Rethinking the Apostles' Creed

Keyword: Christian Doctrine
Why is it that you never find the so called "Apostles Creed" On I have wrestled with trying to answer this for many years, now, thanks to Rev. Clifton R. Loucks, I believe I ahve found a suitable manner to explain why has never posted either the so called "Apostles Creed" or said anything positive about it. ...

Speaking in tongues

1 Corinthians 14:1-33
First I want to tell you my definition of sin. Sin is anything I say, do, think, or even dream that offends God, for anything that offends God is sin. That said, the reason I try to prevent myself from speaking in or singing in tongues is that I don't know what I am saying or singing. I don't know if I am singing or speaking praise to God or blaspheming Him. My other reason is that if I am speaking in a language that is not known to those listening, what good can it do them? Have you ever been to a Roman Catholic High Mass such as a funeral where the priest spoke in Latin? Did you have any idea what he was saying? That Priest doing the mass, my friends, is speaking in tongues. ...

1 Corinthians 16:2
First let us look at a couple of things. At the top of the list is the simple fact that God does not need your money. God neither needs your money nor really wants your money. What God does want is your loyalty to Him. In Haggai 2:8 we read that God said "The silver is mine, and the gold is mine ...

Yes, there are some who choose to ignore the Old Testament

Luke 24:25-27
No, I'm not talking about Jews. Muslims, and others who, while they should know better, don't, I talking about those who call themselves, amongst other things, new testament churches. Folks the how can you explain why Christ came to earth as a babe in the womb of a young girl without the Old Testament prophecy? ...

Once upon a time, before 33 AD, it was so easy

Acts 1:15-26

Towards the end of his first letter to the Thessalonians, Paul says "Pray without ceasing". Today that is exactly what we do when trying to make a decision, we pray without ceasing. As I write this I am pondering two very important things, well more than two, but two that I am prepared to speak about openly today. First of the two things is; there is a car in the Bangor area that I am thinking about buying, it is a 1997 VW Passat diesel four door sedan with 230,000 miles on it. The seller is asking $2900 and I can afford maybe $2200 at tops. So I keep praying asking for wisdom on whether I should buy it or not. Back before 33 AD it would have been a lot easier, first there were no cars and the second reason will be apparent at the end of the thought. ...

"Just as false prophets of old fraudulently forecast a bright future, in spite of the imminence of God's judgment so they will again in future days just before the final Day of the Lord destruction." John MacArthur
We can assume that at the end of the seven years of tribulation, nobody will be saying "peace and safety" for it will be a horrible time. So this bold statement of "peace and safety", would seem to apply to either immediately before or after the rapture. ...

And they cried out "Teach us to pray"

Luke 11:1

Words Have Meanings

Yes, words have meanings, we, here at use the word "homosexual" when we are describing same sex, sex because words have meanings and gay does not mean one man sodomizing another. We use the word "Patriot" to describe those who understand that the US is a Constitutional Republic and are willing to both abide by it and defend it. We use the word "traitor" to describe the Congress of the US, the Supreme Court of the US, the police of the US, and the media because they are all responsible for allowing an illegal alien to take over the office of president of the US, for that is what they are, traitors. ...

Romans 10:14
Yesterday a tidal wave hit Japan, in a matter of minutes, God did to or allow to happen to Japan what man could not do in years of planned devastation. Fishers of men

Mark 1:17

Jesus said, "Come ye after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men."Back in the late forties and early fifties, when I was but a lad, working men made, on average, about $80 a week. I remember hearing about the man who came to our neck of the woods, to fish, from the big city, carrying about a hundred dollars worth of fishing gear. The story was told with wonder, wondering how anyone could spend that much on fishing gear and a bit of sarcasm, because the guy couldn't fish. We kids, with or hand lines and ninety cent poles from the Five and Ten, caught more than him. ...

The devil means it for evil, but God makes it turn out well.

Genesis 50:20
First Japan suffered a 9.0 earthquake and then within minutes a 30 foot high tidal wave swept inland some 10 miles or more. Now they have nuclear reactors on the verge of melting down and it is starting to appear that the death toll may reach 100,000, maybe more. The dollar cost by the time all is said in done could easily top $1,000,000,000. Satan, his minions, his ilk and those who serve him laugh, oh not in public, but in private. They laugh and make jokes, for death and mayhem are a trade mark of the devil and his. ...

How Important is the Old Testament?

Luke 24
To fully understand this thought, you will want to read Luke chapter 24 in the KJV. If you do not have a KJV with you, you can go to God's Holy Word, the Bible, tells us how after Jesus was arrested, tortured, murdered, crucified and buried, many of His followers became discouraged. The account of two men walking home to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs, truly brings to light just how discouraged, bewildered and disappointed they were. ...

You and fifteen others have just been assigned to guard His grave. Your orders are clear, put the governors seal on the tomb and make sure no one, but no one get's near enough to touch it. Do not underestimate satan

Luke 11:17

Over the last few weeks, I have time and time again, heard how wonderful the new crop of Republicans are, and what wonderful work they are doing, turning this nation back to God. In both Luke four and Matthew four we read how satan told Christ that he owned all the governments of the world. Jesus does not argue that point with him, therefore, in essence, Jesus is confirming that satan does indeed control the governments. ...

How can you possibly turn the other cheek?

Philippians 2:15/A>
Jesus has told us that we are to turn the other cheek. He has further told us that if we abide by His word we will receive a joint inheritance with Him. How would you know if I am accurately quoting the LORD or taking His words out of context to serve my own purpose? There is but one way to find out, and that way is for you to get your head out of the televison and into the Bible, the KJV Bible, for all the others are nothing more than man's feeble attempt to take your need to seek God's help in understanding out of His book the Holy Scriptures. ...

Gen. David Petraeus proves God's word is truth

Leviticus 26 & Deuteronomy 28

General Petraeus commands some 100,000 US Military fighting men and women, he has at his disposal ships, planes, aircraft carriers and missiles on submarines hide under the sea, yet General Petraeus is a coward. It seems that as time goes on more and more non Christians want to simply get under the skin of their Christian fellow workers. Soft living breeds soft men

Job 40:7a
"Gird up thy loins now like a man" Job 40:7a
What has happened to the men? A 37 year old has to revert to lies to get rid of a 67 year old, teen boys fight like girls flaying their arms like a man who can not swim does when drowning, and then comfort each other with tears the instant one or the other draws blood. Police chiefs hire girls to protect men from criminals, their wives, and dogs. An Easter Message from Rich Christiano

Just wanted to share with our supporters a short Easter message. Hopefully this will encourage you about the power of prayer. James 5:16 that says, "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." This is an interesting verse. I wonder, do we see such power in our prayer lives? Perhaps it's because we aren't fervent or earnest in our prayers. Let me illustrate. ...

Do you understand?

Ephesians 4:17-32
Do you understand what Christ, through the pen of Paul is telling us in Ephesians 4:17-32? Guys, in these, the last days, we Christians are living in very perilous times. Our behavior, our speech, our every action is being watched and used by the forces of satan to discourage others from giving their lives to Christ. Ephesians 4:17-32 is key to understanding how we must behave, or at the very minimum, strive to behave. For on the shoulder of every seeker, is a devil sitting, pointing out every non Christian action, we as Christians make, saying to him or her, "See he is a Christian, and he loses his temper" or "See he is a Christian, and he laughs at dirty jokes" or "see He is a Christian and he doesn't say grace before eating, or he stares at those girls, or he bets on the games, or he watched that TV show last night, or he ..." ...

What was it like?

Matthew 24:37

In Matthew 24:37 Jesus says: "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Many have read that as meaning that Christ will return to either rapture His church or return as the Lion King at the end of the seven years of tribulation when things parallel the times of Noah. I agree with that assessment. What I am not going to do is get into which time frame it is, before rapture or just before the Lord returns in Revelation 19:11-21. ...

How, my Jewish friends, enemies, and others will he prove it?

Genesis 49:8-10 and Jeremiah 23:5

The Tanakh, the Hebrew Bible, is the Old Testament in the Christian Bible. The Tanakh tells us that the Messiah shall come from the tribe of Judah: Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee. Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up? To those who wish to restore the Republic

Deuteronomy 12:2&3

How can anyone say the "land of the free, the home of the brave", when referring to the United States of America anymore? Freedom in the US is now defined as allowing homosexuals to ply their perversions in the open, women allowed and encouraged to offer their babies, trapped in their wombs to satan as little human blood sacrifices, politicians to make themselves exempt from the laws they yoke the rest of us with, and borders that no longer mean anything. Freedom in the US today means allowing men and women who do not meet the qualifications of the office they seek, to hold that office with immunity from prosecution. Freedom in the US today is defined as the right of school teachers and text books to lie to children about evolution, sexually transmitted diseases, and US history. And the list goes on. Yes, those very same US Generals that ordered the burning of the New Testaments in Afghanistan, call upon Bible prophecy scholars to help them figure out when and where the next war(s) will be. Once upon a time...

Keyword: forgive

... Once upon a time, in what seems to be, a long, long time ago, with a people far different than Christians today, Christians said "God said it, I believe it, that settles it." That, sadly is no longer the way of Christians in the USA and the other 'civilized' countries of the west, the east, the north and the south today. Today, we seem to put all the forgiveness upon the shoulders of Christ, taking little or no responsibility for it ourselves. Yet God Himself has said to us many things that we must take literally, for He has also told us that not all that say "Lord, Lord", will enter into the kingdom of heaven....
