Judge others as you would be judged. Monday September 16th, 2002
While still giving the sermon on the Mount, the Lord Jesus said: Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again (Matthew 7:1&2)
Let's look again at what the Lord said, what Jesus was saying is this. If you are strong enough to accept everyone without judging them, you are blessed in deed so that you will not be judged, but will simply enter into the kingdom of God. But, since no one is going to be able to do that except the Son of Man, you should judge others as you yourself would like to be judged, for with the standards that you use to judge others, those are the standards God will use to judge you.
In other words, only Jesus could accept every person regardless of their position, color, race, creed, actions, sex, etc. as for the rest of us, He says: "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged". Yes, we will be judged as we judge others. And further more, "and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again". Yes, the way you deal with others is the way you yourself will be dealt with.
Now that I have you confused, let's go back and look again, but let's put them in another perspective. Have you ever wondered why some are chosen by God for salvation and others are not? Why it was that God loved Jacob but hated Esau? After all, Jacob and Esau we twins, and it was Jacob that seemed to be deceitful, yet it is Jacob that God loved and Esau whom He hated. Why?
God does not look at what you say or write, He looks at your heart. And within your heart HE sees, not your outward demeanor, but your inward true feelings and beliefs. While you may talk love, love, love, He knows if your heart is really hate, hate, hate. He knows if you are serious when you come to Him begging forgiveness and begging Him to take your life and use it as He would. That is what is meant by: "and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again". If you judge a man by his color, his riches, his positions, God knows it. Oh you may claim to love the poor, the downtrodden, but in your heart, you and God know the truth. You may claim to not have a prejudiced bone in your body, but, in your heart, you and God knowhow you truly feel about blacks, browns, yellows, whites, etc. You see if you're black and reject a man for your daughter just because he is white, you may very well find yourself being rejected by God because you are black.
God knows it is not possible for you not to be judgmental and you had best be just that, especially when it comes to what you are exposing your family to. But, you had also better judge by God's word and not by man's word. What do I mean by that? God tells you to separate yourself from heathens, man tells you to love homosexuals, lesbians, abortionist, liars, cheats and AT&T. Man tells you to dress your daughters and sons in the current fashions, you had best believe that God does not want you allowing your twelve year old daughter to expose her belly, thighs and other parts to public display.
Look, in the book of Acts, the Apostles John and Peter were standing before the high mucky mucks of the day, they had been told to stop preaching Jesus, they replied: "We ought to obey God rather than men." (Acts 5:29) It is God you are going to be judged by, don't you think it is God's rules you should live by? Let me rephrase it, how would you like to go into a court of law in one country, while using the defense of the law in another country. Let's say you get caught driving down the streets of London on the left side, how far do you think you'll get by telling the judge he is wrong, since you come from the USA and we drive on the left, so you're right and all of England is wrong? Same thing when you stand before God, when God asks you why you sent your children to public schools, your defense had better be based upon His word and not the nonsense of man's laws.
Conversation in heaven:
God says: "So, I gave you three wonderful children, and you sent them into the public schools system, so that by the age of 12, two of your daughters were no longer virgins and at 13 your son was using drugs and using My name in vain! What do you have to say for yourself?"
Let me suggest you say: "Lord God Creator of all things, I plead stupid and beg for forgiveness". And then you'd best hope the Christian world is wrong and the Roman Catholic Cult is right and that there is a purgatory.
Because if you say this, you are as President Bush was so fond of saying, in deep do. "Well Lord, I didn't want to get in trouble with the truant officer, and we really needed my wife's pay check, after all, we had the beach house, her car and our 401k's to think about." For I fear you'll hear this: "Go to the down elevator!"
So, yes it would be wonderful if we were able to accept everyone without being judgmental, but since we can't we must judge based upon God's Holy Word, the Bible and not man's hollow laws. For remember these two things:
Fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell! (Matthew 10:28)
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Matthew 6:24)
So, who will you fear? God or man?
Who will you serve? God or satan?
And by whose rules will you judge others? God's or satan's?
Choose well my readers, choose well.
God blessed America when she feared Him, now it appears, she may face His wrath.
