Resolutions for 2008

Nehemiah 5:13a Tuesday, January 1st, in the year of our Lord 2008
Lord help us to this year make our new year’s resolutions as salt covenants to You. Gentlemen and ladies, let us go to the Lord, asking Him to accept our new year’s resolutions for 2008, not as the heathen do, but as we as true Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians should do, as salt covenants to Him and in His name.Father in heaven, I come to You with these our promises to do in the coming year: Father I pledge to pray each day and to read my Bible each day. I cannot and will not take this pledge so lightly as to promise or pledge a specific time, but I will assure You, I pledge to You, I promise to You, and make this salt covenant with You that if You will hear my prayers, bless my prayers, and guide me to do what is right in Your sight, I will, in each 24 hour period, come to You in prayer and get to know You and Your word better by reading Your word, the Holy Bible. I do this freely and with forethought in the name of Jesus and through the Holy Spirit that dwells within me, Amen. ...

Why not Romney?

Revelation 21:8 Thursday, January 3rd, in the year of our Lord 2008
Mitt Romney is a liar, plain and simple he is a liar! He is and has been lying about his own dismal record and he is and has been lying about Mike Huckabee’s record. And why shouldn’t you vote for a liar? Well, it may come to that in the general election, but not in the Republican primary. And while I will be the first to say that each of the Republican candidates has managed to represent himself in the best possible light, two of the candidates, Romney and Giuliani have distinguished themselves as two unmitigated lairs. With Giuliani it isn’t a problem since I know of not one evangelical Christian who plans on voting for him anyhow. But with Romney, it is a problem for he has duped many Christians, he is looked upon by many in the Christian community as being a pro-life, pro-traditional family Christian and not the pro-abortion, pro-radical homosexual cultist that he is. Make no mistake about this, Romney is not a Christian just as Mormonism is not a Christian religion, he is a cultist and it is a cult. They deny that God the Father, God the Son(Jesus) and God the Holy Ghost are one God, the Trinity! And why should we avoid voting for a known liar? ...

A hearty Congratulations, a thanks, and an invitation.

Luke 14:7-14 Friday, January 4th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Well the count is in, Iowan Christians and Patriots have spoken loud and clear and they have given Pastor Mike a whopping 34% of the vote. So, Congratulations Pastor Mike and thank you Christians and patriots in Iowa. To many of us, the ideal dream ticket would be Rev. Mike Huckabee and Dr. Ron Paul. So, let me be the first to invite Dr. Paul to the fold.
Dear Dr. Paul,

...

And God said: Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Matthew 19:3-6 Wednesday, January 9th, in the year of our Lord 2008
All to often we hear what others claim a person said. Since endorsing Rev. Mike Huckabee for President, I have received a comment or two. At times the comment is based upon he said that she said that he heard that someone said that so and so thinks they heard this that and/or another thing. So today we are going to look at what two men have to say about marriage, one directly and the other in a letter to the radical left wing homosexual Log Cabin Republicans. No hypo-bole, no quotes, only what they each said.Governor Huckabee in his sermon on marriage to the Thomas Road Baptist church in 2006 and Governor Romney’s letter of praise and thanks to the homosexual Massachusetts Log Cabin Republicans.  First I want you to go and read Governor Romney’s letter: The Romney letter. Now, go listen to Governor Huckabee speak at Rev. Jerry Falwell’s Thomas Road Baptist church in 2006: Mike Huckabee's marriage sermon Dr. Falwell’s introduction of Governor Huckabee starts 33:50 in. ...

Why do you believe man, deny the word of Christ, yet call yourself a CHRISTian?

2 Timothy 3:16&17 Friday, January 11th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Abraham didn’t have vaccines, he didn’t eat GMO foods, or GE foods, yet he lived to be 175 years old. He didn’t eat rapeseed. Those who wish to poison you call it canola, yet Abraham lived to be 175 years old. And these are the days of the years of Abraham's life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years. Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people. And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, which is before Mamre; (Genesis 25:7-9 ACP/KJV) Abraham fathered Ishmeal when he was 67, Issac when he was 100, and fathered sons and daughters till he was 175, all without viagra, vaccines, and miracle drugs...

Kill'em all, let God sort them out

Deuteronomy thru 2 Chronicles Monday, January 14th, in the year of our Lord 2008
A huge difference between me and George Bush, most of his predecessors and I’m sure those who will follow him, even Mike Huckabee, is the way they fight wars versus the way I would fight wars and the way they deal with crime versus the way I would deal with crime. When each of the Republican candidates, in NH, were asked what basic principles he would base his government upon. The only one that gave an answer to the question, that actually indicated that he had heard, understood, and was willing to answer the question, was Gov. Huckabee, his answer was, after quoting much of the preamble, the Constitution of the United States. My answer would have been the Bible would be the basis I would make moral judgements and the Constitution the basis for my legal judgements, that I would try to never violated the written word of either.

"The next thing on God's prophetic clock is rapture"

Dr. Jimmy DeYoung 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10Tuesday, January 15th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Not many Saturdays ago I was listening to Dr. Jimmy DeYoung’s radio show Prophecy Today. At the conclusion of his show he said that there was nothing left between now and rapture on God’s prophetic clock. Now many of us have felt that and thought that for some time, but to have an undisputed expert on Bible prophesy and especially end times prophecy say it is makes it so much closer to fact. Having Dr. DeYoung say that the next thing to happen prophetically is Rapture adds a whole new dimension to the shortness of time that remains for us to reach out to the unsaved. First we need to look at Second Thessalonians chapter one, and then we will move on in chapter two. Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer: Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you. Are you being troubled? If not, how come? ...

Four bucks a pound for grapes?

Deuteronomy 28:49-60a Wednesday, January 16th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Earlier today I went to the grocery store for my wife, not one of these little high priced palaces, but a great big higly competitive chain, Hannaford Brothers. She needed a couple of pounds of grapes for a teachers meeting after school. $3.99 a pound, Three dollars and ninety-nine cents a pound for grapes, give me a break. Folks we are in trouble here, $4.00 a gallon for milk, $4,00 a pound for grapes, $2.00 a loaf for bread, $3.20 a gallon for gas to get to work, $3.20 a gallon for heating oil to heat your house, $3.70 a gallon for diesel fuel to get the gas to the station, the heating oil to your house and food to the market. And you think the warnings in the Old Testament are just for the ancient jews? Wake Up! ...

You will know them by their fruits

Matthew 7:20 Thursday, January 17th, in the year of our Lord 2008
In Matthew 7:20 Jesus says “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them”, have you ever pondered who the “their” and “them” is? Both their and them in the original Greek is the word autos, pronounced ow-tos' it is from the particle au and is the reflexive pronoun self, used as the third person , and (with the proper personal pronoun) of the other persons:--her, it(-self), one, the other, (mine) own, said, (self-), the) same, ((him-, my-, thy- )self, (your-)selves, she, that, their(-s), them(-selves), there(-at, - by, -in, -into, -of, -on, -with), they, (these) things, this (man), those, together, very, which. Whew, that’s quite a mouthful isn’t it, but the bottom line is that the words “their” and “them” are quite clearly you, me and every man woman and child on earth. Now, the easiest one(s) to recognize by this are preachers. A true God fearing, Christ inspired and serving preacher is going to preach Christ and through Him salvation He is also going to live a life that reflects Christ, His commands, his teachings and His very life. But, while it is easy to identify who is truly serving Christ in the pulpit by this saying, it also applies to ...

Sometimes out of the mouth of babes comes great wisdom and ideas.

Hebrews 13:2 & Zechariah 4:6b Friday, January 18th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Recently I have had a burden on my heart to do the Gospel of John with commentary, much as I did the forty days of the family and the Book of Revelation. Well, God willing, I will be starting that this coming Monday and it will be a five day a week series until it is done. The question, how to transition into the Gospel of John, well that has been happening, believe it or not, over the past several weeks. But for the last of the general thought categories, before going into John, I was at a loss. Then, yesterday morning I had one of those all too rare opportunities to talk to Steve for more than a moment or two. Later that day I found an e-mail from him that struck me rather hard. This morning after much pondering, my wife finally found her verse for this year, although I have yet to find mine. Many of you would insist that it is 2 Chronicles 7:14. I would have a hard time arguing that, for that verse has been a guiding light to me now going on three maybe four years. Let’s start with Steve’s email: ...

Jesus is God, John leaves no doubt of that fact.

Introduction to the gospel of John Monay, January 21st, in the year of our Lord 2008
Tomorrow we are going to start a verse by verse, chapter by chapter, day by day study of the Gospel of Christ according to and as written by the beloved Apostle John. As I go through the Gospel of John, I pray that I will be able to do both the final proofing of the complete Gospel of John ACP/KJV and do a commentary that is open, honest, politically incorrect and authentic. These plans can and will be accomplished only with the help of the Lord Jesus and the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God. ...

John Chapter One 1-18

John 1:1-18 Tuesday, January 22nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
1 In the beginning was the Word(Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The Same(Jesus) was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by Him(Jesus); and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In verses 1-3, John is not simply saying that Jesus was with God when God created the universe by speaking it into existence, no, John is very clearly saying that it was Jesus who spoke the universes into existence. Therefore what John is saying is that Jesus is God. Look again at verse 3, All things were made by Jesus, nothing that was made or brought into existence was brought into existence by any other than Jesus, for all things that were created were created by Jesus. ...

John Chapter One 19-51

John 1:1-51Wednesday, January 22rd, in the year of our Lord 2008
19 And this is the record of John(the Baptist), when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who art thou?” 20 And he(John the Baptist) confessed, and denied not; but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” 21 And they asked him, “What then? Art thou Elias(Elijah)?” And he saith, “I am not.” “Art thou that prophet?” And he answered, “No.” I love these 3 verses, picture if you can the Levites and priest sent to question John the Baptist by the Sanhedrin, the high mucky mucks of the Jews. They have no idea what is going on or where in the world this guy, John the Baptist, came from. All of a sudden they have this guy running around yelling “Make straight the way of the Lord” and baptizing and the people are in love with him. And John the Baptist is playing them like a fine violin, they ask by guessing, and he says “no, try again.” ...

John Chapter Two 1-11

John 2:1-11Thursday, January 24th, in the year of our Lord 2008
1 And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: 2 And both Jesus was called, and His disciples, to the marriage. 3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto Him, “They have no wine.” 4 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come. This is the third day of Jesus ministry starting with the day He was baptized back in 1:29-34. The second day was the day that Jesus got His first four Apostles, Andrew, Peter, Philip and Nathanael. Now Jesus, the four Apostles and his disciples along with Mary, the Lord’s mother went to a wedding. Mary asked Jesus to make some wine, Jesus does not refer to her as mother, but as woman. The word woman is the Greek word “gune”, it is pronounced goo-nay' and is a word used to depict a woman of honor, such as a mans wife or other very special woman. Yet, it is not as honorable as using the word Mother. ...

John Chapter Two 12-25

John 2:12-25Friday, January 25th, in the year of our Lord 2008
12 After this He went down to Capernaum, He, and His mother, and His brethren, and His disciples: and they continued there not many days. 13 And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem, 14 and found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: One the first day of Jesus’ ministry He was baptized (John 1:29-34), on the second He was joined by the first Apostle, Andrew who went and got Peter (John 1:35-42). On day three Jesus went into Galilee and Philip, and Nathanael joined Jesus and became Apostles (John 1:41-51). On day four Jesus went to the wedding in Cana (John 2:1). ...

John Chapter Three 1-6

John 3:1-6Monday, January 28th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Now we enter 21 of the very most important verses of the entire Bible, 6 of which we will cover today. For upon these 21 verses we base our faith in the fact that we must be Born Again Christians Washed clean in and by the Blood of the Lamb of God, Christ Jesus. We must be true Born Again Christians in order to get into heaven and avoid eternal damnation. 1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto Him, “Rabbi, we know that Thou art a teacher come from God, for no man can do these miracles that Thou doest, except God be with him.” 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God! ...

John Chapter Three 7-15

John 3:7-15Tuesday, January 29th, in the year of our Lord 2008
7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, ‘Ye must be born again.8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Here in verse 7 we see Jesus, for the second time, saying a man has to be born again, but this time, He adds in the word “dei” which is translated properly as “must” as in “Ye must be born again.” Jesus could obviously see the confusion on Nicodemus’ face, so He continues explaining how by comparing being Born Again to and earthly act that Nicodemus and anyone can and should understand, the invisible wind. ...

John Chapter Three 16-21

John 3:16-21Thursday, January 31st, in the year of our Lord 2008
16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him(Jesus) should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Ever since God created the world, He has loved not only the world, but every living creation in it and on it. God did not create the world and man to be apart from Him. God created a perfect world so that man, who was the utmost of His creations (God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (...

John Chapter Three 22-36

John 3:22-36Friday, February 1st, in the year of our Lord 2008
22 After these things came Jesus and His disciples into the land of Judaea; and there He tarried with them, and baptized. 23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon(a place of springs of water) near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24 For John was not yet cast into prison. In verses 1&2 of John 3, we saw the meeting of Jesus and Nicodemus, in verses 3-21 we saw Jesus explaining to Nicodemus and us the absolute importance and necessity of being Born Again. Now in verses 22-36 we will see a change of focus to John the Baptist explaining the rise of the Christ and the decline of the heralder. ...

John Chapter Four 1-12

John 4:1-12Monday, February 4th, in the year of our Lord 2008
1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, 2 (Although Jesus Himself baptized not, for it was His disciples who baptized,) 3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. 4 And He must needs go through Samaria. When you look at verse one, can you start to see and understand the intense hatred the Pharisees had for Jesus. This hatred was due, not to a misunderstanding of who Jesus was, but their desire not to give up their positions of power and respect. They of all people could have, as did Nicodemus, seek out Jesus and the truth, but they choose instead to let their hatred fester and seal their own doom. How many liberal denomination preachers are the same? How many of them refuse to surrender to the Lord for fear of losing the respect of men, fear the losing of their pensions, their money, their prestige. I have come to love the title Reverend before my name and despise all others, other than Mr. ...

John Chapter Four 13-26

John 4:1-12Tuesday, February 5th, in the year of our Lord 2008
13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. Who ever drinks of the water from this well, will be thirsty again in a short time, as is natural, but whoever drinks of the well of the Holy Spirit that Jesus will give to whom He will, shall never thirst again. On the one hand Jesus is talking about plain old well water, but the water He is talking about giving is the Holy Spirit. One who receives the Holy Spirt never has that longing to fulfill something again. For that hunger theat feeling of emptiness that all have till they have the Holy Spirt, till they are Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, is satisfied once they are given the holy Spirt by the Son of God. One of the best indicators of salvation is the sense of peace one has concerning eternity. Once a man, woman, or child becomes a true Born Again Washed clean in the Blood of the Lamb Christian, they no longer have a nagging emptiness, and loneliness. ...

John Chapter Four 27-32

John 4:27-32Wednesday, February 6th, in the year of our Lord 2008
27 And upon this(meeting of Jesus and the woman) came His disciples, and marvelled that He talked with a woman: yet no man said(to her), “What seekest Thou?” or(to Jesus), “Why talkest Thou with her?” Put yourself in the place of one of the Lord’s disciples, as you approach the Lord, you see Him talking to a woman. Now that in itself would be quite something, for at that time it was very unusual for a man to be talking to a non related woman in a private one on one meeting. But here come the disciples and imagine the look on the face of that Samaritan woman. For this conversation between Jesus and the woman had just taken place, maybe less than five minutes before. The woman said to Jesus, “I know that Messiah is coming, He who is called the Christ: and when He is come, He will tell us all things.” Then Jesus says to her, “I, that speak unto thee, AM.” And that is the scene the disciples returning to the Lord saw. They must have been almost as shell shocked as she was, for it appears that they, including Peter and Thomas were tongue tied. ...

John Chapter Four 33-42

John 4:33-42Thursday, February 7th, in the year of our Lord 2008
33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, “Hath any man brought Him anything to eat?” 34 Jesus saith unto them, My food is to do the will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His work. While the Disciples, the students of the Lord are concerned with the food of the belly, the Lord is concerned with the food of the soul. The work Jesus is talking about finishing started way back in the beginning, found in the book of Genesis let us look at but two of the many things the Lord is talking about finishing. ...

John Chapter Four 33-42

John 4:43-54Friday, February 8th, in the year of our Lord 2008
43 Now after two days He departed thence (from Samaria), and went into Galilee. 44 For Jesus Himself testified, that ‘a prophet hath no honour in his own country.’ 45 Then when He was come into Galilee, the Galileans received Him, having seen all the things that He did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast. After spending two days preaching to the Samaritans, where so many had come to believe on Him, Jesus returned to Galilee, the area in which He was raised. He returns to an area that He Himself says “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house....

John Chapter Five 1-18

John 5:1-18Tuesday, February 12th, in the year of our Lord 2008
1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. (This marks the end of Jesus’ first year of ministry.) As you may remember back in John chapter one and two, Jesus started His ministry just 3 or 4 days before the Passover, this is now one year later. ... What we have here is one of the greatest pitfalls of relying upon commentary and not researching Scripture for yourself. Look, eternity is a long, long time, ...

Limbaugh and Hannity can no longer be trusted.

John 15:18-25Wednesday, February 13th, in the year of our Lord 2008
First let me say that I am not happy that I have been put in a position where I have to interrupt the series on the Gospel of John. But, what Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and other talking head pundits have done this year is not only beneath contempt and disgust but requires a Scriptural response as well. They have, in my humble opinion, proven who it is that they serve, and it is not the God of truth, but the father of all liars. There was a time when one could turn the dial to Rush Limbaugh and/or Sean Hannity and expect to hear the truth. There was a time when listening to either got you an honest evaluation of individuals and especially candidates. That has changed, as both have proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that they can and will lie to prevent a true servant of Christ from occupying the oval office. While I am disappointed in both of these legends in their own minds, I am especially upset at and disappointed in Rush Limbaugh. I would not have believed that he would sink to the level of vicious lies ...

John Chapter 5:19-24

John 5:19-24Thursday, February 14th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Before I start today’s study in the Gospel of John, I would like to ask you to take on a prayer request. Yesterday I asked Steve to post the thought “Limbaugh and Hannity can no longer be trusted.”, on Freerepublic.com. Earlier this morning I visited the post and was appalled at the replies. What I read has me concerned for the safety of Rev. Huckabee. Please pray for his safety and the safety of his family and staff. Already the IRS has gone after a Southern Baptist Pastor, Pastor Willy Drake in California for having the gall to endorse Pastor Mike. Please pray for Pastor Drake and his church as well. Now, let us get to the Gospel according to John.19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do: for what things soever He doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. 20a For the Father loveth the Son, and ...

John Chapter Five 5:25-47

John 5:25-47Friday, February 15th, in the year of our Lord 2008
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the *dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that *hear shall live. 26 For as the Father hath *life in Himself; so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself; 27 And hath given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of man. *dead, The Greek word used for dead is “nekros” it means both literally and figuratively dead, so Jesus is referring to those who are spiritually dead as well as those who are physically dead. *hear, the Greek word used, that is interpreted “hear” is “akouo” and means to hear and understand. * life, “ zoe” literally means life and the ability to give and/or extend life....

John Chapter Six 1-27

John 6:1-27Monday, February 18th, in the year of our Lord 2008
1 After these things Jesus went over the *sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias. 2 And a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His miracles which He did on them that were diseased. (*The Sea of Galilee, known to Israelis as Lake Kinneret, is only 13 by 7 miles. It is one of the most well-known bodies of water in the world. And it was on these shores that Jesus preached and performed miracles. Capernaum, home to at least 4 of the 12 Apostles, is on it's shore.) ...

John Chapter Six 28-40

John 6:28-40Wednesday, February 20th, in the year of our Lord 2008
28 Then said they unto Him, “What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him(Yeshua) whom He(Yahweh) hath sent. How many of us ask the same question today, “What works can I do to earn my way or work my way, into heaven?” And Jesus’ answer is the same today as it was back then. “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God....

John Chapter Six 41-58

John 6:41-58Friday, February 22nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
41 The Jews then grumbled at Him, because He said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. 42 And they said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that He saith, I came down from heaven?” The Jews of then, like non Christians today, will, regardless of the facts, regardless of the miracles, continue to find any and every thing to hang onto, in order to avoid accepting the fact that Jesus is God. They will ask Christians to pray for them, ask God to bless them their families and their country, yet they will avoid, at all cost it seems, turning their life over to Him. They of then like those of today continue to think that they can have it both ways, salvation without repentance, salvation without turning themselves over to the Lord. Heaven without becoming Born Again. Or by redefining Born Again to meet their own needs and desires.

John Chapter Six 59-71

John 6:59-71Monday, February 25th, in the year of our Lord 2008
59 These things said He in the synagogue, as He taught in Capernaum. 60 Many therefore of His disciples, when they had heard this, said, “This is a harsh/severe saying; who can understand it?” Over the past 1,970 years men and women have been trying to understand exactly what Jesus meant when He said “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no Life in you. Whoso eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is meat indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He that eateth My flesh, and drinketh My blood, dwelleth in Me, and I in him.” And we, in the last 400 years have had not only the best interpretations available but thousands of pages of commentary and learned study as well. But those men who followed Jesus at the time had no such luxury, what they had was Jesus and their ability to hear, see and remember. They had no written copy to go back to. It is no wonder that they were wondering, who could understand what the Lord was talking about? ...

John Chapter Seven 1-20

John 7:1-20 Tuesday, February 26th, in the year of our Lord 2008
1 After these things (all that Jesus had done in the first 2 3/4 years of His ministry) Jesus walked in Galilee: for He would not walk in Judaea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. 2 Now the Jews' *feast of tabernacles was at hand. 3 His brethren(half brothers, Mary’s sons by Joseph) therefore said unto Him, “Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that Thy disciples also may see the works that Thou doest. 4 For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If Thou do these things, shew Thyself to the world.” 5 For neither did his brethren believe in Him. The feast of Tabernacles is a seven day feast about 6 months before the Passover, this would be about 6 months to the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus. Leviticus 23:34-36 explains the feast. (Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.) At the time of the feast of Tabernacles, the priest would carry water in gold vessels into the temple for the first six days, they carried no water on the seven day. Keep this in mind when we reach verses 37. ...

John Chapter Seven 21-31

John 7:21-31 Wednesday, February 27th, in the year of our Lord 2008
21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and you all marvel. 22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision, not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers, and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. 23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, so that the law of Moses should not be broken; why are ye angry at Me? Is it Because I have made a man 100% whole on the sabbath day? 24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. As we read verses 21-23, we see that no matter what we say, the Lord knows the truth. Back in verse 20 and 19b we saw the people try to lie to the Lord. The people said, “Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill Thee?” in answer to Jesus asking them “Why go ye about to kill Me? ” Yet we know that these same people in just six short months will be yelling “Crucify Him, crucify Him!” and here we have Jesus asking them why it is that they will not violate the law of Moses when it comes to circumcising an eight day old baby boy, by mutilating him in his private parts, yet they condemn God Himself for healing, curing and raising from the dead on the Sabbath?...

John Chapter Seven 32-53

John 7:32-53 Friday, February 29th, in the year of our Lord 2008
32 The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning Jesus; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take Him. It is time to talk a little about the Pharisees. They were the group of Jews who were strict adherents to the commentary written by man, on God’s law as given to Moses. They had lost sight of what God had said and instead replaced it with what those who wrote the commentaries, plain men, not God inspired men, knew that God really meant to say. They were men who considered themselves to be the Jews of the Jews, as Paul said while describing himself before King Agrippa in Acts chapter 26:

I'm going to take a few days off.

Tuesday, March 4th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Then came Jesus to His disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. (Matthew 26:45 ACP/KJV expanded)Jesus told them to take their rest because He know that after He was crucified and after He ascended up into heaven times would get tough. He knew that we who preach would suffer a type of burnout. I have been spending between 4 and 6 hours a day working on the Gospel of John, now that I am one third through it, I am going to take this week off. But there are some things I would like you to think about, and pray about during this week....

Give thanks

Wednesday, March 5th, in the year of our Lord 2008
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1Thessalonians 5:18 ACP/KJV) Some of you may remember that around the first of the year I put up a small announcement looking for someone to refinance my house for around $100,000 or so. Now I’m going to tell you what that was all about. Last year, as most of you know, my daughter in law died, leaving my eldest son with a house, payments, and a three year old daughter. Quite a handful for anyone, but for men there are no support groups, so Dan’s mom and I offered to spend a year helping him and Kellie get back on their feet. I had figured that it would be easy for me to get a job working in a church, after all, I am somewhat qualified to fill just about any position in a church, from pastor to janitor. No luck, not even an interview. So, I figured I could work in the secular world ...

John Chapter Eight verses 1-11

John 8:1-11 Monday, March 10th, in the year of our Lord 2008
1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. Jesus went unto, which is to, not into which would be into a cave or a hole, indentation or the such. He went to the mount of Olives, a place He seemed to favor for rest and prayer....

John Chapter Eight verses 12-24

John 8:12-24 Tuesday, March 11th, in the year of our Lord 2008
12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I AM, the Light of the world, he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. What Jesus is saying here is that He is God, He clarifies this by saying, He is the Light of the world. What does He mean by the light of the world? Around 98 AD Jesus gave John one of the greatest pleasure ever, He allowed John to not only see heaven, but to see the future as well. John then came back to earth and wrote the Book of the Revelation of Christ Jesus, aka the Book of Revelation, the last book of the Bible.

John Chapter Eight verses 25-36

John 8:25-36 Wednesday, March 12th, in the year of our Lord 2008
25 Then said they unto Him, Who art Thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but He that sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of Him. 27 They understood not that He spake to them of the Father. As they asked again, “who are You?” do you think that perhaps Jesus wanted to just shake His head and wonder how the glorious creation He had made in His own image had ever gotten so dumb? You think the public schools are putting out mind numb robots today, imagine what they were producing 1,975 years ago. “Who art Thou?” They had to be either kidding or as dumb as today’s abortionist, evolutionist and those who stand on the side of the road with signs that read “Peace, war never solved anything.”...

John Chapter Eight verses 37-45

John 8:37-45 Thursday, March 13th, in the year of our Lord 2008
37 I know that ye are Abraham's offspring. But ye seek to kill Me because My word hath no place in you. In the original 1611 KJV the word “offspring” is translated as “seed”, since we now know that the singular seed, refers to Jesus, they could not be the seed, but are indeed offsprings of Abraham. Jesus is the seed, the jews are the offsprings or decedents. The original word in the Greek is “sperma”, and is properly defined as something sown, such as a seed which would include the male "sperm" therefore by implication, it would be Abraham’s offspring(s) or descendants. ...

John Chapter Eight verses 46-59

John 8:46-59 Friday, March 14th, in the year of our Lord 2008
46 Which of you *convinceth Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe Me? 47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God. *notice that word “convinceth” It is much more than simply convicts or is able to convince. It is, in the Greek, “elegcho”, it is pronounced el-eng'-kho and it means to confute, to admonish, to convict, convince, prove a fault, and rebuke. It is not just one of those definitions, the definition is made up of all; to confute, to admonish, to convict, convince, prove a fault, and rebuke. ...

John Chapter Nine verses 1-23

John 9:1-23 Monday, March 17th, in the year of our Lord 2008
1 And as Jesus passed by, He saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?” This is a question we never hear today, but maybe it is one we might want to ask ourselves at times. Can a child be a warning or even a curse to parents because of their behavior or deeds? How many children are born with serious birth defects because of drug use by either or both parents? How many children are conceived by parents having sexually transmitted diseases resulting in the child being born blind, lame, crippled or mentally retarded? Yes, we might, at times look at a child and ask God “Master, who did sin, this child, or it’s parents, that it was born like this?” ...

John Chapter Nine verses 24-34

John 9:24-34 Wednesday, March 19th, in the year of our Lord 2008
24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, “Give God the praise. We know that this Man(Jesus) is a sinner”. 25 He answered and said, “Whether He be a sinner or not, I know not. One thing I know, that whereas I was blind, now I see.” 26 Then said they to him again, “What did He to thee? how opened He thine eyes?” 27 He answered them, “I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be His disciples?” The leaders of the Jews, the ones who really hated Jesus are now backed into a corner. They have a man who was blind, everyone knew it, and they have no explanation for it. So they try tricking the man, they say to him, “Give God the praise”. Now if they had left it at that, they would have been fine, but they had to get their dig in so they added. “We know that this Man(Jesus) is a sinner.” I believe they felt that by having prefaced it with “Give God the praise”, that they might have trapped the man who had been blind into saying, “yes, praise God.” and by doing so, by neglect, agreed with them on the important part, to them, “We know that this Man(Jesus) is a sinner....

John Chapter Nine verses 35-41

John 9:35-41 Friday, March 21th, in the year of our Lord 2008
35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when He had found him, He said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He answered and said, “Who is He Lord, that I might believe on Him?” 37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen Him, and it is He that talketh with thee. 38 And he said, “Lord, I believe”. And he worshiped Him. Are you starting to see what big news Jesus and all He did were in Jerusalem? No sooner had the man who had been blind and was given his sight by the Lord, cast out by the Jewish religious leaders, than this city of over a million, was abuzz with the news. Jesus who knew all things, ask the man a question, it is a question that He already know the answer to, but He ask it so that the man will have the opportunity to make a decision and a public confession.

John Chapter Ten verses 1-13

John 10:1-13 Tuesday, March 25th, in the year of our Lord 2008
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth into the sheepfold not by the door, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief(satan) and a robber(devils). 2 But He that entereth in by the door is the Shepherd of the sheep. 3 To Him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear His voice: and He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. Do you see that word “sheepfold”? Because it is followed by “the door”, it is often times thought to mean a place where sheep are kept. But, that isn’t what it means, sheepfold as used in verse one is translated from the Greek word “probaton,” it means a gathering of sheep. So it is, in this instance not a place where Christians are kept, but the body of Christians that make up the church. He who comes where Christians are, are here divided into two. First are those who come into the body of Christians to lie and try to deceive. True Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians will know that they are not to follow such. The other who enters in is Christ, who knows our names, calls us and we follow Him where ever He would have us to go. ...

John Chapter Ten verses 14-30

John 10:14-30 Wednesday, March 26th, in the year of our Lord 2008
14 I am the Good Shepherd, and know My sheep, and am known of Mine. 15 As the Father knoweth Me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down My life for the sheep. Jesus is the Good Shepherd, we who are Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, are His sheep. He knows us and we know Him. Daily in the local, national and world wide news the proof of this statement is shown over and over again. Wars, drugs, rape, incest, adultery, etc, etc, etc. But we who are His are secure. For by the very blood of the Lord God of Creation are we freed and bought....

John Chapter Ten verses 31-42

John 10:31-42 Friday, March 28th, in the year of our Lord 2008
31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered (responded to) them, Many good works have I showed you from My Father; for which of those works do ye stone Me? This answer is one we should ponder. For Jesus could have said: “so, you want to play with stones huh? Ok, let me show you what the Creator of the Universe can come up with for stones. You throw that stone and I’ll throw a ten ton meteor.” But He didn’t. Instead He said, “Are you stoning Me for giving sight to the blind? (chapter nine)” “Are you stoning Me because I healed the crippled man at the pool of Bethesda? (chapter five)” “Let me guess, you’re going to stone Me because I fed 60,000 people with a handful of bread and a couple of fish? (chapter six)” “No, so which of the good works, that I did in the name of the Father, are you stoning Me for?” ...

Only a miracle can save the USA now!

Friday, April 18th, in the year of our Lord 2008
It has been some 45 years since the governments of the United States went on the attack against Christ. Now Christ is starting to fight back. And now we cannot turn and say God help us, for it is God who is causing the attack on us. Throughout the Old Testament we see God attacking the false gods of a people. And so it is now. Our national gods of money, leisure, sex and pride are under attack. Our god of money is becoming worthless we are, at present, seeing the worst inflation since the infamous Jimmy Carter. We are on pace to see a 20% inflation this year. ...

Then what would you do with your TV?

Exodus 20:2-18 Friday, May 2nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
I was wondering just how to do this thought so as to have the most impact, then I decided, impact should be left up to the Lord, I’ll just bumble on through it as I always do. Let me ask you a question or two, do you have a televison? Do you rent movies? Do you own movies? Do you ever go to the movie theater or to the life theater? What if you decided that from this time on you would watch no televison show, no movie, no entertainment or ad that glorified or condoned breaking even one of the Ten Commandments? Would you still need a televison? Would you ever again go to the theatre or movies? What if you said, “from this point on, if it violates , condones, or suggest the breaking of even one of the Ten Commandments I will not allow it into my mind.” ...

Do you mourn?

Matthew 5:4 Monday, May 5nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
There is a theory out there, it goes like this.
God created all things in six days and rested the seventh. He did this, by my reckoning, around 6,400 years ago. The Apostle Peter said: “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.’ For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water. Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished. But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same (W)word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. ...

In twelve years, this is only the second or third time.

Monday, May 7nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
In the last twelve years of American Christian Patriot, this will be only the second or third time that I would have given the entire thought over to a woman. Today’s thought is from Myra Marstaller, on how she raised her children to fear the Lord.At the service last Sunday night, I mentioned how I thought it near impossible for us today to understand what is meant by “fear the Lord”. Pastor Jim Marstaller’s wife Myra said that she had taught her children, from a very early age, how to fear the Lord every time she had to discipline them. I then asked how she did that and why she thought she had taught them to actually fear the Lord, as the word fear was meant in the original tongues. She explained and I said. “Myra, in the past twelve years I have only made this offer once or twice, once to Cecily and once to Janice Burzlaff, I do not like giving up my space on Christianpatriot.com, but, I will. If you would like, I’ll give Wednesday’s thought over to you if you will write up what you have just told me.Fear ye the Lord, by Myra Marstaller wife of Pastor Jim Marstaller. ...

Happy big 60 Israel.

Isaiah 43:5&6Thursday, May 8nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
Around 2700 years ago the Lord God said through the pen of the Prophet Isaiah: “ For I am the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee. Since thou wast precious in My sight, thou hast been honorable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. 5 Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west; 6 I will say to the north, ‘Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring My sons from far, and My daughters from the ends of the earth.” ...

Wake-Up!

Matthew 24:32-39Monday, May 12nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
First, I want to tell you a bit about the Apostle Paul. Unlike the other Apostles, Paul was a theologian, he was a Pharisee being groomed for the Sanhedrin. He had studied at the finest Hebrew schools and with the finest Hebrew scholars of the day. Paul was very close to the chief priest and was both Jewish and a Roman Citizen. While the other Apostles had three years with the Lord, where they traveled with Him and spent every waking and most sleeping hours with Him, they had to share the Lord with others and each other. But, not Paul, Paul had the Lord all to himself for three years. As such, the writings of Paul are extensions of what Jesus said, they are oft times clarifications of things the Lord said while on earth. Today we are going to start looking at one such possible instance. Towards the end of His 3rd year of preaching Jesus said, concerning the end times: ...

Wake-Up!

part two2 Timothy 3:1-2Tuesday, May 13nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
Yesterday, close to the end of the thought was this: “So, what are these signs of Noah that Jesus was referring to? Perhaps, just perhaps Jesus elaborated further to us through the pen of His Apostle Paul. 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent (without self control), fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: (2 Timothy 3:1-5 ACP/KJV) ...

part three 2 Timothy 3:3-7Tuesday, May 20nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
Last Tuesday we looked at verses one and two of 2 Timothy 3, today we will continue by going on through verses three, four, and five. The object is to show that we are in the last days and that the Lord could call for His bride at any time. But I want to mention something to you. Even if the Lord doesn’t rapture His bride shortly, you are going to die just the same. Are you ready? Are you ready to face Christ Jesus? Let me explain something to you. In the event of rapture, only those who are Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians will be raptured, those who died as Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians go first and then those who are alive Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians within a micro second join them and to meet the Lord in the clouds, meaning the heavens. ...

Wake Up

part four 2 Timothy 3:1,6&7Thursday, May 22nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
Towards the end of Wake Up part three, I said “Thursday I am going to cover why I have addressed most of this to men and what is meant by verses one, six, and seven.” First, why have I addressed this more to men than to both sexes? The answer is quite simple really, for in addressing his letter to Timothy, Paul is addressing it more to men. For he says in the beginning of verses two “ For men shall be” he then goes on to list eighteenseparate characteristics of men and the world in the last days. Then in verse six he says “For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts...” So, now do you see why I address most of these 19 to men?...

So, you think persecution hasn't come to Christians in the good ole US of A?

John 15:20Tuesday, May 27nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
So, you think persecution hasn’t come to Christians in the good ole US of A? Think again. But you say; “Pastor I’m not being persecuted and neither are any of my friends.” Might that be because you aren’t doing anything for the Kingdom of God? But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; (Matthew 5:44 ACP/KJV) Nothing works better to turn a persecutor into a brother than prayer for their salvation. Just remember, don’t put Jesus in a box, let Him do what needs to be done to open the persecutors eyes. ...

No, God does not speak idly!

Genesis 3:16-8Thursday, May 29nd, in the year of our Lord 2008
No God doesn’t speak just to hear Himself talk! No He didn’t just put stuff in His book to us, the Holy Bible, the absolute Word of God, just to fill space. And He said much, much more, much more that we do not even have. “And there are also many other things which Jesus did and said, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. The Apostle John around 37AD. Well tis the time for babies to be born and gardens to be planted, so what better to look at, then what God said would happen to both men and women around this time of the year, for ever and ever till He comes for His Bride. ...

...only He who now letteth,

Who? 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3Tuesday, June 3rd, in the year of our Lord 2008
Let’s go look at who ‘letteth’ is, let me start by showing the Scripture itself. Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: (2 Thessalonians 1-3a ACP/KJV) Paul is telling the Thessalonians that while they had received word, in a letter that appeared to have come from him, that the Lord had already returned, it was untrue. He told them that they should not believe such a thing, that they should know by the Scriptures when it will happen. And that it makes no difference if they hear it is or has happened by letter from him, by spirits, by intuition, by rumors, televison, nightly news, the local clergy, the pope, or anyone else. For Scripture tells when it will happen, and if they know Scripture, they can not be deceived. ...

Heal thyself.

Not James chapter five Wednesday, June 4rd, in the year of our Lord 2008
Have you ever noticed, that for some reason and in many cases, we cannot heal ourselves? I have seen many healing in my life, many healings that I knew came directly by the use of prayer. A few years back, Pastor Warren Feustel and I went to visit his wife who was in a nursing home in the last stages of Parkinson’s disease. The nursing home had called and told him that she had developed a severe case of shingles. Now those of you who did better than me in advanced human biology know that shingles is extremely painful. Rev. Feustel and I went to the nursing home, anointed his wife with oil, laid our hands on her and prayed over her. Within that self same day, in less than one hour, the shingles were gone. We prayed one prayer for Warren’s wife and that was that she would not suffer in pain. Helen died not many months after that, yet she never suffering any pain, not even that day she had the shingles. Is it Scriptural that one can heal others yet be unable to heal himself? ...

No, it is not, "mother nature", it is "The Lord God Creator of all things."

Deuteronomy 5:11Friday, June 6th, in the year of our Lord 2008
I have, on many occasions, heard God referred to as the "Man upstairs", "The big Cohuna", “mother nature”, and even "the big Guy" and "the Great Father". There was one, a long time ago, that referred to Jesus as "the Man",, you would probably not want to pattern yourself after him. Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged Him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe, and said, "Hail, King of the Jews!" and they smote Him with their hands. Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, "Behold, I bring Him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in Him." Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, "Behold the man!" (John 19:1-5 ACP/KJV) ...

part five Revelation 3:5&6 Monday, June 9th, in the year of our Lord 2008
The sound you have just heard, are hearing or are about to hear, depending upon your internet connection speed is called the Teruah, the instrument it is being played on is the Shofar.(To hear it again, hit the refresh key) It was, in ancient Israel the call of alarm. The Teruah is the Shofar call when Israel was about to be attacked, a call to arms so to speak. What a fitting call to start to days thought with. Have you noticed the price of oil recently? What is it costing you to fill your tank these days? How much of your after tax income is going to fuel to get you back and forth from work? As in English, the word oil in the Greek, elaion, is the same word used for olive oil, vegetable oil, or carbon based oil such as heating oil or diesel fuel or the oil used to make gasoline. Back in 2002 I did an in-depth study of the Revelation of Christ Jesus through His servant John, the Book of Revelation. ...

I have a thing or two to say, before going on to why some think we, the Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, will not be raptured till the end of the seven years of the great tribulation. First, I want to introduce you to a great secret, 90% of Christianpatriot.com and my other writings and studies are available to you and you can find them by simply going to our very own google search engine at ChristianPatriot.com/search.htm. Before writing to me and making an absolute fool of yourself by accusing me of something you have heard, go to the search engine and search my writings. Don’t be a fool as like one who recently wrote and accused me of being a Republican party member first and a Christian second. He actually accused me of suggesting that you vote for the lesser of two evils, Senator Juan McCain. Look, if you are not sure of where I stand on an issue, go to the search engine and put in the word or words of the subject. Such as homosexual, abortion, McCain, etc. Next, I and Cecily will be gone for the next 2 weeks, I will not be putting up a thought for at least 18 days. ...

Humble and Arrogant.

James 4:1-10 Friday, July 11th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Ah, It is good to be back, let us look at he who was Humble and she who is Arrogant. Some 6,430 years ago there dwelt two people on the earth, the earth was beautiful and without sin. Then one day the woman, called Eve, got arrogant and felt that she was too good to be a woman, a helpmate, 49% of the 100% first couple. She felt she should be equal to not only Adam, but to God. Some 2,400 years later there was anther woman, her name was Miriam, she too got arrogant, and she too felt she should be more than God had assigned her. And as Eve had revolted against God and Adam, Miriam revolted against God and Moses. The examples of Eve and Miriam should have been enough to cause women to be content, and in some few instances they are, but, today, as in the time of the Garden of Eden and the time of Moses, there are women who refuse to accept their roles and insist on usurping both the authority of God and man. Today, not even all who are really Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian women are willing to be subservient to both God and their own husbands. Let us ponder God’s word: ...

Want to stop the crisis?

Proverbs 6:16-19
Monday, July 14th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Tired of watching California burn? Tired of seeing floods wash away the top soil in the midwest? Tired of paying four plus bucks a gallon for gas, 5 a gallon for diesel and 4.50 a gallon for heating oil? The answer is simple, turn from televison to the Word of God and His word. These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him: ...

The word is oil, elaion.

James 5:14 & Revelation 6:6Wednesday, July 16th, in the year of our Lord 2008
For a lot of years the word oil in James 5:14 has ben misunderstood to mean the medicine prescribed by doctors. It has been more defined as pharmaceutical things rather than oil. Yet, the identical word, elaion, is used in Revelation 6:6 and elaion there has never been understood to mean anything other than oil as in cooking or fuel.Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil(elaion) in the name of the Lord: (James 5:14 ACP/KJV) ...

Always be on your guard, never let your guard down.

Friday, July 19th, in the year of our Lord 2008
I want to tell you a story. I do not know that it is fact, but fact or not, truth or not, it demonstrates the point. I heard not long ago that the Rev. Billy Graham allowed himself to be interviewed by one of the heathen satan worshipers on CNN. Supposedly the heathen asked Rev. Graham if he was a registered voter and if so what party. Supposedly Rev. Graham replied that he was registered as a Democrat. That supposed interview (and believe me I have no idea whether it ever happened or not, for I do not have cable and I watch no more than 180 hours of television a year) set off a firestorm of controversy. How could pro-life Billy Graham belong to the party of the homosexuals, the party that embraces the slaughter of infants trapped in the womb, the party of pornography as free speech? How could Rev. Billy Graham belong to the very party that has been the fabricator of the constitutional interpretation that kicked the Lord God, the Creator of the Universe, Christ Jesus out of our public square? ...

Just what is a Truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian?

Matthew 13Monday, July 21st, in the year of our Lord 2008
As most of you know, I am not one of those who falls for the “Once Saved Always Saved” slogan. Just as I find slogans like; “love the sinner but hate the sin” rather foolish and with no real meaning, so do I find “Once Saved Always Saved” more than a bit hollow as well.Today we are going to look at exactly, or more or less exactly how I define a “Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian.” First I think it is important for all to understand that I am a Bible literalist. I firmly believe with all my heart and soul that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, the Trinity, are not only One, but have caused every word in the Bible to be written. That They either in concert or individually dictated every word that is written in the Book we call the Holy Bible. ...

Jesus asked this question.

Luke 18:8bMonday, July 28st, in the year of our Lord 2008
Some 1,976 years ago Jesus asked this question: “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?(Luke 18b ACP/KJV) Have you ever pondered that question? If not, why not? ...

An open letter to Jews, Roman Catholics, Muslims and the rest of the unsaved.

Tuesday, July 29st, in the year of our Lord 2008
As an internet preacher, I need to work to make ends meet. These days I do this by selling Christian movies, herbs, antioxidants, and a few other things. Soon, very soon, there will be a store on ACP where you can buy things over the net from us. One of the things I most often hear is “do yu guarantee this?”I can’t guarantee anything of this world, I can not guarantee that a brand new generator or inverter will start. I can’t guarantee that a brand new deep cycle battery will hold a charge or that one herbal formulas will cure you. For these things are all of this world. But what I can guarantee you of is this: ...

Creation vs evolution.

2 Peter 3:1-6 ACP/KJVWednesday, July 30th, in the year of our Lord 2008
There are but two choices to make in life. You can either follow and belong to Jesus or follow and belong to satan. Likewise there are only two world views to choose between, you can believe that God created the world in six literal twenty four hour days or that the world evolved. These two choices are 180 degrees opposite one and other, there is no middle ground, and there is and can be no compromise. ...

Jesus said, I suggest.

Hebrews 4:1-10Thursday, July 31st, in the year of our Lord 2008
In Matthew chapter twenty-four, the Lord is telling His apostles about the end times. In verse 20 He says, But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: Today we are going to look at Hebrews chapter four, verses one thru ten. My suggestion to you, as you read today’s thought is that you start putting more emphasis on your eternity than on your maybe retirement. That you start putting more emphasis on doing the work of the Lord than your work at leisure. That you start putting more thought into being a Christian than you do about being an anything else. ...

Don't worry, God is in control

Matthew 5:4 and Luke 6:25Monday, August 4th, in the year of our Lord 2008
How often have you heard people or even preachers say, concerning the troublesome times we live in today, “Don’t worry, God is in control”. Now. Understand this, I understand and agree 100% with the fact that God is in control. But as for the don’t worry part, I’m not at all sure that should be preached or taught. First a bit of a Greek lesson. We are going to look at the word mourn as it appears in Matthew 5:4 and Luke 6:25. ...

Why I carry a gun

Lamentations 4:9aTuesday, August 5th, in the year of our Lord 2008
As you know, I firmly believe that the answer to ever question a Christian can possibly have is found in the word of God, the Holy Bible. I also believe that God, given time, will reveal to you everything you need to know about yourself in His word, the Holy Bible. As many of you know, I always carry a gun. It is very seldom that I go anywhere unarmed. I half jokingly say, in answer to the question, “why do you carry a gun?” “Because I can’t carry a cop in my back pocket.” But that is not nearly as truthful as the answer found in the Bible. One day, and I believe this day is coming soon, here in the USA it will be open season on devout Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians. ...

Let us have a bit of fun.

Genesis 39:1Monday, August 11th, in the year of our Lord 2008
For the last couple of weeks, Pastor Jim Marstaller has been discussing the word “officer” as it appears in Genesis 39:1. Part of that discussion has centered around the Hebrew word and its meaning that was translated as “officer” by the translators of 1611 and before. A good translation without a doubt. First let us look at the Scripture, then we shall look at what groups would today fill the definition of the Hebrew word used in the original Hebrew text of Genesis 39:1. And then let us look at the Hebrew word and its definition. ...

Are you, like me, hiding your candle under a basket?

Luke 11:33Tuesday, August 12th, in the year of our Lord 2008
The light of our lives should be what Jesus did on the cross for us and our sharing of that wonderful knowledge with all others. But do we? I don’t. Are you like me, are you keeping the wonderful news of the salvation of mankind by the Blood of Christ under a blanket and to yourself? No man, when he hath lighted a candle, puts it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light....

For the sake of Israel, must Christians vote for McCain?

Genesis 12:3Thursday, August 14th, in the year of our Lord 2008
As we all know there is an election coming up, and it is one in which every member of the house is up for re-election, or God willing replacement. It is an election where one third of the Senate will either be re-elected, or God willing replaced. And it is an election where a new president will be elected. Now before we go on, let me say there is only one thing I agree with Barak Hussein Obama about and that is his rant about change. Yes we need change, but not the type of change that Obama or McCain would bring us. After 170 years of unscrupulous, corrupt, Christ hating reign by the Democrats and the Republicans, what this nation needs is a change from them. A change for the corrupt satan serving Republican and Democrat party. Think about our Republic and then ponder what the shiftless bums of the Republican and Democrat party have done to it and the people that own it. ...

God, husbands, wives, patience. Ephesians

Ephesians 5:25-33Friday, August 15th, in the year of our Lord 2008
The Lord has impressed upon my heart the importance of doing another thought on the relationships of husband and wife. For as the economy turns for the worse, as food prices go higher and higher and overtime becomes more and more a thing of the past, troubles in marriage are becoming more and more prevalent. Lord, help me to get this right, amen. Which of you out there, when he hits his finger with a hammer, slams it in a door, or gets a splinter, amputates that finger? Which of you when you get dust, dirt or even a piece of metal in your eye, goes to the 'doctor' at a planned parenthood slaughter house and says, "take this troublesome eye out."? ...

Know thy enemy!

Matthew 13:25Monday, August 18th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Who is your enemy? Is it not satan, the devil, his minions, his ilk and those who serve him both knowingly and unknowingly? Yet how much do you know about your enemy? Before the United States joined World War One, the military wanted to know all about the enemy. Before we entered World War Two, the military wanted to know the size, the tactics, the success and failures of the enemy. Before we attacked Iraq, the military wanted to know the strategies, the tactics, the manpower, the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy. Yet we, as Christians, know little about satan. We do not study his tactics, his strengths, his weaknesses, his wins and his losses. Why not? Jesus spoke this parable unto them, saying, ... But while men slept, his enemy came ... ...

Know thy enemy!

Weather guessers in Maine should end with "Thy will be done Lord."

Genesis 3:16 & Deuteronomy 5:16Tuesday, August 19th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Well, once again it’s raining outside, this after the weather guessers last night were all telling us that we are in for a run of nice cloudless blue skied summer days. But, it appears that God has different plans. Perhaps, just perhaps, the weather guessers should end each report with their eyes and hands raised towards heaven saying: “But, Thine will be done Lord, not mine, but Thine, for all creation, including the weather is in Thy hands and control.” Maybe, just maybe, then God would let them be right once in a while. As I was pondering today’s thought, a thought I want to do on how a careful reading of Genesis 41, starting with verse 46a and then going to verses 33-44, is a picture of the relationship of God the Father with God the Son and those special and blessed people that the Lord God of Creation, Christ Jesus, chooses to allow into His family, but that thought will be later this week. But as I pondered, I was faced with the cold hard reality of ...

Two schools of thought on "brethren"

Matthew 12:46-49Thursday, August 21st, in the year of our Lord 2008
Well, the fear mongering has begun. The Republican party in their never ending attempt to get Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians to give up their principles, dedication, and first love to Christ and switch that allegiance to the Republican party, has once again started the fear mongering of “The Fairness Doctrine”.They are screaming from the roof tops of Christian radio, fear the democrats, fear Obama, fear, fear, fear, for if the democrats win the White House and the Congress, the dreaded “Fairness Doctrine” will get implemented. And just what is this so called Fairness Doctrine? As I understand it, the fairness doctrine is some kind of law, much like the one making it illegal for you to remove the tag from your mattress. It would make it a requirement that Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, and Sean Hannity have people on their shows with opposite viewpoints. Duh, they already do that, as a matter of fact it is easier for a liberal to get on the Hannity show than it is for a conservative. That’s evidenced by the fact that Hannity claims that Mitt Romney is a conservative. ...

The senses of sight and hearing

Matthew 13:16Friday, August 22nd, in the year of our Lord 2008

God has given us five senses, the senses of touch, smell, taste, and the two we will ponder today, sight and hearing. This is not to denigrate touch, smell and taste, nor is it to try and make the senses of sight and hearing of more importance than taste, touch, and smell. But it is sight and hearing that the last four or five thoughts have been about, and they will continue to be the underlying focus for a bit to come. If thoughts had key phrases, and I guess I should have been using key phrases for the last ten years, but if they did, which they don’t, the key phrases would be; senses and words have meanings. For words do indeed have meanings, very specific meanings, yet oft times we use words without giving them a thought other than the emotions we feel. Let me give you an example, President Bush is not a Nazi, yet many in the media and public and even in colleges, universities and the body politic refer to him as such. And just as the importance of words having meanings is the senses of hearing and sight. ...

How to separate the seeker from the non-seeker.

John 3:1-21Monday, August 25th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Over the years I have come to realize that every question we could possibly have is answered within the pages of the Holy Bible. Somewhere between the “In the beginning” of Genesis chapter one and the “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” of Revelation 22:21 lies the answer, for those who are truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, for every question. All we need to do is go to the Lord, ask His help (Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:3) and then let the Holy Spirit guide us to the answer. Today, I am going to give you an example of what I mean. The question is: How do you know if a person is really seeking the Lord and salvation or just playing games or even worse looking for a way to undermine you, your faith, and perhaps even those around you? The answer is found in Scripture as we will see, in John chapters three and eight where we see one who is really seeking and ones who are working for satan and trying to undermine. ...

One answer and a question

Luke 18:8bWednesday, August 27th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Well, I’m a little short on time this morning, I have to drive up to Hamden, Maine about 3.5 hours each way. So, what I’m going to do is answer a couple of questions and then ask one of my own for you to ponder. Question one: Pastor, how would you handle collections, tithes and offerings? Answer: If the Lord decided to give me a church where I had a congregation sitting before me, this is the way I would handle collections/ tithes and offerings. After the morning offering I would have the collection baskets brought forward and placed on a table or on the floor at the front of the church, in plain view of all. ...

Can you move a mountain?

John 14:12-14Friday, August 29th, in the year of our Lord 2008
Words have meanings! We hang on every word of some, but ignore the words of God the Creator. Why is that? Why do folks listen to politicians, preachers, cab drivers and the flagger directing traffic, but, when it comes to the very Word of God and His word, say, “Oh, that’s only symbolic”? >Guys, along, long time ago, about 4800 years ago, in a town called Babylon, a town where a tower was being built, God said: Behold, the people is one, and they have all one anguage; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let Us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So God came down to Babylon and while on the way invented about a thousand new and different languages, so that He and only He could understand each and everyone of them. He then put the different languages into different people and while they could no longer understand each other, He could understand all of their speech and thoughts for He had invented all the languages they now spoke and thought....

Ye must be Born Again! YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN!

John 3:3Saturday, August 30th, in the year of our Lord 2008 Saturday, August 29th, in the year of our Lord 2008
My God, my God, what must we do to make them understand? You will read the direction manual to fix a minor problem with your computer. You will read books on why your kid is acting like an infidel. You’ll read the manual before buying a car, truck or electric food mixer, yet you will ignore the very words of God the Creator. Jesus was not being symbolic when He said: YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN! One night Nicodemus, a leading Rabbi in Jerusalem came to Jesus. This is what transpired between Jesus and Nicodemus. ...

Choose ye this day.

Ecclesiastes 8:9-13Monday, Labor Day September 1st, in the year of our Lord 2008
Gentlemen, the Republic is all but dead! The past 170 years of tyrannical rule by the Democrats and the Republicans has left our Republic, our Constitution and in many ways, our Christian faith with but a shallow breathe of life left. Two of the worst men possible have managed to procure a place on the ballot for the high office of President of these United States, Barak Obama a man who hates Christ, the Republic, our Constitution and freedom as much as any foreign enemy ever dared. And on the Republican side a man not much better in any respect and just as bad when it comes to his hatred of the Born Again Church, John McCain. These two despises of the Constitution and the Republic have now put us in a position to where we must face the reality that without the intervention of Christ, our Republic is doomed. For one hundred and seventy years wicked men have slowly but surely infiltrated and undermined our Constitutional Republic, our government, and to a large degree fundamental Christianity. ...

I will not vote for McCain or Obama!

Psalm 15
Monday, September 8th, in the year of our Lord 2008

My dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, please, please, please stop sending me things trying to convince me that I should vote for John McCain because he has anointed Sarah Palin as his running mate. Please understand this, I am not going to vote for either McCain or Obama. Now, let me agree with you that Sarah Palin is the best of the four on the ballot for President and Vice President. It is a sad day for the Republic and it is a sad commentary that the best the two major parties could come up with is Obama/Biden and McCain/Palin. But what is even sadder is the number of Christians who are so desperate for a political saviour that they are willing to put aside conscience, Christianity, and self respect to vote for McCain because he anointed the gal from Alaska. I cannot help but wonder two things, are you that desperate and fooled or is it that you can shave with your eyes closed so that you don’t have to look yourself in the face each morning? Are you not like those who rejected Jesus because He had not come as a warrior king? ...

Would you like to do a weekly Bible study in your home?

Exodus 22:22-24
Wednesday, September 10th, in the year of our Lord 2008

The price of fuel has become a bit of a problem for many. Oh sure it isn’t for some, but for the vast majority of us it is becoming more and more of a strain on the budget to fill the tank. Back a few weeks back on August 18th, I wrote this: “I was faced with the cold hard reality of high fuel prices, high food prices and the unreal cost of heating homes. This of course caused me to wonder what we were going to do. The gardens and farms in Maine are a washout. The most optimistic report I have yet to get, from an honest farmer or gardener, is that his or her crops are down 40%, mine are down 85%. Yet incomes are not up. No, quite the opposite, and as a result expendable income is way down. Something is going to have to give. ...

So, a Bible study we shall have.

1 Peter 3:15
Friday, September 12th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Wednesday I asked if any of you would like to hold a Bible study in your home. The positive response has overwhelmed me. So, starting when I get back, in mid October, I will do a fundamental Bible study using the King James version of the Bible. It will be the ACP/KJV format and will begin with Genesis chapter one, verse one. All you will have to do is print out the printer friendly version of the study, which will either be done on Monday or on Monday and Wednesday, and you’ll be ready to host your own in home Bible study. If I were you, I would insist that everyone coming to the study use the KJV. The more I know about the other versions the less I like them. ...

What if, what if Jesus raptured His bride this very day.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Monday, September 15th, in the year of our Lord 2008

While in his letters to the Thessalonians, Paul tries to calm them down. I today will try and rile you up using some of the very same verses. For what if Jesus were to decide this is the day He will call us home to Himself? In that microsecond between the time the dead rise and the time we join with them in the clouds, would a name pass through your mind? Maybe the name of one you were meaning to evangelize, but never got around to for one reason or another? Back in 2006 I wrote a thought that became the “What if?” handout. Today, on the email friendly page I am going to have the handout but not in PDF format. This is so that you can email it to that one you have been thinking of evangelizing but have never gotten around to. I, for one and going to email it to no less than two people, and perhaps you have one or two you care enough to email it to also. ... (9/16/08 note: I ended up emailing to well over a dozen.)...

Well hello.

Mark 4:17
Tuesday, September 16th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Well, it is 5:30AM here in Maine, and judging from the fact that I’m still here, the Lord has not raptured His church. But what if He had? Did you reach out to anyone yesterday? I got only one email via the form mail yesterday. It was from a young man, 20 years old named Zac. Zac reminded me of how much persecution Christians in Muslim, Buddhist and other countries are suffering. He reminded me of the caste system in India. And I wondered about Christians here in the USA, I wondered how many who call themselves Christians here in the USA would stay faithful to Christ if we were subjected to 1/10th the persecution Christians in India, Somalia, and elsewhere are suffering. ...

Why do I believe in the God of the ACP/KJV Bible?

Blood
Wednesday, September 17th, in the year of our Lord 2008

In Peter’s first epistle the Holy Spirit of God tells us through the pen of Peter to “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.” And if we are to do that, shouldn’t we always be ready to question of why we believe? Now, of course the single biggest reason we believe is because once we give our life to Christ and He accepts us, we have the Holy Spirit of God dwelling within us and He confirms that Jesus is indeed the Christ and that Jesus is God. But to the heathen, the unbeliever, having a Ghost living within us, talking to us, and steering us into the truth of the word of God, is only so much nonsense. So how do we answer the non believer, the heathen, the unsaved, the one destined for the lake of fire unless he or she changes? ...

Can you take a few minutes and pray?

1 Thessalonians 5:17Friday, September 19th, in the year of our Lord 2008

This coming Tuesday, bright and early in the morning, Cecily and I will be leaving to do some prison visits in Kentucky. I would ask you to pray for our safety and the safe and mechanical problem free running of our truck and equipment. But there is more I would like you to pray for.  Pray without ceasing. (1Thessalonians 5:17) ...

Be careful to obey the will of God.

Romans 8:16Monday, September 29th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Yes, we are home. We never made it to Kentucky. We had serious mechanical problems starting the first day when we were not even mid way through Connecticut. More on that at a later date, but today I want to tell you a bit of what Christ has demanded of me. In Romans 8:16 we read: The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God. What that means is that if we are truly Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christians, God will talk to us through the Holy Spirit that dwells within us. And that our spirit will be in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. This also means that we should be especially careful to obey the word of God as He has caused it to be written, not as some commentators, preachers, and others would have you believe. Look, if I say something wrong, God will deal with me, but if that something wrong causes you to go astray, it is more your fault than mine because you should be testing every word you read or hear against the word of God. Your salvation is between you and Jesus, not me and you. ...

Satan makes it hard and will make it harder!

Proverbs 1:2-22Wednesday October 1st, in the year of our Lord 2008

Today the US Senate will vote on the 700 billion dollar bailout of the very rich and influential worldwide with YOUR money. Over the years, we have studied with great interest the tactics of the enemy, the tactics that the father of all liars, satan, against us. One of the primary lessons we have learned in these studies is that satan has, over the last 6430 years, used the twisting of or misuse of Scripture very successfully. Through twisting Scripture he first caused sin and death to come into the world by going after and deceiving Eve. Through the use of twisted Scripture satan tried to trick Jesus. He lost that one. Through the use of twisted Scripture, satan undermined and brought to naught the mainstream denominations such as the Methodists, the Roman Catholics, the Anglican church, the Episcopalians, etc. Now, I’m sure he is going after the fundamental Christian evangelical churches, the ones Jesus refers to as the Church of Philadelphia in Revelation three. ...

Sarah Palin, Nancy Peolosi, Isaiah 3 and the dismal failure of the pulpit.

Genesis 2:15-23Monday October 6st, in the year of our Lord 2008
Does the title of this thought, Sarah Palin, Nancy Peolosi, Isaiah 3 and the dismal failure of the pulpit, confuse you? If it does, then you need to go to your current pastor and the pastor that counciled you before you got married and ask him why you don’t understand it. For it is his failure to rightfully use Scripture that has you confused, not the title to this thought. Now the very first thing you must do is get your Bible and read Isaiah chapter three verse one through Isaiah chapter four verse one. Once you have done that, we are ready to continue.

Why we must forgive the Barney Frank/George Bush consortium.

Mark 11:25Wednesday October 8st, in the year of our Lord 2008
Well, it is the beginning of October, I have had to light the wood stove for the last five or six mornings since at 6AM when I get up it has been between 27 and 31 degrees outside. Yup, winter is approaching. Soon we will be having nights in the teens, then the single digits and then around CHRISTmas we can start looking forward to nights in the 20 below zero range. Thanks to Barney Frank and George Bush, the bankers and Wall Street elitists won’t have to worry about being warm, nor will members of Congress and certain others of the protected and privileged classes. But what about the retirees, the workers, the guy in the ever shrinking middle class with a wife and kids to feed and keep warm? ...

Where are your treasures?

Matthew sixMonday October 13st, in the year of our Lord 2008
How is it that we find ourselves, as a nation, with such lousy candidates for office? Could it be that God is putting rulers over us that reflect us? I think so. As you read thru Matthew chapter six, pause and pay particular attention to verses 19,20,21, and 24. And then spend some time figuring out where your treasures are. Are they treasures of earth? Or are they treasures of heaven? Each day we have hundreds of people coming to Christianpatriot.com and reading the thoughts, yet over the course of a year we receive less than $1000 in donations of money and time. Last year of that $1000, right on $ 850 was in the form of a donation made to me by a man with a machine clearing out a piece of land for a larger garden. What have you done to keep ChristianPatriot.com up? For the vast majority of you, the answer to that...

As the children of satan take center stage.

John 8:41-45Friday October 17st, in the year of our Lord 2008
Well it is election time and the sons and daughters of satan are all over the airwaves, the print media and of course the conversations from bars to church board rooms. Let me give you one of the best of satan’s kid’s lying spin. Tom Allen is a democrat Congressman from the first Congressional district of Maine. He as been in the US Congress for 12 years and is running against Maine’s infamous rino Senator Susan Collins. Collins has been in the US Senate for 12 years, so they have both been doing their best to destroy the Republic from within for the last twelve years. As members of the US Congress for the last twelve years both Congressman Allen and Senator Collins have been part of the management team that has all but destroyed the Republic. These two, the democrat and the rino both opposed the impeachment of Clinton, both opposed making President Bush’s tax cuts permanent, both have 100% pro-homosexual voting records, both have 100% pro-infanticide voting records. In other words these two are two peas in a pod. Yet, now this is funny, Tom Allens entire campaign is based upon this lie. “We need a change in management”. Like satan, his children are liars for they are the children of the inventor of the lie, satan. ...

Proverbs 22:6Monday October 20th, in the year of our Lord 2008 A special thought and prayer request from Steve Burzlaff
“I would like to ask everyone visiting Christianpatriot.com on Monday, October 20, 2008 to take a few minutes and pray for a child custody hearing that is taking place at 1:30 PM in Elizabethtown , KY. My sister-in-law, Wills mom, is challenging her ex-daughter-in-law, April, for custody, shared or sole of her two grandchildren, Kaitlin and Tayler. ...

Why I will be writing in Rev. Chuck Baldwin for President.

Isaiah 26:2-12Friday October 24th, in the year of our Lord 2008
While I will be casting my vote for Rev. Chuck Baldwin for president of these United States, I have a feeling that he who shall come away with the prize will be Barak Hussein Obama. Why do I say that? Why do I think that the people of the US will vote for a man who is a muslim, a man who is not a natural US Citizen as required by the US Constitution? I think that because God, having given us free will, has now allowed us to use that free will to destroy our own Republic. But first it is important for you to know why I am going to write in Pastor Baldwin’s name instead of casting my vote for John McCain in an effort to stop the Obama express. Please take 4 minutes to watch this video, it changes daily, but the basic message is the same.by clicking this link. It will open in a separate window....

Has God spoken to you?

Acts 2:1-21Monday October 27th, in the year of our Lord 2008

In Acts chapter two we read of men speaking in tongues. Further in chapter two we see that some who heard figured those who spoke in tongues were drunk. Then Peter stands up and explains that those speaking in tongues were not drunk but fulfilling the Prophecy spoken of by the prophet Joel in Joel 2:28-32. And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My spirit. ...

Why it will be rapture and not revival.

2 Timothy 3:1-6Wednesday October 29th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Let me try to explain why I believe, that what will take place next, is the rapture of the church and not a revival of the church. First we need to look at what both words mean. Rapture is the gathering of the church to Christ, as it is described in First Thessalonians chapter four. It that takes place just before the beginning fo the seven years of great tribulation. ...

Why Christians should not vote for the lesser of two evils, again.

1 Samuel 15:1-3,7-9,11, & 16-23Friday October 31st, in the year of our Lord 2008

If you are a Christian, it is time for you to know the candidates you are planning on voting for, for the Lord will not hold you harmless for placing a rotten king over His people. For years now the democrat and the republicans have been counting on Christians to vote for the less of the two evils. They did this knowing full well that it is against the command of God, but by the use of little emotion, they could deceive you away from God’s path time and time again. Resolve not to allow that to happen to you this year. This year resolve to do what is right in the site of the Lord, to trust in Him and not in the republican party or the democrat. Read and ponder with me as we go through what happened to the lesser of the two when Saul disobeyed God. ...

What happened?

Hebrews 4Wednesday November 5th, in the year of our Lord 2008

This morning when we woke up we discovered that we, the people of these United States had voted in communism. We had given our Liberty up for the insecurity and despotism of Marxist communism. How did it happen?, how did we get to this point?, why did God allow such a terrible thing to happen to us? It is that free will thing, we choose a path and God allowed us to follow it. He has sent man after man to warn us, He has given us the complete word of God complete with rules, regulations, warnings and the way to avoid it by Salvation, yet we choose immoral, pro satan communism over freedom and salvation. You say, oh sure it’s alluded to in the Bible but where has God sent anyone to warn us? ...

Can Obama be the anti-Christ?

First and Second ThessaloniansFriday November 7th, in the year of our Lord 2008

This is part one of what may turn out to be a long series. First let us look at what God, through the pen of Paul, tells us of the days leading up to rapture and even the day and microsecond of repture. But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren (not all mankind, only those who are Christians), concerning them which are asleep (dead Christians, not all the dead, only those who died as Christians), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope (unsaved living and dead). For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. ...

Why does Israel have a defense force?

Ezekiel 38Monday November 10th, in the year of our Lord 2008

As we read through Ezekiel chapter 38 today, you have to wonder why Israel even has a defense force. Israel, claims to be a Jewish state, they claim to believe in the Old Testament, yet they deny the power of God Almighty. Is it any wonder they turn to the anti-Christ in the end times? ...So, why does Israel have a defense force? Simple, they like many professing Christians, really don’t trust God to do what He says He is going to do. When you or a loved one gets sick who do you turn to first, the drug dealer wearing a white coat with a funny little listening device hanging around his neck or Christ? When it came to this last election, who did you turn to, to be rescued from the marxist threat called Obama? Christ or the Republican party? ...

The word is ratsach.

Luke 3:14Wednesday November 12th, in the year of our Lord 2008

In times of war, ever since the Lord gave Moses the Ten Commandments men have been faced with the question of “Can I, as a devote man of God, fight? And kill?” Each of us has to face that question and each of us must find peace within our selves and our spirit with our answer. I have been seriously pondering and praying over that very question for years. Now, I have come to realize the answer. For those of you who have been coming to ACP over the past ten years, you might say to yourself, as you read this, “Ah, but we have already covered that”. And you would be right, yet I was never positive before, now I am. ...

Is Barak Hussein Obama the anti-Christ? Or better yet,

John 3:1-21Saturday November 15th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Is Barak Hussein Obama the anti-Christ? He very well could be you know. As time goes on and more and more is known about this man, the more and more he looks like the fulfilment of the son of perdition spoken of in Second thessalonians 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day(day of rapture) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; The more we know about President elect Barak Hussein Obama the more we realize how evil this man is. How absolutely cold, calculating, hateful and sinful he is. So, yes he may very well be the anti-Christ. But the question of importance isn’t; Is Barak Hussein Obama the anti-Christ? The question that is most important is, are you ready if he is? By that I mean are you a Born Again Washed in the Blood of the Lamb Christian? Are you going to be raptured or left behind? ...

You had three choices, you chose evil.

Romans 13:1-7Monday November 17th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Well, it has been almost two weeks since the election, and it is becoming more and more apparent, at least to me, that God has ordained, as a ruler over us, exactly what you chose. What you say, “I didn’t vote for Obama, I voted for McCain and Sarah.” You chose evil! God has rewarded you by giving you evil. Now, obey God by submitting yourself to the rule of the ruler you have chosen and God has dutifully ordained. Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers (in the USA, that would be those who have been selected by the majority). For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resist the power, resist the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. ...

Barter, barter, barter, cancer, and racial strife

John 3:3Wednesday November 19th, in the year of our Lord 2008

I have oft times wondered if I could do a thought that would be almost entirely secular. Well today you will see that, indeed I can. First, with the economy the way it is, more and more are not using prescription drugs. Praise GOD!!! So, I am going to give you my cancer fighting receipt for pancakes. That’s right, pancakes that you make at home eat once or twice a week, and they fight cancer. You will need a coffee grinder or food mill of some kind, I use a ten dollar coffee grinder. For a family of four:

1/4 cup organic Apricot kernels
½ cup organic flax
1 cup organic millet
1 cup organic whole wheat or buck wheat flour
6 organic apricots diced real fine ...

Chemotherapy is not an herb, nor is radioactive bombardment.

Genesis 1:29Saturday November 22nd, in the year of our Lord 2008

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Does that sound familiar to you? Do you believe it? If so than today I want to talk to you about cancer. Today, in these once free and beautiful, United States the only allowable, by law, ways of fighting cancer are radical surgery, chemotherapy, and radioactive bombardment. All three are vicious, human hating, get rich medical and drug company schemes. They are definitely not herbs or herbal based. Read the cautions and dangers on the Chemotherapy packaging. God said to Adam some years back: “Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” ...

What in the world is going on?

Matthew 24:27&38Tuesday November 25th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Gentlemen, we live in troubling times, very troubling times. As each day passes we see one more nail driven into the coffin of the Republic, we see the forces of evil gathering strength and becoming more and more powerful. Yet we seem unable to put our finger on it, we seem unable to find the bit of proof that would seal and reinforce our suspicion. But that inability may very well be, in itself, the proof we need. Jesus said: But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark. (Matthew 24:37&38 ACP/KJV) ...

But Lord, I hate snakes.

John 15:14Monday December 1st, in the year of our Lord 2008

Last night, as usual, I awoke at around 6:AM, instead of getting up and staying up, I instead got up went to the bathroom and then went back to bed. During the next 2 hours I had a dream, in that dream I heard or better yet felt clearly this. “If you are My friend, do what I say. Go unto every nation preaching the Gospel and baptizing in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.” Then I felt myself in a place where there are snakes, could have been Africa, South Asia, or even the southern United States, I simply don’t know. All I know is that I sensed that there were snakes. ...

Are you ready for a Constitutional Convention?

Luke 12:4&5Friday December 5th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Gentlemen and ladies, today the US Supreme Court will decide whether or not to hear the case of whether or not Obama is a natural US Citizen as required in the US Constitution. “Article 2 section 5 US Constitution: No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States.” ...

How bad is homosexuality?

Genesis 3:1-19 & Romans 1:18-32
Tuesday December 9th, in the year of our Lord 2008

I am well aware that many of you get extremely agitated when I preach against the act of homosexuality. I know it and I am sorry. I am not sorry that I am hurting your feelings, I am not sorry that it is upsetting you, but I am sorry that you are so Biblically insensitive that you do not see the horror of and the end result of homosexual behavior. So, fair warning, today’s sermon deals with the death sentence for homosexual behavior, a sentence dating back over 6,400 years. It also deals with the way you are raising your children to accept homosexual behavior in direct opposition to God’s teachings. I want to show you a parallel between the disobedience of Adam and Eve and the disobedience of today’s homosexuals, their followers, their acceptors, and their defenders. ...

Fourteen days till CHRISTmas

Romans 10:14
Thursday December 11th, in the year of our Lord 2008

Well, in fourteen days we will come to the day we Christians celebrate the virgin birth of the Lord God of creation, our Lord and our saviour, Christ Jesus. Is the date of December 25th accurate? Well, probably a lot more accurate than many are willing to give credit. For you see, when you study Daniel you find the times and length of time from the time of the vison to the death of Christ on the cross. That study will show you that Christ was crucified in April of the year 33AD. A study of rabbinical law and customs of that time brings us to understand that Jesus would have started His preaching at 30 years old. A study of the Gospels teaches us that He preached for about 40 months, three years four months. Deduct 33 years 4 months from April of 33AD and you find a birth date of December 1BC/January 1AD. ...

CHRISTmas Love

Monday December 15th, 2008, 6421 years after the fall of man.

Each December, I vowed to make Christmas a calm and peaceful experience. I had cut back on nonessential obligations - endless card writing, endless baking, decorating, and even overspending. Yet still, I found myself exhausted, unable to appreciate the precious family moments, and of the true meaning of Christmas. My son, Nicholas, was in kindergarten that year. It was an exciting season for a six year old. For weeks, he been memorizing songs for his school's "Winter Pageant". I didn't have the heart to tell to tell him I'd be working the night of the production. Unwilling to miss his shining moment I spoke with his teacher. She assured me there'd be a dress rehearsal the morning of the presentation. All parents unable to attend that evening were welcome to come then. Fortunately, Nicholas seemed happy with the compromise. ...

We will stand together or we will

1 Peter 1:13-19
Wednesday December 17th, 2008, 6421 years after the fall of man.

There is nothing like a bit of adversity to test the meddle of a man, a family, a community, a nation, or even the entire body of Christ. While it should not be so, there are some bad characteristics that Christians share with the secular world, we should know better, and we do, but we roll around in the gutter just like the secular world when it comes to these things. What are these things? How about gossip? How about wanting to believe the worst about a man? How about our jumping on the pile and kicking him while he is down? What would most have you done to Paul? How loud would your voice have been at Pilate’s court, as you joined in screaming, “crucify Him, crucify Him!”? ...

Tis the time for us to understand, this is not our home

John 18:36
Friday December 19th, 2008, 6421 years after the fall of man.

A special guest thought by Dr. Alan Bean MD I have proposal. And yes, I'm quite serious. I, Alan Bean, take full responsibility for the content of this proposal. This is not a forward. These are my thoughts this Christmas season. Feel free to forward this to anyone you like and be sure to include my email address, so that those who disagree may tell me so directly.I want to see Christmas eliminated as a Federal/National holiday. Yes, you heard me correctly. No more nationally sanctioned days off from work for religious reasons. It is an obvious affront to the separation of church and state, after all. How dare our country declare an official, governmentally approved day off for the entire labor force when not all are followers of Jesus Christ?
...

It would be easier to teach a flea to understand and operate the internet

1 Corinthians 1:18
Monday December 22nd, 2008, 6421 years after the fall of man.

Have you ever tried to explain the Trinity to another Christian? Have you ever tried to explain the Trinity to a non Christian? If so then you would probably agree with me on this: It would be easier to teach a flea to understand and operate the internet than to get a non saved person to understand the Trinity. God tells us through the pen of His Apostle Paul; “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” There are some things in the bible that defy logic, that defy the understanding of man, and can only be understood, not necessarily in a manner in which you can explain to others, with the aid of the Holy Spirit. The Trinity is one of those. ...

Merry CHRISTmas 2008

Luke 1:26-38
Wednesday December 24th, 2008, 6421 years after the fall of man.

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And the angel came to her, and said, “Hail, thou that art highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.” ...

It is not a suggestion, it is a requirement

1 Timothy 3:4&5
Friday December 26th, 2008, 6421 years after the fall of man. Friday, December 26th, in the year of our Lord 2008

As you look around you see many churches where they have looked, or at the least seemed to have looked, at 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and taken them as suggestions and not requirements. We see churches hiring homosexuals, divorcees, woman, lesbians, and even preachers who are barely old enough to shave. God forbid I ever allow ChristianPatriot.com to fall to that level. We have on more than one occasion looked at Paul’s first letter to his beloved son Timothy, yet, we are going to revisit it again. I think on December 31st, you will understand why. ...

How else might God let a Pastor know that God has fired him?

1 Timothy 5:17&18
Monay December 29th, 2008, 6421 years after the fall of man.

Last Friday we looked at the importance of God weeding out those who serve Him. Before a nationwide or world wide revival can take place, there must be a cleansing of and returning to basics at the pulpit level. Friday we looked at how God could cause the family to be disrupted showing the pastor that he no longer has rule over his family and is therefore no longer qualified to lead a church, teaching, or any other work of the Lord. Today we are going to look at another way God signals a Pastor that he is no longer to preach. Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially they who labor in the word and doctrine. For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treads out the corn. And, The laborer is worthy of his reward. (1 Timothy 5:17&18) ...

And so ends 13 years.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-9
Wednesday December 31st, 2008, 6421 years after the fall of man.

ChristianPatriot.com will remain up for the time being, but there will be no more new thoughts. I’m not sure if Jesus has fired me or laid me off, but it has become clear to me that He has decided that I am no longer to do a daily or even weekly thought. As some of you may have guessed, the last two thoughts have articulated how I know that the Lord has either fired me or laid me off. I shall not risk further repercussions from Him by remaining after He has made it clear that I am to clean out my desk. ... The two primary signs, of many, that have convinced me that Jesus has removed me are first my family rebelled against me. And second I have received not one contribution since last spring/early summer. I expect to continue working on the ACP/KJV, but it will not be public. I hope that over the next few months I can go back and reread and make changes to the previous thoughts, removing some from the public domain as I have already done with all of the Gospel of John series after John chapter three. ...
