter ten, and not enough like Christ. I Am the Good Shepherd: the Good Shepherd giveth His life for the sheep. But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep....

New Federal Law
Friday, April 27,2007

How I hate to waste space warning you about things this government is doing to undermine the Lord God of Creation and further the agenda of satan, but, some warnings must take place. And while I am absolutely sure there is nothing we can do to prevent it, there are some things you can do to help minimize the effect upon you, your family, your church and your fellow Christians. In Genesis chapter one, we read: And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so. (Genesis 1:29&30) One of the very many signs that President Bush is not what he claims to be, is that he is a disbeliever of the word of God and instead a follower of the satanic theory of evolution. This denial of God as Creator leads him to appoint people to high places that are then in a position to undermine the very word of God, and cause the government to use the power of the sword to take from us the very basic elements that God has given us from the very beginning of creation. ...

So God created man in His image, ... male and female created He them.

Monday, April 30,2007
There are only two views. I and many others know that In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and we further know that God created man in His image, in the image of God created God him; male and female created He them. We know that to be true. But there are some that think they are smarter than God and have come to some pretty stupid conclusions. Conclusions that have caused them to believe the lie of evolution. As a matter of fact, the Apostle Peter refers to them as being willingly stupid. Today I am going to use a picture, for a picture is worth a thousand words, to explain to you how these two different views look at grandchildren. First we are going to look at my view, which of course is the correct view and then we are going to look at how others view their grandchildren's lineage. ...

Lord give me the strength.

JOhn 12:28a Tuesday, May 1,2007
How I wanted to continue along the vein of yesterday's thought, but alas, I received an e-mail yesterday that made me realize how short a time I had to say the things I need to say. "New bill would gives special preference to homosexualsDear Rev. Celeste,

A new bill, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), has been introduced in the House of Representatives by homosexual Congressman Barney Frank. The bill (HR 2015) would force organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Veterans of Foreign Wars, day care centers, Christian business owners, adoption agencies, public schools, municipalities and a host of other businesses and organizations to hire homosexual applicants.ENDA would make it illegal to fire, refuse to hire or refuse to promote an employee based on his or her sexual orientation or "gender identity." Such acts would be considered crimes subject to severe penalties. The same day that ENDA was introduced, another bill -- commonly called the Hate Crimes Act (HR 1592) -- cleared committee for a full vote by the House. The Hate Crimes Act criminalizes a vast array of state and local acts and threatens religious leaders with criminal prosecution for their thoughts, beliefs, and statements. ...

Yet the fool will say, "tell us a story".

Matthew 5:17&18
Wednesday, May 2,2007

I cannot, for the life of me, get a fool and his statement out of my mind. This fool objected to me using Scripture and told me that instead of using Scripture I should be more like Jesus and use parables. How very hard it is for me to suffer fools like that. All that comes to mind is Paul's warning to us:But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. (Titus 3:9,10,&11) So, today I am going to touch on the authority of Scripture and how Jesus did not ignore it to use parables, but instead warned us not to ignore even one period, comma, or word. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Matthew 5:17&18) From the first century church until now, all fundamental Christians, those who are serious Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, have recognized that Scripture is the final word. Throughout the first four books of the New Testament we see Jesus, time after time, referring to the Old Testament. Here in Matthew 5:17&18 we see the Lord telling us that we are not to ignore, change or twist even the smallest bit of Scripture that has not already been fulfilled by Him. ...

God's rule book is the Bible.

John 14:6,7,&24
Thursday, May 3,2007

During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus warned "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." Let me be blunt, there are two sets of rules out there, the rules of mammon and the rules of God. Mammon and satan are one and the same. The rules of mammon say that adultery is not a big thing, Jesus tells us it is not only a big thing, it is the only grounds for divorce. "But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery." The rules of mammon say that homosexuality is an acceptable alternative life style and any who speak against it, if HR-1952 passes, are guilty of a hate crime punishable by over 20 years in prison. Yet God tells us that homosexuality is an abomination and that society shall have a law punishing the act of homosexuality with death. "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."...

Woe unto those who use God's word to justify evil.

Proverb 29:7
Friday, May 4,2007

God created the world!
God makes the rules!
God is the final judge of all of His creations!

And God and God alone will decide eternal reward and punishment!
Fact: The United Church Christ is not a Christian church!
Fact: It is a body devoted to destroying Christ, His word and those who follow Him. It is a body of satan worshiping, evolution believing, Scripture twisting, liars and murders just like their father, the devil. And they strive to make their father, satan, proud of them every second of every day!

Take a moment to read about 19 UCC minsters have to say, and look at how they use Proverbs 29:7 to, in their twisted satan occupied minds, justify the murder of little baby boys and girls trapped in the womb. Nineteen Maine United Church of Christ Congregational Ministers signed a letter supporting abortion, and public funding of abortion, according to Maine's Health and Human Services Committee this week. The letter, dated April 11, 2007 and obtained this week by the League, was submitted as written testimony in the public hearing of LD 1309, "An Act To Provide Equity in Funding for Women's Health Services." This legisltaion seeks to provide $283,272 per year in taxpayer dollars to publicly fund abortions in Maine....

There are times when I understand the dislike some have for Paul's writings.

2 Thessalonians 3:6,14&15, Titus 3:9-11
Monday, May 7,2007

At times, it seems as if the Lord Jesus saved the worst for the pen of Paul. As the one Christ choose to write most of the New Testament rules, doctrine and explanations for the church, Paul, or so it would seem, was also the one the Lord choose to write the stuff that hurts the most. There are those who, when I am evangelizing and they constantly ask silly question, bring up everything they can to try to contradict the word of God, and, other than showing some restraint as to not seem overly rude, all but laugh in my face. Those are the ones I can not wait to comply with 2 Thessalonians 3:6,14&15, Titus 3:9-11. But what about when it is someone who is near kin? then, the realization of 2 Thessalonians 3:6,14&15 and Titus 3:9-11 hurts. It hurts so bad that I find myself in desperate prayer to the Lord. But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject; knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. (Titus 3:9,10&11) We cannot spend our entire lives evangelizing one man or women, there comes a time when we must face the reality that they have chosen the pleasures of this world ahead of the security of eternal salvation and eternal glory with the Lord Jesus. There comes a time when we must face up to the ...

Did you know or realize that Jesus prayed for you?

John 17:20-23
Tuesday, May 8,2007

Yesterday I made mention of crisis and desperation praying. I also mentioned how the answers for Christians are always found in Scripture. Today let us look at the greatest prayer warrior to ever walk the earth, the creator of the earth, Christ Jesus. As Jesus was preparing to finish His earthly ministry, and as He was preparing to meet Judas Iscariot and the other servants of satan, He prayed. I believe that the prayer He prayed while sweating great drops of His Blood is found in the Bible as John chapter 17. Within John 17 are 4 verses that deal with us, they are Jesus praying to God the Father for us. ...

So, whom do we obey?

Acts 5:29b
Wednesday, May 9,2007

Last week the US House of Representatives passed HR-1592, this week the US Senate is poised to pass S-1105. Both are all about making it illegal to peach Biblical truth about homosexuality. And while the President does say he may veto it, the truth of the matter is President Bush does not have a great track record in standing up to the communist, anti-Christians, and US Military haters in the Congress. So I'm going to make the assumption that since there are currently 43 cosigners, including Maine's very own Olympia Snowe and Suan Collins, S-1105 will join HR-1592 in being passed by the Senate and signed into law by President Bush. The Bible teaches that every society should have a law calling for the death penalty for the act of homosexuality. The very verse is found in Leviticus 20: If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (Leviticus 20:13)Now there are many other places in the bible where God condemns the act of homosexuality, but nowhere is He clearer than not only condemning, but defining and prescribing the sentence for homosexual behaviour. ... My question to Senators Snowe and Collins and their 41 sodomite loving satan serving cohorts in the US Senate is; What is it about a man putting his penis in the anal channel or mouth of another man that you feel needs the full protection of the US Government? For what distinguishes a homosexual from a heterosexual is one thing and one thing only, it is what sex that man has sex with. Sex between man and women is ordained by and approved of by God. Sex between two men, while approved by Senators Collins and Snowe, is condemned by God. While Snowe and Collins want to use the full force of the US Government to protect the act of one man putting his penis in another mans mouth and/or in his anal channel, God refers to it as an abomination. ...

Does studying your Bible mean you'll never be confused?

John 14:12
Thursday, May 10,2007

Over the last ten years, I have written over 17,000 pages concerning the word of God. Yet there are times when I am still confused, and expect to remain confused until the Lord decides to let me come home to Him. Today we are going to look at part of my confusion. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father. Furthermore whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Therefore If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it. (John 14:12-14) I have included verses 13&14 for context, but it is verse 12 that causes my confusion. So, let us look at verse 12: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father." Now, in Acts three and five we see that being fulfilled by Peter and John, and further in Acts eight Philip and then Paul fulfills John 14:12. But, I see no limitation, as far as time is concerned, in John 14:12. Now before I get into my confusion, I want you to see what I mean by fulfilled. ...

Today Cecily and I are going out to deliver another hundred and fifty invitations to visit our church here in Albuquerque. As a result I was going to put up a thought from August of 2002. (Link cow) But instead I want to ask your help. Let me start by giving you a short excerpt from a news article in Christian-news-in-maine.com "Albert Einstein once said, "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left." Why? Because without bees, plants don't get pollinated. Without pollination, say goodbye to fruit, nuts, and some vegetables. We also won't have natural oils (such as olive oil, sunflower oil, hemp oil, etc.). And we don't have many natural fibers, such as cotton. ...

So, what happens when we ignore God's instructions?

Acts 11:19-21
Monday, May 14,2007

All too often, or so it would seem, we look at God's commands as suggestions. Yet Scripture teaches us that that is not so smart a thing to do. Let me reiterate something. God created the universe, God created everything in the universe, and as the creator of the universe, God is the owner of the universe As the owner of the universe, He gets to make the rules and judge His creations by the rules He made. Now my guess would be that He judges us not by the rules we want to obey but by all of His rules. Today we are going to look at the biblical end results of ignoring God's rules. Now they which were scattered abroad, after and from the persecution that arose about Stephen, traveled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus. ...

A Warning

John 3:3
Tuesday May 15,2007 First posted Tuesday October 23, 2001

As it becomes more and more a fact, and less and less speculation that the poisoning of pets in the USA was done intentionally by Communist China, I thought this would be a good time to go back a half dozen years and look at a previous thought. Tuesday October 23, 2001 "20 October: DEBKAfile has learned from military sources in Dushanbe and Bishbek, capitals of Tajikistan and the Kyrgizstan respectively, that at least 15 Chinese fighting men on the side of the Taliban, were killed in last week's US bombing over Kahandar, and in a separate incident on the ground. This report as confirmed by Pakistani sources in Peshawar, who discovered the Chinese presence alongside the Taliban from their own intelligence reports on the death of the commander of Arab Afghan troops in Jalalabad, Basir al Masri..." Now, while I am neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet, you don't need to be a prophet to read the obvious and to take certain precautions in the age of chemical and biological warfare against the USA. China is the avowed enemy of the USA. They have said this over and over again, we simply refuse to believe them. Even after they forced one of our planes down and hijacked the crew, holding them for ransom, we still refused to believe them. Well, my bothers and sisters, let us, the Body of Christ, be not as pig headed and stupid as those in our government, and those who are captains of industry in this nation. Let us assume for a minute that the Chinese really are our enemies and that they really do wish to see harm done to us and that yes in fact, Chinese troops are fighting against US forces, on the side of the Taliban in Afghanistan. That said, what warning could I have for you? ...

THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RESURRECTION

Revelation 20:11-15 NKJV by: Dr. Tim Marrow
Wednesday May 16,2007

A Special invited Guest Sermon by Dr. Tim Marrow, Pastor of First Baptist Church of West Albuquerque, New Mexico I was privileged to hear Dr. Marrow deliver this sermon on Easter morning, and it so moved me that I asked him if he would allow me to put it up as a special thought on Christianpatriot.com. Dr. Marrow graciously agreed. This is by far the best Easter sermon I have ever heard, and it will be one of the linked thoughts for reading during our month long journey back to Maine this summer. How I wish I'd gotten it up in time for Dr. Falwell to read it before his glorious homecoming yesterday. Bob The Gospel is summed up in 1Corinthians 15:3-4 NKJV - "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, He was buried, He was raised on the 3rd day according to the Scriptures." Many know this - There is another resurrection - on the day of the final judgment the unsaved dead will rise from their graves to stand and be judged before Almighty God. All that men and women have dreamed, schemed, and sold their souls for will turn to rust, dust, mold and corruption. John, who knew firsthand of the resurrection of Jesus describes the other side of the resurrection....

Some things never change.

Genesis 4:1-10 ACP/KJV
Thursday May 17,2007

Throughout history men have killed men or wished them dead for personal gain, envy, selfishness, greed, and/or sex. We see it first happening within the first generation after the fall. Cain killed Able for envy. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, "I have gotten a man from the LORD." And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering, but unto Cain and to his offering The LORD had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him....

You reap what you sow!

Galatians 6:1-7
Friday May 18,2007

Today, in the Yahoo news, there is a report that two of ABC's reporters in Iraq were killed by terrorists. BAGHDAD - Two Iraqi journalists working for ABC News were ambushed and killed as they drove home from work, the television network said Friday. ... "They are really our eyes and ears in Iraq," ABC Baghdad correspondent Terry McCarthy said on "Good Morning America." "Many places in Baghdad are just too dangerous for foreigners to go now, so we have Iraqi camera crews who very bravely go out. ... Without them, we are blind, we cannot see what's going on." ... 2 Iraqi journalists for ABC killed . Through the pen of the Apostle Paul, the Lord Jesus has both warned us and promised us that: Every man shall bear his own burden. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. (Galatians 6:5-7) ABC has reaped that which it and her fellow Republic haters in the media, the Congress, and on the streets have sown. Over the past three years ABC, its minions and its ilk have done everything they could to extend this war. They have given aid and boasted the morale of the enemy, giving them the desire to fight longer. They have given the enemy the hope of victory by doing everything they could to defeat from within, the US Military. And now ABC reaps what she has sown. For had she, her minions and her ilk not hampered US forces, not given the enemy a ray of hope of victory, not used every means possible to undermined the efforts of the US to secure Iraq, the war would be over and these men would be alive. I pray the families of these men will one day forgive ABC, the NY Times, and members of Congress who are every bit as responsible for the death of these two men as the terrorists who pulled the triggers....

Sons of God, daughters of man?

Genesis 6:1-7
Tuesday May 22,2007

Sons of God, as in Genesis 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose , is ben 'elohiym. Now we know from what Jesus said in Matthew chapter 22; For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Angels do not have sexual intercourse, so the phrase; "the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose" could not mean that angels came and took human women to wife. As we look at the original Hebrew, ben 'elohiym, more closely we see that what is meant is that the sons of the Godly line of Seth took as wives the girls from the ungodly line of Cain which resulted in Paul saying, in his second letter to the Corinthians; Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath Righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath Light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God... All of that said, now I want to get to my point. Let us read Genesis 6:1-7

Many will suffer the just punishment of eternal fire.

Wednesday May 23,2007

An open letter to Christian men and women; My dear Brothers and Sisters of the Lord; Mercy, love and peace be multiplied to you. For I find it necessary to remind you of what you once did know and understand, how you should earnestly fight to preserve the faith you once knew and had. For there are many men and women who have crept into the church, into the office of minster who, having been damned themselves, have taken and turned the Grace of God into a license to lie, cheat, steal and blaspheme, denying both God and His Holy Anointed Son in one manner or another. Of these I warn you. I hope to remind you of what you once knew, but may have forgotten, how God after He had rescued the children of Israel from the ungodly rule of Egypt, did, kill those who refused to believe that it was He, God who had rescued them, but they whom God destroyed instead turned from God and to idols made by the hands of man. I want to remind you of how God, when dealing with the angels who turned against Him, has justly chained them and locked them in a pit, ...

Why buy the cow...?

Ephesians 5:22-25
Thursday May 24,2007

As I look around, I see more and more young girls giving away the precious gift of their virginity at younger and younger ages, to less and less desirable men. This leads me to the question of, "Why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for no
