Only human mothers kill their babies! Wednesday November 27th, 2002

Tomorrow we will be celebrating the Christian holiday of Thanksgiving, most of us will sit down to a turkey dinner with all the fixings. But, 75 or 80 million of us will be missing, missing because their mothers had them murdered. We will sit down and eat a bird, giving little thought to either birds or those missing form the table.

Two days ago, the fine folks that publish the Daily Bread, had this as the first paragraph of their daily thought:

"Indian evangelist Sundar Singh wrote about a devastating forest fire in the Himalayas where he was traveling. While many were trying to fight it, a group of men stood looking up at a tree with flames climbing up its branches. They were watching a mother bird flying frantically in circles above the tree. She was chirping out an alarm to her nest full of fledglings. As the nest began to burn, the mother bird didn't fly away; instead she zoomed down and covered her brood with her wings. In seconds she and her nestlings were burned to ashes."

That mother bird, died protecting her babies. In the last 30 years, no less than 75 million US babies have been murdered by their mothers. They murdered them by taking them, trapped within their wombs, to licensed medical butchers called abortionist. Some of you will have, sitting at your table tomorrow, women who have slaughtered their babies, others of you will have the butcher who does abortions at your table. God tells us that His word will not come back void.

Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near:

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:6-11)

I am not trying to throw ice water on your celebration tomorrow, quite the opposite, what I would suggest you do is this. Since everyone expects to hear Grace said before meals on Thanksgiving, why not use that time as an opportunity to let the wicked, the heathen, the mother who murdered her baby, hear the word of God? For God tells us that if we preach His word, His word will not come back to Him empty. Trust God, use His word tomorrow in your Grace, quote Him exactly.

Try adding this to your Thanksgiving Grace: as you thank God for the food and the company, say this:

And Lord we thank You most of all for what You did on the cross for us: for Lord as Your word tells us, Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

Oh Lord we thank You for letting us know that our eternity is in our hands, that You will only judge us by how we judge You, for if we thank and give our lives to You, You will in return give us eternal peace with you.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved,

he that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the condemnation, that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than Light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the Light, neither cometh to the Light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

But he that doeth truth cometh to the Light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

And then say Amen and leave everything in the hands of God and enjoy your meal knowing that you have brought the word of God to those who are unsaved.

The Lord be with you all and may all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

God blessed America when she feared Him, now it appears, she may face His wrath.
